But more focused on the irony. De-aged Danny ends up a street kid in Gotham. Decides taking and selling photos of the vigilantes is a good way to support himself. After all, a small child that can go invisible and fly ? Easy.
Basically, Baby stalker Danny.
Its Tim's turn to deal with a little gremlin photographer who won't stop following them into dangerous situations. Karma Tim, how's it feel on the other side of the fence.
Tim stared down at the small child in shock. Oh, this is how the rest felt about him. Oh. Oh no. He had to face them while telling them about this. They were going to laugh at him. He was so getting teased for this.
Tim: Kid. Please? Please stop doing this? It's dangerous! I do dangerous work!
Danny: And?! I'm 6, I'm homeless AND I'm alone! How else am I meant to make money! It's this or I pick pockets!
Tim: I get the feeling suggesting care wouldn't go down well?
Danny: In Gotham? No way! Most of em are traffic-king people! Not safe!
Tim: .... No family at all?
Danny: Nope!
Tim: I could always the you up and drop you in front of Wayne Manor. Let his heart do the talking you little shit.
Danny: Gotta catch me first!
And that was what led to Tim's current situation. Trying to sneak back into the batcave. Covered in something he dearly hopes is glue. And pigeon feather. Plus a bucket load of glitter.
The walk of shame for Tim. His siblings will never let him live it down.
Now every time Tim goes out, there’s the added stress because he knows—he knows—there’s a little kid out there following them all and Tim can’t! catch! him!
If Tim tries? He ends up covered in glitter, thrown eggs at, and one time is caught in a pillowcase like a discount ghost! All this, caused by a tiny, homeless six-year-old.
Tim is crying.
Please let him adopt you, Danny!
Be Not Afraid
Danny's forms were pretty stable in the Infinite Realms, and well, his own dimension. The problem was when he had to run certain errands elsewhere (Clockwork's fault) and the universes didn't know where to put him.
Despite having two defined forms in his original dimension. The other dimensions seemed to decide that Danny didn't need that, and his humanity had to go, or something. The halfa couldn't understand it.
So of course, he ended up looking very amorphous and strange when he traveled to other dimensions. Sometimes with multiple eyes, at other times his body was made of pieces of ice, there were times when he was just a toxic green eye that glowed and blinded whoever saw it. The only thing that remained constant was that he didn't look human. Which made most of his tasks difficult. People feared the unknown after all.
When he arrived in the DC universe he didn't expect a welcoming committee. He even told them "Be not afraid" the moment he landed on a crowded street, but apparently that was counterproductive, since they classified him as some kind of avenging angel.
With a sigh, Danny kept exploring and the strangest things happened to him: Two glowing rings chased him everywhere (One was black and the other was white, but he had a feeling that taking them wouldn't be the smartest move, the ring and the crown were very jealous since he was crowned after all)
And a British magician... flirted with him? Danny was pretty sure the hellbazer was seeing him as eyes and ice floating but that didn't seem to stop him from trying. The halfa didn't know if he was flattered or worried.
Anyway, he couldn't find Dr. Fate, nor "Justice League Dark", whatever it was. But the wizard, Constantine, was willing to take him on a date. The rings continued to follow him while some people with green rings looked in the background (they looked strangely scared) and a new religion had been created for "The Great One" which reminded him of Frostbite.
Traveling was hard.
John Constantine seeing an amorphous rippling blob of inconceivable power, indescribable size, could crush him like a soda can with half a thought: Death by snu snu. Glory, Glory what a hell of a way to die. Yeah I'd tap that. Please Daddy. "Fuck you!" "When and where?"
John*smug*: Guess who got a date with the got new eldritch god?
Diana: Really John? Really? I know you have, exotic, tastes. But really? They could crush you by breathing wrong. Does that not seem unwise?
John: Nah Danny's a real sweetheart. Absolute lovey! Very conscious of his power. Very self contained! He won't even touch the lantern rings. Doesn't want it need more power he says.
Bruce: Would you be willing to, ask him some questions?
