A really perplexing variation on the "Here's a fun way to play with a convention of this genre" "Isn't this literally just [specific piece of media]" post-response format is when the suggested piece of media doesn't just fall short on the detail level but just straight up isn't what the original post describes even if you're playing fast and loose with interpretation, like you describe something that very clearly requires a world where werewolves exist and in return you get "Isn't this just" with a piece of media that makes a plot point out of how literally no canines exist or have ever existed, let alone people who shapeshift into canines

It's true

So, I've been thinking...

Ever since PETA made that post about how you shouldn't fish or catch bugs in Animal Crossing, I've been thinking about what they'd say about Genshin.

Obviously, they wouldn't want people to hunt any meat products, go fishing, collect eggs, or buy milk. Without these ingredients, you would only be able to make two of the starting nine dishes (and neither one has a special dish attached to it).

They'd hate the fact that everyone kills Timmie's birds.

They'd try to use Ganyu (canonically a vegetarian) as their good example... until they learned that she also kills Timmie's birds.

Xiangling's story quest would be entirely off limits.

And that's just a few of the things I could think of.

But then I realized.

It gets worse.

There's a part of the Liyue archon quests where you have to offer three dishes on top of Mt. Aocang. Those three dishes are Jewelry Soup, Mora Meat, and Matsutake Meat Rolls.

Jewelry Soup is vegan, but the other two dishes obviously have meat.

The only way to progress is to actually craft the dishes yourself.

There are no substitutions.

Therefore.

If you don't hunt for meat, you literally can't finish the story.

PETA would pitch such a fit about that.
