AITA for lying to my son and beating him to a pulp?
So I (2000+M) have been lying to my son (17M) all his life by telling him that I came to this earth to protect everyone and be a hero. Although that was a lie because I was actually here to prep this planet for an invasion for our people to colonize it.
So anyway when I told my son the truth he grew uncharacteristically angry at me and we fought. The fight was really messy, and I proceeded to beat him to a bloody pulp while implying that I didn’t care for him and could easily have another son. I also used his body to kill a subway full of people but I promise I did that for his own good. Anyway afterwards I fled the planet and now I’m starting to think I wasn’t entirely in the right. Am I the Asshole?
This is fucking hilarious
This is the most stupid unsatisfying ending
*laughs in game of thrones*
I hope all you people who “cancelled” Johnny Depp feel like the fucking morons you are
May is honestly such a good fucking mom.
I screamed more than a guy in a reaction video
Everybody when Sam suggested democracy
Jon going back to the Night's watch like
Things I liked about Endgame:
Natasha. One of the best characters in the film, her death was magnificent.
Scott and his importance in the film.
Scott defending Steve’s ass. Funny and Steve’s ass is a masterpiece.
Steve’s face coming out of the elevator after saying Hail Hydra. Steve is a little shit, I love him.
Steve distracting himself by saying that Bucky is alive.
Loki who greets Hulk when the elevator doors close.
Lila Barton.
Peggy Carter and Howard Stark.
“On your left”
Steve taking Mjolnir. Pure poetry.
The power of Wanda.
“I am Iron Man”
Things I didn’t like:
Tony blaming Steve. Everyone knows that it wasn’t his fault.
The scene with all the girls. It could have been done better and it shows that it was made just to be able to shout “Girl Power”.
The reunion between the various characters. Three hours of film, and 30 seconds for this. Ok.
Thor. They made him totally stupid.
Some characters were seen for a total of 30 seconds.
Thor’s ending.
Steve’s ending.
Captain Marvel was totally useless.
Bruce and Hulk. I like Bruce and I like Hulk, but I don’t like BruceHulk.
Well I'm pretty sure the "girl power" thing was a reference to A-Force, you know, the all girl avengers team up but what do I know.
I thought Thor was joining the guardians? So I mean if that's true then his story hasn't completely ended
Game of Thrones is putting me in the awkward position of having to say “I agree that this is the obvious and inevitable conclusion of this character’s arc, but the writers got us there in the dumbest possible way.” It’s a difficult criticism to express without sounding petty, y’know?
Honestly this outcome has been foreshadowed since last season at the very least. Dany has always been ruthless and this is just an extension of that once she’s been pushed too far. This wasn’t a character assassination for her. If the people didn’t love her, this is what would’ve happened in Essos as well.
People forget that The Mad King wasn’t always mad. He was originally considered a kind and benevolent ruler. He didn’t go mad until he started getting paranoid about the people liking his family, small council, and hand (Tywin) more than him. Sound familiar?
It sounds like, at least to me, the Targaryen madness starts with paranoia and progresses from there. We’ve seen that Dany is paranoid about Jon’s claim to the throne, despite him making it clear that he doesn’t want it.
Dany going mad was always a possibility. Losing her two closest friends, two of her dragons, and then having Jon reject her love on top of all that pushed her over the edge.
As far as I’m concerned the only character arc they fucked up this episode was Jaime’s
Okay this makes sense but I’d loved to have actually SEEN it happen. Maybe see Dany talking to herself about everyone abandoning her etc., progressively more desperate and crazy so people like Sansa & co. would have had more evidence to support their suspicions
I completely agree, they needed more time to flesh out the mad queen story for it to have been well written. I don't like where they went with her character, just to be clear. I guess what I'm mostly saying is that it although it wasn't well done, it didn't come completely out left field
Honestly though can someone please get Arya a helmet? Girl's gonna have CTE by the end of this