John: Yeah yeah yeah. Oh he has no idea he's started a new religion by accident either. So uh, if we could not tell him that would be great. I think it's cute when's he's flustered. But I'm not sure the average person could survive it you know?
Diana: Do I want to know?
John: Probably not! Anyway, you lot can't see his human form. Well, humanoid anyway. I wonder if I could help him make a form he could wear to fit in. Might be an idea. Help him assimilate a bit better. Well I'll offer it!
Bruce: Goddammit John. Could you at least tell us before you do so we know?
John: Only if he says yes like. I wanna date him, not annoy him. You guys can't tell but he's far more powerful than Darkseid even. Thankfully he's a sweetheart.
Bruce: I am not sure I trust your definition of the word.
John: Hey now, I mean that genuinely! Just cause I want someone to Fuck me doesn't mean I think they are nice when they aint! I'm capable of reason!
Diana: Ok boys, enough. Hi have fun in your date. Maybe tell him the Justice League would like to know why he's here?
John: Yeah I can do that. Well I've gotta get ready to woo a God. Bye!
They agree to meet up after Constantine figures out how to disguise Danny and John Constantine decides to play a song to flirt with Danny. “This is a classic old song; it played a key element in the courtship of many couples I know so I thought you might enjoy it. Dance?” He gestured on the floor just as Low by Flo Rida started blasting in the bar. Danny cackled a bit while dancing singing about “apple bottom jeans and the boots with the fur.”
And suddenly? Constantine was glad he’d figured out how to cast an illusion to make Danny look human. Now he was the only one who got to see exactly how adorable he really was as he bounced around happily.
Next time any hero sees Danny with Constantine? They see a mid 20s something twunk, not an eldritch creature and are so confused. John? Are you already moving on from the last one?
Danny just turns off the speel/amulet/whatever to show his true form, and then puts it back on. Like nah! John just have me something so I can make people not scared! Like my human disguise? It's pretty close to his I looked when I was just a human you know?
That was it! Danny officially hated CPS! They were so annoying. How did they even keep finding him?! Hes in the rural area of Tennessee and they keep catching up to him. They had kept pace with him through the past three states (was this really cps?) and kept spouting nonsense about his powers being dangerous and needing to be taught how to use them before he hurts himself or others. Jokes on them, Dannys already dead!
Luckly they only seem to be able to track Phantom and not Fenton but after his spooky self got shot by one of these creeps he ducked into a free health clinic for teens and kids. The only problem is that he has to put down a valid Emergency contact. His parents and friends won't work since they don't exist in this dimension and he didn't know anyone else.
So he put down the name of a random Wayne family member because they are confirmed to be real and he doubted any of them would come if called.
He was wrong.
The only real question is which one did he put down
He put down Damian having seen his name one time on a magazine in passing.
Damian believes that this is his kid from the future who time traveled to the past and is taking his role as parent very seriously.
If Damian’s thinking time travel, what if Danny accidentally says the batcode for time travel in their first meeting?
Damian (and whoever would want to come with him) show up and have a conversation with Danny. They’re still in the building. There’s civilians around and something about what Danny is saying makes them think he’s speaking in code. So they stop paying attention to the literal meaning of Danny’s words.
And then, bam! A code—said in a roundabout way to still make sense with the conversation—and Damian (plus batfam later) think time travel.
And of course, if this is Damian’s future kid, Damian has a lot of questions. Is Danny already Robin? How is his training coming along? Did Danny time travel on purpose? Is there some future, world-ending issue that requires sending someone back???
Mr. Lancer, after witnesses the GIW start to devolve into committing literal war crimes, decides to kidnap his students to seek shelter in a different city.
He's not an idiot; he knows all of his students fall under the anti-ecto acts. He knows that the GIW have just been watching.
He knows that they're done waiting.
So he arranges a field trip, gets the class to Metropolis, and on the ferry ride over to Gotham?
He commandeers the ship.
He can't trust the American government, he knows that.
But there's another government fairly close by; one who's literal leader absolutely would not hesitate to jump in if he heard that children were being kidnapped and civilians were in danger.
