i think my hottest deltarune take is that soriel is still good, like fully deadass i love it, EVEN MORE SO now that we have LAYERS to the relationship itself

1. dreemurr family is divorced and asriel is away at college, meaning that the family is split and fragile in general

2. toriel is in a budding relationship with sans, which kris is NOT pleased about but has no way of realistically preventing

3. asgore still hasn’t gotten over the divorce so if he finds this out he’ll be distraught even tho he does not have the inherent right to a romance with his ex-wife just because he feels wronged

4. asgore is trying to get toriel and him back together, via the method of proving what “actually happened” to result in her divorcing him, while toriel is already over him entirely

5. toriel and sans are grown adults who can do what they wish and are full well within their rights to a relationship (regardless of kris disliking it)

case closed, i love the implications and plot relevance of deltarune soriel because both angst and fluff can exist in tandem yayayaa ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

Had a horrible Deltarune theory in the process of thinking about other explanations for Susie bleeding bc half human theory is too silly for me. What if you stop bleeding when you’re baptized? Susie probably hasn’t been, Sans isn’t even at church, and besides them, the prophecy religion is so prevalent that not being able to bleed is one of those “common sense” things about monsters that isn’t entirely true. All humans still bleed, of course. This has absolutely no evidence in its favor, but neither does half human theory, so I’m fine believing in it for now.
