but i stay silly! *âsaid in the most world-weary voice you ever did hear*
âbut I stay silly!â
Reblog you stay silly
on it boss
i must not get takeout. takeout is the wallet-killer. takeout is the little-death that brings total obliteration. i will face the kitchen, fridge, and pantry. i will make choices about what to cook and then execute them. when hunger is gone there will be nothing. only i will remain.
Shut Up, I Donât Care
i just have this persistent feeling of âiâm not doing enoughâ combined with âi donât have the energy to do anythingâ and it just really fucking sucks
Black panther poster. Just as relevant today
IF YOU'RE UNEMPLOYED IT'S NOT BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ANY WORK JUST LOOK AROUND: A HOUSING SHORTAGE, CRIME. POLLUTION; WE NEED BETTER SCHOOLS AND PARKS. WHATEVER OUR NEEDS, THEY ALL REQUIRE WORK. AND AS LONG AS WE HAVE UNSATISFIED NEEDS, THERE IS WORK TO BE DONE. ASK YOURSELF, WHAT KINDS OF A WORLD HAS WORK BUT NO JOBS? IT'S A WORLD WERE WORK IS NOT RELATED TO SATISFYING OUR NEEDS, A WORLD WHERE WORK IS ONLY RELATED TO SAT- ISFYING THE PROFIT NEEDS OF BUSINESS.
THIS COUNTRY WAS NOT BUILT BY THE HUGE CORPORATIONS OR G6OVERNMENT BUREAUCRACIES. WAS BUILT BY PEOPLE WHO WORK. AND, IS WORKING PEOPLE WHO SHOULD CONTROL THE WORK TO BE DONE. YET, AS LONG AS EMPLOYMENT IS TIED TO SOMEBODY ELSE'S PR0FITS, THE WORK WON'T GET DONE.
girl help iâm having creation ideas above my skill level
recently saw a comment section full of people, primarily women, talking about loving living with their best friend and being sad about having to live separately one day. some people talking about missing living with their best friend, some talking about âgettingâ to live with their best friend âuntilâ they find partners. saw one person mention that moving out to move in with a partner felt like a divorce. it makes me so genuinely sad⌠all these people recognizing the joy they can find living outside the norm, letting themself live with a friend instead of a romantic partner, but still feeling like they have to live with a spouse eventually. like itâs not even a decision, just an inevitability.
similarly, it makes me sad when someone shares their happiness from living with a friend with others and the biggest response is people insisting/assuming they must have a secret unrecognized romantic connection. just taking over a moment of joy to insist theyâre wrong about their own life and feelings; all to reinforce the lifestyle everyone is already expected to conform to eventuallyâŚ
Something that I have noticed is I know almost nobody my age that goes to a food pantry. I know people who regularly run out of money for food and in general have to eat an unsuitable diet because thatâs what they can afford and they still donât go to a food bank, im not sure if itâs because theyâre embarrassed or maybe if you didnât grow up going you donât know much about it but if youâre financially struggling I really recommend it. And look into other options for food assistance too like community fridges and gardens and other programs that can assist you, where I live Salvation Army pays for an allotted amount of grocery delivery for low income people every month, in the summer farmers take excess produce to the library to be taken by anyone who needs it, etc. There are a LOT of resources for free food that you can look into especially if you are literally not eating because of your financial situation
Btw if you have dietary restrictions you can often let them know and in many cases theyâll prioritize certain items for you

Iâm every one in this
MAN 1 (in a high pitched, whiny voice) Look what youâve done to my peonies!
WOMAN (angrily) Theyâre marigolds!
MAN 2 God! I think sheâs right! They are marigolds!
MAN 1 I may not know my flowers, but I know a (yells in her direction) bitch when I see one!
Itâs back!
I looked this up because I had to know what itâs from. Itâs a film called The Gay Deceivers (1969), and itâs about two straight men who, seeking to avoid the draft, claim to be gay, but then have to keep up the pretense when the army places them under surveillance.
The man in the red cardigan in the clip was played by Michael Greer, who was openly gay himself - unusual for the time. He actually worked closely with the director and rewrote much of the filmâs dialogue to reduce the homophobia and make it more realistic. As a result itâs quite progressive for its time, having a gay character, played by a gay man, living in a happy same-sex relationship, which is more than a lot of media offers us today.
Plus the clip is delightful.
I just needed this again.
(Part 1? lol)This got more ridiculous than I intended but here we are, a little rujinu aquarium date shenanigan inspired by @galaxyspeaking âs great aquarium date concept! I have a part 2 sketched out thatâs more romantic and sappy but weâll see if and when I get to it đ

[ID: Screenshot of a post from the subreddit r/MadeMeSmile with the caption âAccidentally said âLove you!â at the end of a call with an important client yesterday. I heard him giggle as I hung up, and I was mortified. Today, I saw he emailed me this:â
The attached image is a screenshot of an email with the subject line âLove you!â The names, emails, and signatures are blocked out. It reads:
âHey [name]
Just wanted to say that I didn't mean to laugh at you when you accidentally signed off on our call with a âlove you.â I just found it funny because I've definitely done that before, and I know it happens.
I'm glad you have enough love in your life that that response comes naturally. If anything, you should be proud of that :)
Have a great weekend! We'll follow up about my call with Chris on Wednesday, as discussed.â

the problem with autism is sometimes you want to do something (brave) but you need someone to gently walk you through each step so you know what will happen. and people donât like doing that
i had to phone a taxi today, scary
every time i see this post i think of that person who posted on reddit that they wanted to go to subway for the first time but they were scared they would say the wrong thing so someone gave them step by step instructions for the entire process and what all the choices would be and when they would ask what question and i just think
someone will
someone out there will see you and say "yes. the world is scary. but let me hold your hand and show you how to do it anyways"
everyone needs that someone, and everyone can be that someone
The subreddit r/explainlikeimscared is a surprisingly good resource for this. People are always very kind and thorough from what I've seen, and I spend a decent amount of time there giving walkthroughs and answering questions when I know the process.
