i was thinking abt how liu qingge fought binghe everyday for 5 years, that's a long time like a really long time and then realised binghe was supposed to be in the abyss for 5 years but ended up coming out (pun intended) after 2 years. so if u think abt it according to the og storyline and what ended up happening with sy!SQQ, binghe and SQQ were Supposed to be away from each other for 5 years no matter what storyline they ended up at. it would be really interesting if that's how the system intended for certain things to go like it's out of the character's hands. like yes their words and actions are completely up to them, how they spend their time too, but outside of the plot like SQQ Having to be publicly slandered and ending up in prison, i mean the smaller details like yea binghe speed ran the abyss and sqq self detonated but I'll see u when I'm ready is mostly an illusion of free will bcs that's something completely up to the system, u will Have to be ready by the 5th year. i don't know if any of this makes sense but the 5 year gap was necessary for their individual character developments and overall political shift that had to happen in both PIDW and svsss
im dumb as fuck but there are too many fives and whatnot in the plotline to not be connected in some way

displaying acts of love and courtship is common for demons however even demons have a limit. that limit is broken and shattered every day in mobeiās palace. mobei is consistently covered in bite marks, hickeys, scratches, etc. his chest and nipples are usually raw from bites and pressure.
shang qinghua walks around the palace completely unbothered as all the servants see him as a possessive rough cultivator with no regard for etiquette.
another noble demon comes to work out an alliance and sees mobei covered in marks and looks at the servants who just sigh and look back at him. he then begins to believe that mobei is married to an extremely possessive sex crazed demoness and is instead baffled seeing short weak looking shang qinghua kiss mobei.
