every time i see those posts like ‘what food from a show did YOU always wanna try’ i go lol none? but i just remembered im a liar
i always wanted the fucking soup brock made in the pokemon anime
Hello OP, i don’t have anyway to prove this is the same recipe they make in the shows but i make this to calm my inner kid from wanting the fictional soup:
300gr bacon, beef or chicken. A meat of your choice. These go specially well. I prefer chicken tights. Diced
1 medium onion, diced.
Garlic minced (i used 2-4 pieces depending on size)
300gr carrot, cleaned, peeled and diced.
3 sticks of celery, washed and diced.
800gr potato. Washed, peeled diced in quarters.
1 head of broccoli.
8 cups of stock of your preference. I recommend using the bones of the beef or chicken, but veggies stock works too for a vegetarian or vegan version.
3 tablespoons all purpose flour.
1 cup whole milk. (Almond or rice milk work fine for a vegan option)
½ cup heavy cream. (Skip it for a vegan option)
Salt and black pepper to taste.
½ teaspoon paprika, use the spicy one to get the warmth up a notch in winter.
1 tablespoon fresh chopped coriander. Optional.
1 cup diced gouda or manchego cheese. Optional but really ties all together.
Make sure you have all your ingredients ready and at hand for this one to make sure it comes out nice and tasty!!!
In a pot put water and the bones to prepare your stock (chicken, beef, veggie) You can use premade or bouillon cubes, just make sure its 8 cups worth of broth. In a different pot boil the potatoes until soft.
In a big pot put some butter or olive oil to fry the onion, when it turns a little transparent add the garlic, move constantly.
Add the celery and diced carrots, moving constantly.
The carrot will get a little brighter in color, add the diced meat. Salt and pepper to your taste.
Meanwhile, blend the potatoes with enough stock so your blender wont have trouble blending. If you have a food processor, it’ll be easier.
Ad the remaining stock to you big pot with the veggies and meat, add the broccoli chopped in bite size pieces. Add the paprika and taste for salt and pepper. Let over a medium fire for 10 min.
Separate 3 tbsp of the stock to mix with the flour, set aside. This will be a thickening agent.
Pour the potato mix on the big pot, move to integrate and taste for salt and pepper.
Add the milk and heavy cream. Move with a laddle. Have a final taste and let over low fire for 5 min.
Serve hot and decorate with a pinch of coriander and some cubes of cheese.
ENJOY!
Notes:
I personally prefer to use chicken, love how it goes with potatoes and veggies. Also the tight is very tender and flavorful. With beef you have to be careful not to overcook it or it’ll get gummy and hard to bite, so make adjustments.
VEGAN: could also skip the meat, cheese and heavy cream for a vegan option.
I make it for my younger sister and she loves it. Instead of meat i add some diced, toasted nuts when served. Cashew, pecan and pistachios work nicely.
You’ll have to use 5 tbsp of flour to thicken up the broth a tid bit more without the heavy cream but you can still use a vegan milk.
You can totally skip the coriander, but it adds another dept of flavor.
Do try it with the cheese tho, i promise it’s GODLY. Gouda and manchego are my fave, the melt nicely and have a strong after taste, but i guess any cheese that melts could work.
Finally, if you are like me and like spicy food you can add chopped chili. Serrano and arbol chiles are my go to’s, freshly chopped sprinkled just after serving my bowl.
Hope y'all give it a try and if you have any doubts do ask!
Provecho!
this is literally the best addition i’ve ever gotten to any of my posts thank you so much
Hey I tried this recipe out and I can confirm that it tastes heavenly!!
Can confirm this soup is absolutely divine!
Substituted spinach for broccoli because my partner is not a fan of the latter and used chicken and bacon. Gonna try it again with a nice Italian sausage in place of the chicken next time.

Natural Black Hair Tutorial! Usually Black hair is excluded in the hair tutorials which I have seen so I have gone through it in depth because it’s really not enough to tell someone simply, “Black hair is really curly, draw it really curly."
The next part of Black Hair In Depth will feature styles and ideas for designing characters and I will release it around February. If you would like to see certain styles, please shoot me a message!

