What I love about Better Call Saul is that most of the really impressive, seemingly unrealistic things in the show are totally possible, there’s nothing actually undoable, you just have to be insane. Jimmy individually switched around two numbers on thousands of documents by hand, exclusively using a photocopier, glue, and a razor, and then replaced all the documents, and anyone could do that but no one would because they’re not insane. But Jimmy is. And he does it and he achieves something near miraclious, but technically anyone could.
And Jimmy isn’t just insane when convenient, he’s insane all the time. He buys the exact replica of a man’s extremely expensive suit down to the fabric types, gets it tailored to fit, just to put a billboard of himself dressed as that man plagiarizing his logo. And he wears that suit to talk to a judge about a cease and desist- WITH THAT MAN. They’re wearing the same suit. He didn’t need to actually spend all that money and buy the real deal. But he did.
This applies to other characters btw. Everything everyone does makes perfect sense because most of them are insane. Mike isn’t a superhero he’s just really good at coming up with insanely complex plans, and while some of those include cool action sequences, most of them include using children’s toys as bait and sitting still doing nothing but watching for hours and hours on end. And no one else would do this because no one else thinks “let me cut the power with a balloon.” But Mike would.
Gus is ruling the drug world with an iron fist and he’s also sweating his ass off scrubbing the friers in a random location of his chain business he owns to use as a front. And he’s gnashing his teeth about it and doesn’t leave until it’s ridiculously spotless. If any of these guys had chosen to be, idk GeoGuesser pros, the exact same stuff would’ve happened because they’re all just like that.
