When I was a kid, I thought those pillars went down to the sea floor.
In reality, they usually go down to some large submerged floats.
I dislike this.
Pillars and floats like that are pretty stable, compared to regular boats, so there’s even a research vessel, called FLIP, that purposefully capsizes itself to be more steady when conducting research.
YEA IT FUCKIN IS (id embedded in image)
AI slop prompters will never feel the exhilaration of drawing fanatically. Time becomes irrelevant. Your body morphs into just a device for devotion. You are devotion. Never blinking. Your heart beat might as well have never began, because you have become a machine for craft. You are every person before you that has ever touched pencil to paper. Your blood sings as you become a singularity. Never blinking. Never breathing. Never hearing. Eyes on paper, hand moving as if pushed and pulled by an unknown force. They will never understand the madness you feel when you enter a state where you do not starve, ache, or think. The moment you snap out of that haze, your hands covered in graphite and your stomach clawing at your insides for sustenance, that's the closest thing to divinity I have ever felt. I chase it even when my body deteriorates. I understand the weakness of my flesh and it does not deter me
I have ecstatic seizures that compell me to write for days. I have touched infinity and it's interesting to see how it seeps through the neural nets in my brain out my fingers onto the keys, and it's even interesting to see how that looks fed back through finely and intentionally tuned, trained, and modulated neural networks on my GPU. I'm better than you at knowing and appreciating what art is.
AI slop prompters like me actually draw too. Literally do know what you're talking about, and it does apply to any creative process. I know better than you cause I'm not an anxious reactionary snob who has decided to cling to the losing side of a battle between artists that has been won by "slop" every single time for all of history. You've told yourself a story about the skill ceiling of generative AI, and the value of the artistic process of using it, and I hope it's some small comfort to you. Keep losing.
did chatgpt write that response for you too
#Make Racists Scared Again 2026
Share if you want people to know they should be scared to be racist around you 👊🏾
"making them afraid will make them more racist" that's wild to me, because we live in a whole culture of social consequences for antiracism anyway. It is literally safer to be a racist than it is to speak up against it, socially.
Idk about you, but "I'm afraid no one will want to be my friend if I'm a white supremacist" seems like a pretty logical thought process to have, and I wish THAT were the normal and not "I'm afraid my friends will hate me if I tell them they made racist jokes".
It's ironic racism comes from those that fear others. We humans are weird when it comes to the complexities of how we interact with those we see as different. It's why I believe showing kindness to others where it's most appropriate and does the most good helps far more then spreading more hate and anger to those we think deserve it. That's not to say every situation has to be met with kindness or that anger doesn't have its place, just that the end goal should be making everyone feel safe and accepted. Perhaps it's too optimistic a viewpoint, but it's one that keeps me going.
"You're morally better than me."
Since that seems to be what a lot of you really want me to say in response to these "we're all the human race" type responses 👍🏾
Too be clear, I wasn't meaning be nice to the racists. I was meaning more from the viewpoint of helping and being nice to those who need it most. Pushing back against racism is absolutely important and is essential. I'm never meant to come at this topic from a "I am higher than thou" type response. I understand that some people can't be helped or are stuck in their ways. Whether you believe me or not, I do not condone racists or other hateful groups action.

