I once received an email from a company, six years after I submitted a ln application, informing me that they had chosen someone else for the position.
This did not provide nearly as much closure as I might have hoped.
eat an entire can of sweetened condensed milk. you deserve it.

this is one of the most rewarding things about posting self care tips on this site. witnessing people's lives getting better in real time. this is why I post
Went to an Oedipus Rex adaption today and my friends were debating whether the Oedipus/Jocasta age gap was problematic. Like guys…I think their relationship has bigger issues
No matter which end of the political spectrum they're on, they still managed to get it totally wrong here.

i would like to remind everyone smugly using "usamerican" that you are not being woke or reclaiming anything you just don't understand how adjectives or languages work
american - national of the united states of america
north american - individual living in or a national of a country located on the continent of north america
south american - individual living in or a national of a country located on the continent of south america
canadian - definitionally, especially lately, person who does not fucking want to be called an american, because "american" in both canadian and american english has the semantic weight of "national of the united states of america"
and this is not, in fact, limited to english
amerískur - icelandic adjective for american (loanword, more on the slang side, bandarískur more often used)
ameríkani - icelandic noun describing a national of the united states of america
américain - french adjective or noun describing a national of the united states of america
you cannot brute force a sea change in multiple languages simply because you personally misunderstand the difference between etymology and semantics and also assume (in, hilariously, a very american-centric way) that the billion-plus individuals must have a closer connection to the concept of continent than they do to nationality or other regional identities. a catfish is not literally a cat. it is a completely random trick of language evolution that nationals of the united states of america are not called unitans or vespuccians. calm down and stop being irritating

do not keep putting those two unfunny autistic faggots on my dash
The most annoying soldiers in satans unholy warband are people who continue to bitch and moan about final fantasy having scifi or modernsloppa and not just being an aminu LotR aesthetic knockoff like sweetie thats dragon quest and every dq ost is coincidentally um horseshit.
Like every DQ besides 10 is fully playable in english stop bitching about final fantasy being scifi-adjacent and play dragon quest if you need robed wizards, sword and board, and woefully underwritten women because thats every game in dq's lineage
ff1: The Wind crystal is bore in a orbital space station with robots and computers everywhere and the first Superboss of ff history is a star wars mech
ff2: The Palamecian Emperor pilots what is basically a Star Destroyer to nuke several cities across the World Map
ff4: A Gundam is powered up and stars firing bombs and lasers on Ninja Kingdom. You take a star trek vessel to the moon to kill an Alien Overlord
ff5: fire crystal is kept in a steam battleship guarded by robots. Omega makes its premier in this game
ff6: the last of "classic" ff, and most technological pre-ff7. Mechs and heavy duty bots everywhere, Edgars trans-continental castle, Kefkas tower and the Gestahlian empire in general
FF7/8 are well known enough I will not list examples
ff9: the last "true" ff for diehard "purists", still full to the TITS with tech. Ark, Oelivert, the fact that Terra is a planet full of genetic mutants who are perpetually-youthful tailed people, Lindblum has trains and aircabs out the wazoo, the Invincible
ff10: spheres are basically flash drives, machina is arguably more powerful and varied than machinery in the rest of the franchise, your airship in 10-2 is colossal motorcycle, and the finsl boss is a godzilla sized warmech that rivals power of Sin and can very easily obliterate Spira should you lose in battle.
ff12: Its basically the most Star Wars ff has ever been in a franchise overflowing with starwarsery, though I suppose you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise when most of your msq is traversing forsaken jungles and delving into forbidden ruins
ff13/15: as with 7 and 8 I need list nothing
ff16: alien ruins have glyphs resembling ff13's glowstick aesthetic and Omega has an entire dlc story dedicated.
The only PURE fantasy Final Fantasy is ff3 really, nothing particularly high tech or robotic here. Even ff11 has robots and Omega.
Technically there was the Tower of Owen, and the Invincible was in perpetual motion and couldn't be landed, so there was a bit of sort-of high-tech stuff in III. Not quite the same extent as the others.
The other cherry trees are almost done blooming but now these beautiful double-flowered pink ones are open and wow! I wish they would do what I’ve seen done in Japan where they run strings of lights through the cherry trees before they bloom and then turn them on at night for people to visit and be amazed. (Look up “cherry blossom illuminations")
Word.