He's taking the kids into Aquaman's waters, and hopefully the King of the Seas will be willing to grant Asylum.

At first I was convinced this was gonna be a No Man’s Land AU where a group of like 20 random midwestern teenagers just show up in isolated Gotham via diverted ferry because No Government, and start kicking ass because “city trashed, cut off, and full of baddies” is so old hat to them by now. They literally have school drills to deal with situations like this. By the time the U.S. government decides they might want the city back they’re just like “no thanks, we’re good”.
So I ugly laughed when I read where this was actually going because like. Can you IMAGINE these kids hitting Atlantis? The depths of the ocean are definitely SO haunted. There are SO many shipwrecks down there and I have to think those generate more ghosts per capita than deaths that got actual proper burials and such. These kids have ALSO done the whole “fight a ghost pirate ship” thing before and you can absolutely bet at least some of them are gonna decide to do it again. At least half of them probably have an aptitude for magic due to sheer exposure and will insist on learning. You cannot tell me Danny the space nerd doesn’t LOVE the depths, either. He def sneaks around and disappears sometimes. Arthur is willing but by the gods this man had no idea what he was signing up for.
If Phantom doesn't have to breathe, he can just swim/fly underwater like he would in the Ghost Zone. He could visit so many ship ruins!
Would he even be affected by the pressure exerted by the depths?

Third of all, background notes on this AU:
Danny, Tucker, and Sam are together and married. Living the domestic, gothic, poly married life of their dreams in Gotham.
They're about in their late 30s to early 40s. To REALLY get that scrunkly, himbo Danny vibes.
They have perhaps recently moved to Gotham. Initially the moved to Metropolis because Tucker got a job there, but unfortunately, there was an incident while he worked under Luthor soooo...
Sam loves Gotham much more anyways! Nothing to worry about, and Wayne industries offered to quadruple Tucker's pay even though Gotham has a lower cost of living. Everyone wins!
So obviously they're your perfectly normal poly couple moving in, hoping to lay low after crossing a supervillain. Not! Immediately they begin hatching a plan involving the GCPD. To reduce corruption, but mostly? Just to fuck with them.
Danny will apply to the recently opened (*cough*) position of Detective. Together, with someone on the inside and someone on the outside, they will out the corruption within the GCPD. In the most humiliating way possible. ACAB, bitch.
But of course, Danny being Danny, he gets really into the role of detective.

The Flash Family, know sceptics. Men and women of SCIENCE(~✨️!). Just?? Casually rolling up one day to work like "oh BTW, ghosts are a thing. Very cool."

I love the idea that Flash's answer to how they got him to believe in ghosts was just "they explained it like they were talking about a real thing." Well, that and observable evidence; that's also important.
I also like this idea of applying the academic responsibilities associated with science to magic. Misinformation is dangerous. Ignorance is dangerous. You can't let people who are clearly wrong be the only voice in the conversation.
How many kids at sleepovers have been hurt because they somehow got hold of an actual ritual of some sort and their parents didn't know to check if the silly party game could actually summon something or have the resources to do so? How many crisis-level magical problems could have been avoided simply by people knowing the risks and appropriate safety precautions?
I've thought for a long time that it was weird to have a schism between science heroes and magic heroes in a universe where magic exists. I'd often thought it was weird for science-minded people to deny an observable set of phenomena and brush off the people whose field of study it was. It never occurred to me before that the magic experts weren't doing their due diligence.
Where are the peer-reviewed papers on the mechanics of spell-casting?
Where are the carefully detailed records of repeatable tests showing that the group of bean plants with a growth rune etched into the pot clearly grow faster than the control group with no growth rune and otherwise identical conditions?
Why do the magic users insist on saying "just take my word for it" and not elaborating?
No wonder the Flash wasn't taking these people seriously, they sound like con-artists!
Sure, there was plenty the kid who explained ghosts to him didn't know, but he acknowledged that it was because there was a lot of discoveries yet to be made instead of saying some nonsense about unknowable secrets of the universe.
