I really try not to judge other people for what horny posting they like, but it is kinda sad to me that like 95% of nsfw artwork of Hornet is straight up not her. Like it's a super stereotypical hentai body they slap her head on top of, and almost always don't even bother to properly tag it as a modified body type.
I don't think there's anything wrong with being horny for Hornet Silksong, I've seen weirder before, but I do think there's something wrong with sticking her head on a hentai body type and acting like that's her.
Like... we see Hornet "naked" in game. She's a little stick. Based on what she says in canon, she probably is straight up underfed / suffering from malnutrition. She should be an underfed spindly little thing, who looks like a gust of wind would knock her over.
Worse, there literally are characters in both Hollow Knight & silksong that DO have larger body types, and like, actual body fat. It's seemingly considered attractive in bug culture, at least by Hornet. There ARE characters that have larger body types, and plenty of them! There are tons of characters that could reasonably have a larger body type in humanized version of the characters. They literally exist in game. But for some reason, the people who want to talk a big talk about body positivity aren't interested in maybe exploring other characters with the body type they like, they just want to stick boobs & ass onto the main female character and call it a day.
So much of it, to me at least, comes across as lazy slop. Hornet's the main character, and her tags get a lot of traffic, so stick her in the stereotypical hentai body type and call it a day. It's so profoundly unoriginal and unrelated to the actual character that I struggle to even call a lot of a it a drawing of her. It's just people sticking her little croissant head on the drawing they were already doing to try to get some clicks. It's not about her at all. Who cares what she actually looks likes? Who cares to actually engage with the female character you're supposedly horny about? Who cares to bother to engage with any of the other female characters that have the body type you're interested in?
It's boring and it's lazy. It sucks, and I am profoundly uninterested in engaging with people who insist on doing it and then refuse to even properly tag it so other people who are actually interested in the character can filter it out.
That being said, shout out to the people out there who DO like Hornet for being a stupid little stick. Shout out to everyone whose horny posting about her sincerely, actually bothering to pay attention to her body type & character and being interested in that. And the people who actually bother to care about the characters who in game have larger body types!! Basically everyone but the people taking the laziest possible option to make the most stereotypical nsfw artwork you've seen in your life with a Hornet head on top.
