- completed an intro to igneous rocks lab for petrology

- completed a microscope lab for optical mineralogy

- took notes for petrology

and we’re back baby!! my spring semester officially started on the 13th but i had nothing to report on until today hehe

i am very excited for this semester’s courses, i’m taking petrology, environmental regulations, natural disasters, optical mineralogy, and geological data analysis! crossing my fingers for a good semester

i also have started using this selfcare app called Finch that my mom introduced to me and i am liking it a lot! the goals and stuff i can set for the day is honestly very helpful but my favorite part is seeing how often my mom will send me little messages and have her bird visit my house :)

Second week of sem started and I am currently in the library, studying. I have a cold and probably a fever *cough* yesterday's coke *cough* but I have to finish my readings for class tomorrow so hopefully I pull through

our psychology class had us make these comfort symbols and write an essay about them. i chose the ivy, the book of beholding, and the lion. there’s a lot of personal stuff in it, and it was one of those few exercises in class which really had me look at my life from a narrator’s perspective. it was nice, in a detached sort of way. i’m pretty proud on how the lil doodles came out though, so there’s that.

16: i usually make my own drinks, so it’s usually just cold instant coffee with some milk. but if i order out it’s cheesecake and pearl milktea.

19: honestly pretty lonely. i don’t really go on here often enough to make friends, and when i do it’s usually with a select few. nevertheless, it’s much more enjoyable to post here than on ig or twt as they can be… constricting.

- finished refractometry lab for optical mineralogy

- started mafic/ultramafic igneous rock lab for petrology

- finished a chapter review assignment for environmental regulations

- worked on a group project on the 2013 el reno tornado for natural disasters

whew busy day! the weather is so nasty outside which usually makes being productive difficult for me but i was pretty successful today. i also went to therapy today and i think that definitely had an impact, i set some solid goals and i honestly feel really good about my future right now. it’s been a rough couple of months but i think i’m finally clawing my way out of my rut :)
