They make me sick
not to be dramatic but sometimes i feel like i don't belong anywhere on this earth like maybe all there is for me is perpetual loneliness + constant desire to go back to a place that doesn’t exist anymore
Can't Mark enjoy a dinner in peace without being interrupted by the random appearance of someone from work?
This is the level of hyperanalystic bullshit I live for
not so fast, in the review of gusteau’s anton ego compares gusteau to chef boyardee or hector boiardi with a tone implying that boyardee is dead and in history
given that gusteau died shortly after this and the will takes 2 years after death
assuming that ego’s review was the same year that boiardi died then the absolute EARLIEST the movie can take place is 1987
and about the incredibles, when looking for the scene with the newspaper i stumbled across this
a headline from 2002, and given that lawsuits generally take a while and september to december is really quick for the banning of supers so let’s say they were banned in mid 2003, at the EARLIEST incredibles can take place in 2018, with ratatouille taking place sometime in between 2003 and 2018
assuming that was a mistake, thunderhead died november 15 1958, a date where superheroes would’ve been illegal if incredibles 1 took place in 1962
and adding onto the impossibility of the date being 1962 his death is included in the shutdown reports of the national supers agency
so the year in which the movies take place is impossible to find because the staff of the incredibles couldn’t chose a date and commit to it
I think I have found the definitive proof for when Ratatouille takes place:
If you look closely, the certificate of the health inspector that Remy and his rat family abducts later in the movie shows two dates: the certification date and the expiration date.
By looking closely, we can see that the certification date is 24/09/98, and the expiration date is 24/09/20. So the movie must be taking place between these two dates. From other contextual clues, I'm inclined to believe that the movie should be set around the first date rather than the second, probably in 1998.

that comment about how you should not borrow grief from the future has saved me multiple times from spiraling into an inescapable state of anxiety. like every time i find myself thinking about how something in the future could go wrong i remember that comment and i think to myself: well i never know, it might get better. it might not even happen the way i think it will and if it does happen and it is sad and bad ill be sad about it then, when it happens. and it’s somehow soo freeing

Cowboy Bebop
OG Pokémon on Kids WB
Soul Eater for some reason
Either Soul Eater or Madoka, I forget which technically came first
Pokémon I feel everyone just had on the TV but one I actually knew was an anime was Mew Mew Power lol
The first anime not intended for children I ever saw was End of Evangelion, by mistake. I wanted to start NGE and for some reason the first search result that popped up was The End, and I foolishly watched it all without understanding anything before realizing I was NOT supposed to start from that. It was a pretty confusing experience.

words doesn’t classical matter order in greek;
we, in a manner akin to that of a man who once was, in Rome, an orator of significant skill, who was then for his elegance of speech renowned and now for his elaborate structure of sentences cursed by generations of scholars of Latin, the language which he spoke and we now study, Cicero, write, rather than by any efficiency, functionality, or ease of legibility have our words, our honors, the breaths of our hearts, be besmirched.
The fact that this has yet to devolve into boustrophedon is a miracle… or a challenge. I’m looking at you @terpsikeraunos @macdicilla @labellamordens
I’m up to it
Not many jnſtances of Punctuation - but for many Daſhes – et words Capitaliz’d for emphavſis, but not logicaly - ſpeeling and word Endings varied Gratelie - and the long S - ſ - vſed in at the ſtart and Centre of wordes - & the short “s” vſed only at the end - as with the U and V, and the I and J - but v and j only at the ſtart of wordes (we diſtinguishe not between Vouels and Conſonants, only decoratiue Letteres). Ye letter “y” being in lookes cloſe to an Olde letter “þ” which is vſed as “th” - Y may be vſed in the place of TH - but only ſparingly - and ſtill Pronounc’d the ſame as TH. Long and rambling ſentences - ſeeminglie without end - a paragraph can conſiſt of One whole ſentence, and ſhort ſentences are rare – we ſcribe like hiſtorical Modern English – and other european Languages.
And furthermore, Carthage is to be destroyed.
