Headcanon: Batboys as New Fathers

This guy researched on everything to be a father
But when it really comes time to do it, he’s lowkey freaking out
Or at least, trying to be
You can see the internal panic in his eyes
EXPECT TEARS WHEN HE HOLDS HIS BABY FOR THE FIRST TIME
Give him a few days though and he’ll get the hang of it
Of course he’s not an expert on anything, but he’s going the extra mile
He insists on doing everything and letting you rest
Because “babe, our child came out of you. I think you’ve done enough work”
THIS GUY IS JUST TOO PRECIOUS OKAY
At first he thinks he doesn’t deserve the bundle of happiness
He’s so scared he’s going to accidentally hurt the baby
But like Dick, he tries his very best to be a father
It takes him a while to get used to filtering his words and actions though
“What do you mean I have to ‘mind my language’?”
He takes less dangerous jobs and spend more time with you and the baby
And although it’s to spend more time with his family, he also wants to be there to protect the people he loves most
He did all the research on being a father and raising a kid but he still feels so unprepared
Will cry when he holds the baby for the first time
He prepares you and himself for the responsibility
But perhaps he over-prepared
Will be the one to take the night shift baby duty because, let’s admit, he never sleeps anyway
But he cuts back on his work
Will go to Alfred for baby advice
Damian has done all his research, gone to the others for advice and even has some experience in raising kids because his brothers probably made him babysit his niece/nephew
Him staring in amazement at his baby when he first holds her/him
He makes sure you don’t overwork yourself
He’s OVERLY protective, to the point where he watches anyone who holds the baby like a hawk
But to your child, he’s an absolutely cinnamon roll
This guy has a serious soft spot
He takes a lot of photos actually
But you never found out until years later when he showed you the album