Fabric Choice for Cosplay panel. This is just the bare bones and the examples, since I talked about and explained things in person.
(One thing I’d like to add right here though, since I was asked about it in person — I don’t go into enough detail about the difference between dupioni and shantung. Dupioni is stiffer and more crinkly [it makes a rustling noise] as well as having a more pronounced surface texture; shantung is softer and suitable for draping [where dupioni isn’t] and has a smoother surface texture.)
Nothing in this panel is definitive, and the examples given (even of the different fabric types) are just that — examples. You will encounter many, many more types of fabric than this out in the wild, but this is meant to give you a general overview so you can hopefully find your way.
This information is for personal reference only, and not meant to be used for your own panel. You can share this/reblog this; just don’t re-present it as your own.
Here is a link to the pdf file of the presentation, in case this photoset is difficult to read. It’s slightly confusing but all I could get my computer to do, so here’s how you read it: the 4-slide pictures read left to right, top to bottom. The 2-slide pictures read top to bottom. The 4-slide pictures have to be read across first. I couldn’t get that to switch in the version of Reader I’m using, so sorry for any confusion. The pdf file should read correctly, with one slide per page.
If anyone has any questions, comments, or corrections, please let me know. :]
Okay so I get asked ALL THE TIME about fabric choices and this, THIS is the tutorial that I wished I had the level of patience to conceive. So. For everyone who asks me about fabric choices and how I pick my fabrics. This lovely person put it into words where I could not.
Holy shit
Hell yeah' more shitpost drawing studies'
I mostly to these scribbles/notes for myself, but sharing is caring and my brain simple won't acknowledge and comprehend how light works.
It's actually so simple doing shadows ( in theory ), still' i wanna rip and tear at my hair whenever i actaully have draw dynamic ones.
Question: how do you do the glint/enchantment shine on stuff (like the swords)? It looks very pretty
im gonna assume you already know how to draw swords/metal so it's just the enchantment thing. hope this helps :']
I am so serious when I say if you want to learn about light, you NEED to at least look at modeseven’s tutorials. even if you’re not pursuing a painterly style, this is all essential theory that can be easily adapted to different coloring styles. notice how none of these ever say ‘light with these colors and shade with these colors’? notice how this is teaching how light works on a mechanical level, and reminding the audience to adjust the actual colors they choose by context? THAT is good advice.
(if you’re thinking ‘wow I want to study more of this persons art!’ I encourage you to do so, but proceed with the knowledge that modeseven draws pretty much exclusively weird as hell kink art. sometimes wisdom comes from horny places)
How are the prints of your art so freaking beautiful? I have three of your 24x36 prints and they're the best looking pieces in my whole collection and I wish I could get my art (digital) to look half as good in a large print but I just can't figure it out. Is there some special trick to it or just your own brand of magic? Love you and your work <33
Oh thank you! I do have some tips!
If you're looking to get the crispness at scale, I think the most important factor is the size of your art. I work on big canvases, at least 8000px on the shortest side. This requires a computer that is haunted by a powerful ghost, but painting at that scale results in a finished file that you can print at large sizes (posters, wall tapestries, etc) and it'll look fantastic. As a rule of thumb, figure out the largest dimensions you want to print at before you start painting, and set up your canvas to that size at 300dpi.
Be ready to make levels/curves adjustments to your artwork to compensate for differences between how your piece displays digitally and how it prints. I usually do a couple test prints and tweak the files from there. Digital art is going to print darker/less luminous than you see it on your screen, so I make my files brighter than I actually want them to be, and they darken and turn out looking right in print.
Select paper stock with your artwork in mind — matte and semi-matte papers are much preferred for darker art like mine. And possibly for all art, all the time. Brightly colored art can work on glossy paper but idk, I don't like glossy prints in general. Maybe…too shiny? Too squeaky? I feel like a bird is going to come grab it out of my hand? on reflection, this may be a personal problem
If you're making prints at home, squint suspiciously at your printer while it prints. Keep it self-conscious, keep it on its A-game. An unsupervised printer may try to pull one over on you. Don't let it happen.
I hope that's helpful somehow! a lot of it is still mysterious to me also, don't be discouraged if it takes some trial and error!
this is actually true! there have been multiple studies that show that millennials are better at identifying fraudulent links than other generations, and one theory is that rickrolling taught us to be cautious about what links we click!

The one time the internet is expected to make dicks, the internet immediately makes everything except dicks.
Don't know which gender collector needs to hear this today but you have no right to change how people perceive you or how they reference you.
That is not a right anyone has. It actually violates other people's rights to freedom of speech and to observe reality when you think you can coerce them into saying what you'd like.
In addition, my feminism is for all women & girls. You know, female humans.
So because no one has a right to change how I perceive males, despite how they wish Id perceive them, you cannot imply my feminism isn't for all women when I've already told you the functioning definition of woman when I'm talking.
Ok I'm done.
I think people have the right to like... dye their hair or not want to be called slurs by others when they're not around.
And I know you meant pronouns and gender, but its seriously normal to care and try to control the way people percieve you. I decide to not use my cane at a job interview because I want to control how a possible employer percieves me. People try to control the perceptions of others from how they speak, what they wear, with any sort of social interaction with other human beings.
Therefore, what you wrote is more funny than angering. "Oh no! A typical human behavior but with transgenders! My freedom of speech and the way I can percieve reality is being stolen from me!" God get a grip.
Well seeing as OP says no one has the right to change how someone references and perceives them as, I'm going to perceive them as an "idiot" and reference to them as "irrelevant" /shrug
i miss him (fictional character that i can rewatch or reread at any time i want)
But it's not the SAME. It's like looking at photos of a friend you don't see anymore. You see them, but you don't get to experience the moment again.
