Have a very firm set of headcannons for the ending of Sanctuary For None which include Helen leaving Nikola to set the self-destruct up for her so all she needs to do is activate it, and that Nikola's job for the explosion itself is to get Henry free of the blast radius and he doesn't want to, but he does as she asks. He doesn't realise until she kisses him and they do that goodbye my love stare across the lab that she doesn't know if she will make it out.
After the blast, Nikola digs her out and shoves her into the underground Sanctuary swearing at her the entire time. She let's him fuss. Henry stays above ground to 'hunt' for the body and then, devestated ofc, goes to London as a decoy and slips into underground that way. Kate finds out when she arrives to Hollow Earth with the Fifth Ward abnormals to find Nikola Tesla slouched in a chair muttering about being Helen's errand boy. Will had to wait till he'd quit SCIU, and he isn't impressed he didn't know first until Kate points out that Magnus told her son and boyfriend first and he needs to get over himself. They all find Biggie getting his strength back in Magnus's new, fancy infirmary.
Other headcannons percolating but genuinely just want to think that Helen, at the ninth hour, told Nikola and Henry enough to let her blow the Sanctuary up but I bet they didn't actually think she'd do it, hence the devestated shock on their faces. They thought it would be a just in case bluff and are afraid she didn't make it out of the fight with Caleb. And that her immediate family - Henry and Nikola - are who she has to the new Sanctuary first. Imagine how pissed off Will would be to arrive into the Sanctuary to find Henry going 'Dude! About time!' And then Nikola waltzing in, calling him the Prodigal Protoge or something.
Leaving that as my happy place. No more angst thanks. Teslen forever after, Helen and Henry's mother and son duo.
Watching Sanctuary and whenever Helen Magnus and Henry Foss are coming up with plans or (in this instance) off to blow stuff up I just get that meme running through my head of 'Let's do [crimes] with mama!'
Crimes. Blow stuff up. Break into something. Run a heist. Come up with something genius.
Helen raised that boy, and sometimes you can tell.
2. Tillsätt 1 dl havregryn.
3. Tillsätt 5 msk kakao.
4. Tillsätt 1,25 dl vaniljsocker.
5. Tillsätt 1,4 dl kallt kaffe.
6. Arbeta ihop till en deg smet. Ställ in i kylskåp för att stelna något.
(Det här luktade gudomligt.)

Magnus’ Body Appreciation Post
One thing about Farscape is that it really follows through on a lot of consequences of violence, and I think that's because at the center of the show is a living ship, deliberately created without any means of violence, whose only substantive protection is running away further and faster than anyone else. For a show with space guns, star fighters, intergalactic armadas, and an above average number of planets being destroyed, a whole lot of Farscape's plots revolving around avoiding violence, and the total futility of violence. Two major antagonists both pursue the protagonists with violent actions and intentions, and both are total futile. One blames them for the accidental death of his brother, the other thinks they have important information that none of them could share if they wanted to. When the protagonists resort to violence, the outcomes range from mixed success that creates new and worse problems to purely being a bad decision full stop. There's two whole characters who were child soldiers and they're haunted by the violence of their past, with fragile grips on the tenuous sense of belonging that comes from being stranded with strangers. The whole crew gets a reputation and discover it's a bad thing when anyone, anywhere might assume you're a dangerous violent monster.
And a lot of the ptsd and emotional problems play out in hilarious ways, because that's kind of life, so it never beats you over the head with the idea that everyone is Very Sad, it's just baked into their sharp tempers, sudden flares of emotion, rambling speeches, self destructive behavior and so on. No one has anyone to talk to who hasn't got some kind of thorny, deeply troubled violence both in the text of the show or the past, because it kicks off with a jailbreak. The one calm, therapuetic crew member is like that because it's how she copes with having been a former terrorist and doing shitloads of murders. The action is exciting and interesting but no one has a good outcome form violence. It's just like life for real.