This has been my main argument against "AI" from the very beginning.
OpenAI scraped the entire web. All of which had been a labor of love from humans. Wikipedia is the backbone of a lot of LLMs, and that was volunteer human labor. They stole it and now they're selling it back to us.
And worse, they're trying to destroy the free sources that they stole from. It's destruction of human knowledge on an unprecedented scale. The burning of the library of Alexandria has nothing on this.
why can rockstar games institutionalise you for life like nikita kruschev for being autistic
He didn't steal 10 million dollars. They made that number up as a loss, they never fucking had it. Rockstar has spent more than a billion fucking dollars on GTA VI and will likely make billions more when it gets released.
Uber is a fucking shell game of a company designed to leech investor capital and output bootleg cabs.
Nvidia posted a profit in 2023 of $4.37 billion. This is like someone stealing less than a penny from me.
And they lock this kid in a prison hospital for LIFE?
Capitalism is disgusting.
Nobody should buy GTA til they free Arion Kurtaj
What with GTA VI going up for pre-order i'd just like to remind everyone that rockstar conspired with the UK government to lock an 18-year-old away for life for hacking them.
The Trump administration is cynically exploiting calls for stricter AI regulation to pass broad censorship measures at the federal level.
So, in terrible news, Trump's trying to pull some strings to pass this massive internet censorship bill, featuring all the kinds of internet censorship we're terrified of, including mandatory ID for accessing basically any website, specifically to crush state regulation of AI, because apparently this man will always see the moral bottom of the barrel and start digging.
So, if you live in the US and hate censorship and AI you know what to do, contact your congresspeople and tell them do not fucking dare let this through or so help us god...
IMPORTANT UPDATE: The bastards just worked out a deal on the package, and they're going to try and ram it through the House in the next couple of weeks.
So, if you've been waiting to call, the time is NOW. Do it ASAP, be polite, be informed, but light up those phones like a Christmas tree!

Damn Oblobbles and the RNG is giving me a run for my money. >.>
Obble Obble's, Markoth, and Absolute Radiance were the bane of my time with getting all Radiant bosses. Those three are what I call the trio of "RANDOM B*LLSH*T GO!" I haven't even attempted Radiant Abs Rad because I know my limits. I was lucky completing Ascended Abs Rad and it's been years since I've last tried. Glad I made that far at all, never doing it again unless I want to intentionally go bald.
I hope there’s an afterlife so that whoever made this pot 2,000 years ago can brag that their cookware is so good it’s still usable literally millennia later. Something about this object being lost for centuries and then rediscovered, and being put (successfully) to its original purpose again is so pleasing to me.
Some Uzbek digging a canal: “Oh fuck yes a free pot. This rules.”
I think it’s kind of beautiful that this pot just got used as an ordinary pot. Like imagine you’re a smith and you make a pot so good that people are using it 2000 years later. You’d be proud, right?
What is old is made new again.

In case anyone finds it helpful because mobility aids are horrifically expensive and inaccessible…
And for those people who have access to mobility devices but might benefit from a second chair they can abuse without risking expensive damage…
Erik Kondo has made a website, Open Source Innovations, that details plans for DIY wheelchairs. These wheelchairs can be made from common materials like wood, plastic, and pvc. They are lightweight and can be custom fit to the user allowing from the same degree of movement you would get from a custom chair. And they are durable and easily repairable. (he has been stress testing his latest design by dropping it down stairs, dropping it out of a car, launching it across a driveway, and throwing it off a deck). Its 12lbs and I think he said its was in the $200 ish range for parts.
He also is working on cheap, open source, accessible designs for beach chairs, off road chairs, motorized attachments (think smart drive), and so on. Plus he skateboards in his wheelchair. Cool dude, helpful info, pass it on.
It's incredibly sad people have to resort to this, but it's a damn good resource. Use it. Spread awareness. Maybe one day people with physical disabilities won't need DIYs like this. But until then, reblog and share.
This is Accessibility!
That's so amazing! It is unfortunate that so many people will need this, but very very cool that it exists
That other link seems to be broken.
Thank you so much for putting the working one!
I will add it to my original reblog as well.
why is this post completely broken in every way imaginable
Broken notes… deactivated account… removed image….
Finally, we have them all.
In addition: OP’s name is just… gone. No “[insert username]-deactivated[insert a bunch of numbers]” as is the standard for deactivated blogs.
Just the world “deactivated.” Look upon their post, ye mighty, and despair.
It’ll be almost impossible to find this post unless it wanders across your dash.
It wandered across mine. I shall help it travel forward.