Of course, if you decide to be mysterious about things, people won't know how much you know!

It’s one of the things that made me love the movie Shazam. The villain used a social science method (collecting testimonies, making reconstructions, finding video proof of the phenomenon) to deduce a rule of magic and other elements (the x 3 + the appearance of the runes)
If the public had been informed that magic existed, they would have taken the memories of the encounter more seriously and someone could have informed the Justice League that it was shady and potentially dangerous research.
I agree that magic should not be in everyone's hands, but there is a difference between reminding that a circle of invocation =/= circle of protection =/= circle of imprisonment / immobilization etc and giving the rules concrete construction to summon a demon
Danny is going to drag Sam and Tucker in on this. Sam has studied magic. And Tucker knows some from his past life. And you know, you KNOW they would be down to study it properly. Tucker with his gorilla code that's as much magic as code. Sam and her gifted plant magic. Danny with all his Ecto science knowledge. They are here, they are queer, and they study magic with no fear!
The trio get paid internships with the JL/JLD where they are there to help do studies, write papers, help (SAFELY) with experiments/tests under the guidance of an adult that can help or get help, and generally add their own experiences and observations of the supernatural.
Internships because they are underage still, but the Flash family are very insistent on the importance of this job. And it's not like Batman will disagree. While the Justice League might be wary of encouraging teenagers to be part in "experiments," the Flash fam and many other experts that are no doubt in the JL's paychecks can point out that there are plenty of roles that aren't dangerous. Like taking notes or helping write the actual papers.
And it's not like there isn't magic warding/protection magic that can fortify a room so there could be experiments inside, even more "innocent" ones like the one about plant growth.
And on that note: testing protective magics. Like "this one is best against explosives" and "the other one is better to place on buildings rather than humans" etc etc. and ranking them based on how good they are at protecting vs how long it takes to set up vs how many people need to be involved TO set it up.
The JLD being dragged kicking and screaming to write it all down legibly and in a way that makes sense. And if they try to pull the hand wavey "just trust me"? Danny, Sam, and Tucker are there to pip up about what they've seen in the past or in translating the bullshit.
And also? It turns out Batman has a lot of instances of the JLD doing magic on camera, so even some spells that are dangerous to reproduce "for science" can have material to observe.
This (new?) branch of the JLD gets a lot of funding toward improving cameras.
I cannot stress this enough, write it poorly. Write the shittiest draft you possibly can, stick 'ah fuck something happens here and now they're fighting' to get over
Write the worst fucking version you possibly can and stick it in a folder and forget it for a month or two before you look at it again. You know what you have now?
A first draft. And with enough time to think some new thoughts about it, you'll soon end up with a better, second draft! And eventually, you'll end up with something you'd be perfectly okay with letting other people read!
You'll never believe this process works no matter how many times you do it, but it totally does. You just have to drag your brain kicking and screaming to that blank page and get the bones down first.
Write the shit out of that shit.
Prompt idea: Danny and Dani are legally adopted by John Constantine. The problem? Danny is the unknown biological kid of other hero.
Constantine can be like the black sheep in hero community, nobody likes to work with him (Except the magic users of course) and hates his guts.
The biological parent hero is butthurt
Main issue is that Jon Constantine isn't that good of a parent. Sure, he's trying his best, but that genuinely isn't much. Still Danny just sticks with Jon no matter what.
Danny's parent just can't wrap their head around why Danny chose a really drunk uncle figure over them. At the end of the day it's because Danny has more of an emotional connection with Jon but his parent just doesn't understand.

ok... after reading a fic about Danny being married to Damien. What if Danny was secretly married to John Constantine? for some reason someone summon Danny, but when our ghost boy see his husband there, he's like: :D beloved!!

Danny Fenton is married to John. John can detect magical beings and there is no way that Danny doesn’t give off any of those vibes. The explanation of ectocontamination keeps John sated and doesn’t try to dig further.
