This blog is run by two parts of the same system, @doodle-mations and @just-another-sys
The first account ( doodle-mations ) is one for the "main group" of the system, or the main fronters. The second account ( just-another-sys ) is for the introjects. We have them linked to different emails because it makes it easier for us to personally organize stuff!
We use this blog for discussing and showing our stances on things that would be considered "discourse" ( in some way or another ) such as, but not limited to: plurality, alterhumanity, disabilities, and identity in general.
We also have our own kind of "this-is" blog linked to just-another-sys: @calling-out-the-irony ! Think of it as a "this is ironic bigotry" blog.

i hate it when in discussions of race changing characters, a lot of people use anime characters as examples, who are japanese or otherwise asian, and just say its ok to make them black because they "are white"
I personally dont like changing characters like that either way unless its like imagining yourself in their place or if they are open to redesigns, but even if you are ok with making white characters into a minority, doing this with asian characters is just blatant racism and erasure of asian people and is an example of how in recent culture, youre either black or white and other people arent seen as much in this kind of discussion
all love to the transxenine guy but part of making up your own hyperniche labels and pronouns and shit is that 99.99% of society is not going to know wtf you're talking about. Getting assumed as nonbinary is still not normative, the vast majority of people see only 2 genders, man and woman, or three: man, woman, freak. Im not arguing that anon should change labels or whatever but gotta kinda toughen up and decide what you want: do you want 100% authentic self expression, oe do you want to be easily parseable and accepted by most people? which brings the most joy and which the most distress? How can you make your outside better conform to your transxenine truth? People have been bodymodding and giving themselves full body tattoos, horns implants, split tongues, dyed eyeballs, gauged piercings, and scarification for years to indicate non-normative and idiosyncratic ideas about gender and beauty to others. But if you don't have a personality that likes to cause waves, if you need acceptance for others, you're never going to find it from the majority of people identifying as transxenine. Are you okay with that? Can you make it awesome anyway? do with that what you will.
repeat again because i know tumblr users have a hard time reading: i am not against funky labels or identities. i am responding to anons struggle with acceptance and being seen authentically while using a funky label. and i am suggesting what can be done about it, and that self reflection is needed to solve it. society is what it is: we can change it, but we have to act on it, not sit around waiting for it to just accept us and understand us.

This is incredibly transphobic, I'm almost at a loss of what to say.
"Making up your own hyperniche labels and shit" transxenine is not hyperniche. Xeninity is really fucking common, actually. Society just refuses to listen to xenine voices. Xenine sublabels are often hyperniche, but xeninity itself is not.

1- Stop erasing history. Xenogenders have been a topic of debate and harassment online for decades. People know what xenogenders are. Just because *you* never heard of it doesn't mean *others* haven't.
2- Body modifications are a form of medical transitioning for some people.
3- There was no reason for you to bring up this anons hypothetical transition goals, and I still have no idea why you did so.
4- You're perpetuating this concept transxeninity has a "look." No gender has a "look." The only way someone should determine gender is through what they are told. This is exactly the mindset that gets TGD, gender non-conforming, and varsex people misgendered. "Oh, that person has short hair and a beard, surely thats a man" - thats how you sound. You sound ridiculous.
Some xenines feel more comfortable presenting in a specific way, sure, but that doesn't mean xeninity has a "look." Xenines can present however they want, and their gender still shouldn't be assumed by others. NOBODY'S GENDER should be assumed by others.
Saying things like "do transxenines always wear green hats" is akin to saying "do transfemmes always wear dresses?" The whole point of the TGD movement is to DESTROY gender roles, not create *new ones.*
4- Why are you applying pronouns to this anon? This anon never said their pronouns. Why are you shoving ze/zir and xe/hir onto them?
5- "Growing a backbone" is, once again, a cruel thing to say about trans people who are vulnerable. Stop expecting all marginalized people to be punk and radical, some of them just want to fucking live their lives.
6- "You know very, very little about the trans experience" is actually fucking UNHINGED to say to a trans person living in a HIGHLY conservative area who has openly spoken about being violently hatecrimed and PERMANENTLY DISABLED due to being trans. I experience constant misgendering and harassment, even within the trans community. I am struggling to medically transition due to my financial status. I am trans, I have been trans for YEARS, and you don't get to act like you have the superior transgender experience in my inbox. Literally go fuck yourself, you piece of shit. Jfc.

and i was talking to my roommate abt it and she says it's to deal w trafficking but i don't see how it does. she also said that the majority of sex workers are trafficking victims and that the workers for whom it's just a job are a minority? is that true?

This form of "legalized sex work" is known as the Nordic model and is actually not what sex workers want or advocate for! Sex workers push for decriminalization! Let's go over what the differences are!
The Nordic model:
"[aka] The Entrapment Model refers to the theory that criminalizing clients and third parties (e.g., managers) will reduce demand in the sex trade, thereby “freeing” sex workers, who are often seen as victims. This framework has vocal proponents among certain prohibitionist feminists, but its impact has been devastating where it has been implemented. Unambiguous data shows a clear correlation between laws that criminalize clients and an increase in violence against sex workers, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and exploitation within the sex trade. While the Entrapment Model may seem enticing in theory, it’s impossible to create a safe environment for sex workers and their clients when one side of the transaction is criminalized."

What can legalized sex work look like in practice?

Now as far as the overlap between the number of sex workers and trafficking victims, it's important we know these terms are not interchangeable, and also why someone might be both a victim of human trafficking and choose to be a sex worker.
Definition of a sex worker:
"Sex workers include female, male, trans and gender diverse adults, and young people (over 18 years of age) who receive money or goods in exchange for sexual services, either regularly or occasionally."
Definition of human trafficking:
"Trafficking means the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation."
Sex workers participate in selling of consensual sexual services, while victims of human trafficking are being abused.
This being said, some people who have experienced human trafficking do choose to become sex workers for many reasons, but even if their reason is linked to their past, consensual work does not equal abuse. There is no real way to know the exact number of overlap between these two groups of people, as collecting accurate data on either group is difficult to begin with, not to mention the conflation of the two muddies the waters further.

I looked it up and back in March she was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison. I don’t think that’s harsh enough of a sentence for this crime (especially because she was beating multiple children on an ongoing basis), but it’s better than what a lot of criminals like this get, especially women.
