so this guy right he makes ancient egyptian themed furry costumes. he makes all kinds but mostly he specializes in Horus heads. it's his passion really. he loves to make the beautiful falcon head of the Sun God. anyway so he's at a con one day and he sees this whole bunch of people in middle kingdom dress with these indistinguishable animal heads. he's like. oh man these folks could really use a new source, i can hardly tell what animal those are! so he goes over and he says "hey guys! i see you are into ancient egyptian mythological themed furry costumes--if any of you are interested in being the radiant Son of Ra, I am the BEST in the business!"
and the group of people look at each other, then at him. awkward. finally one of them says: "uh. no thanks. we're all Set."
This has been sent to me four times today, so I'm condemning OP to be judged by the 42 and fall into Nuun.
I think every laugh will make OPās heart a bit lighter.

actually he was so happy about the med routine! he would run to the scale in the morning, and sit on it purring, because he knew that after medicine came treats!
when the months of medications were finally finished and tests showed him cured of FIP, he actually got really frustrated with me bc he thought I was forgetting. heād just sit on his weighing scale and stare at me balefully.

The problem is not the fact that they can't produce more missiles; they can. It's the fact that it takes a very long time to replenish equipment and munitions and sustain vital operations without disruption. Iran is producing missiles and drones at a rapid speed and at a low cost with the purpose of putting pressure on US bases and their air-defense/interceptor systems all over SWANA. However, it costs a fortune for the US to produce one missile: it is estimated that one Tomahawk missile costs 2.5 million dollars, while a Patriot anti-missile costs 4 millions dollars. Contrast this with the Shaheed drones that cost like 50.000 - 100.000 usd each. On top of that, much of the US air defense systems have already been destroyed, which means that they have to be replaced. This is why they had to pull a THAAD interceptor from South Korea and deploy it in SWANA. Second, they're also using much of their air defense and interceptor system in Ukraine, which is rapidly facing shortages.
Iran is simply waging a war of attrition, and the US can't keep up with the pressure, since these bases are far away from the imperial metropole. However, with Bibi visiting the WH tomorrow, it is likely that Trump will endorse a military campaign in coordination with the settler state.

One tragic aspect of the Odyssey that I've never really seen handled by any adaptation is the link between Odysseus' marriage and the Trojan War itself.
When Helen was of age to be married, all the Lords of Greece came to seek her hand. This was an issue for her stepfather the King of Sparta who could only pick one husband and then would have to deal with the far greater number of angry rejected suitors.
One suitor was Odysseus, then a younger man. He quickly ascertained that he had no chance of marrying Helen. Ithaca was too poor for him to even bring any proper gifts, let alone a dowry. But he did catch the eye of the King's niece, one Penelope.
Now Penelope was still a bit out of Odysseus' league, but not so much as Helen was. So he makes a deal with the King of Sparta. Support my bid to marry Penelope, and I'll give you a solution to this suitors problem. The King agrees, so Odysseus suggests all the suitors swear an oath to defend Helen's marriage from anyone who might strike against it. They all, including Odysseus, so swear, and Helen is married to Menelaus. The King proves as good as his word, and Penelope is wed to Odysseus.
Of course this means that Odysseus has now bound himself to fight for Helen and Menelaus. After an attempt to feign madness he is forced to fulfill his duty.
So his own plan, to marry Penelope and stop a hoard of ravenous suitors, ends with him forced to defend his own marriage from a hoard of ravenous suitors.

I was five years old when Sesame Street first aired in 1969. I remember coming home from kindergarten and watching the show in the afternoon, and then, the next day, kids talking about what Oscar had said over snack time (he was the first character for children I saw that was allowed to be grouchy and not be ābadā).
Sesame Street celebrated a neighborhood that was multiracial and multicultural. When I was in preschool, that was my reality, too. Though I did and still do have a lot of cultural racism to unlearn, the extent to which I was able to learn how to be friends and neighbors with a diverse peer group was supported by Sesame Street. To be clear, this is why conservatives have wanted to destroy it from the beginning.
The Mississippi State Commission for Educational Television briefly banned Sesame Street in 1970 with the flimsy excuse that Mississippians werenāt ready to see racially integrated neighborhoods. And that happened in a few other Southern states, including one where the owner of a local NBC affiliate chose to air it, for free, no ad revenue, because he thought people were ready for it ā or needed to get comfortable with it. And these state ETV commissions eventually relented after getting a lot of negative publicity.