When he sees his husband standing in front of him in full Ghost King regalia, we’ll they have some deep trust and relationship discussions after this… Wait. does that mean that he’s also king?! Yea. They’re gonna have a talk later, but for now they need the Ghost King’s assistance.
(If John can show off his husband in the process of getting the Ghost King’s aid, well then that’s just perfect)

I have the dumbest idea. Fully grown up adult Danny ends up having a fling with Constantine when he comes through Amity to study ghosts. It's kinda hot and heavy, but also casual. John leaves and goes on.
A year later something happens where something he's hunting has severely pissed off the Ghost King. At first, John's like "oh shit, Pariah Dark is awake?" And only finds out when this tall, buff stud shows up that King Pariah Dark is out, King Phantom is in, and also, the new King finds John as hot as John finds him.
A year after that, John gets called to a JL HQ to greet a new hero who's joining the Justice League because he also does paranormal stuff and Supes wants all the magic heroes to meet or something. So he shows up and there's Danny Fenton, being all tall broad shoulders and goofy smiles. John doesn't even question why he's there. He does sneak off with Danny to make out in a coat closet until Batman finds them.
Danny's super sheepish and John kinda feels bad enough to not make smartass comments as they walk back to the group. He stands out with the others while Supes makes the introduction. John's suddenly wondering *why* Danny is there and *where* the new guy is.
Then this happens.
Superman: I'm honored to introduce the Justice League's newest member, Phantom.
Danny transforms into Phantom, who doesn't have the glowing crown, and who doesn't glow so much, but he doesn have those sexy sharp teeth, and is clearly King Phantom.
John Constantine, realizing what's happened: oh, fuck me!
Danny, with that big shit eating grin of his: I'm pretty sure I've already done that about a dozen times, love. But I wouldn't mind another go.
John might love him a little bit.
Ok but I love this so much.
Danny just flirting with John and John retorting/flirting back. John absolutely has a thing for people far stronger and more powerful than him. Cue a moment where John is watching Danny from afar just annihilating these insanely powerful foes like they’re nothing and remembering exactly why they had a fling in the first place.
Also ghost booze 1000% exists and it absolutely messes up people in some way, shape, or form past the point of drunk. John is fucking delighted to know someone who will let him get some undead liquor and not sell a literal arm and a leg for it.
Sure, it may get a bit awkward around Zatana (let’s simply say that they’ve moved on from each other), but honestly she isn’t miffed at all. She thinks it’s fucking halarious to find someone who can push Constantine’s buttons so well also be Constantine’s… Friend? Ex? FWB? Boyfriend? Whatever this guy is, he’s a little shit who’s far too smooth for his own good.
Danny is a menace and we all know it. John's kind of the first time Danny's ever had such a low stress relationship. John Constantine basically only expects heartbreak and disappointment, so Danny being nice and loving and reliable is weird af for John (and base line for Danny to provide). But also, adult!Danny has taken after his father in height and is unbelievably powerful. So yes, Danny will drop kick a powerful demon after John's ass (and then go after John's ass himself, in the fun way.) And yes, sometimes Danny will negotiate as the King of the Infinite Realms on John's behalf, when John rarely asks for help.
John is constantly in and out of trouble, but so is Danny, or he would be if we wasn't so damn powerful. He used to be. He gets it. He gets not wanting to be a burden. He gets not wanting to ask for help. But also, like, John's spells and bullshit have a tendency to backfire and hit everyone too close to John's radius. And Danny shrugs that shit off pretty easy.
And because they're in a not-exactly-dating situation, any missed dates or anniversaries (are they even counting them?) is nbd. But cool when things go remembered. For Danny, John is not stressful at all. He's used to his friends nearly getting themselves killed or injured. And he's got king shit to do. John's barely a blip. So yeah, John Constantine is easy for Danny, which is a damn breath of fresh air. And boy oh boy does it worry John when he realizes that *he* is the least complicated part of Danny's life. I feel like that sends John straight in to mother hen mode, which Danny finds endearing (since it's new and doesn't take the same form of over worry Jazz or Sam or Tuck do).
The Justice League is varying degrees of appalled, happy for them, and sighing with sappiness over these two fools. Bets are going around all the time, even after the time Danny and John rig a "break up" in order make a killing in the betting pool. Also, the make up sex was A+. They consider breaking up every Friday from then on.
I also just imagine John getting older and realizing that Danny isn't quite aging the same way and he starts to get kinda insecure about it until Danny notices and offers him a tea made from a GZ flower that's found only in Clockworks part of the Zone, it'll slow down John's aging a little as long as he drinks it but there isn't any pressure on him to use it.
Not to mention that Danny has an open offer to insure that John becomes a ghost and to protect him from demons that have claim on his soul cause Ghost King kinda beats puny demons just by a hair. John says he'll think about it, not too sure that he WANTS to continue existing post death or that he really deserves to not be tortured for the rest of time.
On a completely different topic;
John ends up hooking up with another one of his exes and is kinda worried that Danny would be mad or jealous but Danny's like 'Hey if you need some different ass every once in awhile, who am I to judge?' The two of them just kinda have this open and continual relationship where they know that they can count on the other but if one or both of them want to spend some time with someone else, they're not gonna be upset or get jealous. Sure, they kinda get possessive every now and then, but that usually only pops up in a life or death (ha) situation.
Around the same time Jason died, a new hero started showing up. Bruce tries to think rationally but he can't. The boy has black hair and blue eyes. He's around the same age as Jason and even is just as reckless. Could his son really be back?
Danny found himself in not just another dimension, but a crime ridden city. So he did what he did best, he helped out. Evidently that was the wrong thing to do because he finds himself being pursued by a man claiming he's his son. Danny tries to explain to the hero that he isn't but unfortunately he's too blinded by his grief. Desperate, the boy reveals his half ghost status... only for that to further cement in the man's mind that he's his dead son given new life.
(Oh this would be so fun...)
It makes things worse when Danny 'meets' Joker. Bruce is panicking and worriying himself to death. Had a near full blown panic attack at seeing his (not) son near the person who killed him.
He can't lose him.
He can't.
He can't fail him.
Not again.

Bruce was near useless as he let his emotions drive him, something he trained himself to never do.
Nightwings words doesn't go through him anymore.
He doesn't know what he expected to see when he arrived in the scene (but he feared a lot—) but a familliar looking kid beating up the Joker with a crowbar was not it.
His chest tightened with emotions he cannot bare to face even now. He had his suspicions about a black haired blue eyed boy haunting the streets of crime alley trying his hand in vigilante justice with a hard punch in the face . He tried not to have his hopes up because he knows as batman that Jason's death is a very decisive thing.
Being blown up to bits tends to do that.
But as a grieving father...

Then again...
The crowbar is a very decisive thing too.
Imagine later, once Jason comes back from the dead and they find out that the Red Hood is Jason.
Bruce- Wait. Jason is the Red Hood? Then who are you? You're not Jason?
Danny- I've been telling you that the ENTIRE time, dude.
Jason- I can't believe Bruce replaced me with some random kid off the street and even forced him to go by my name.
Imagine if Jason spent all that time in the League with the pit madness and then he goes to beat up not only Tim for being the new Robin but Danny for being "Jason"- then Danny sees him and is like "Oof, your ecto is nasty. Want some help with that?" And doesn't wait for an answer. Danny just phases his hand into Jason's chest and forces some fresh ecto in and the nasty stuff out.
Jason is now very uncomfortable and confused.
Bruce, meanwhile, is still reeling over the fact that he has two Jasons now.
Did, did Talia not tell Jason about Danny? Does the League even know about Danny? Who the hell missed an entire child the Detective seems obsessed with? Somebody is losing their head!
But wait. Imagine the first time Batman comes across Danny, the boy is helping some poor guy with a flat tire.
Danny (not knowing who Batman is, but seeing the guy being intimidated by Batman's presence) decides to try to distract Batman by having he hero focus his attention on Danny. So Danny just. Throws the wrench in his hand. At Batman.
Cue Batman getting an immediate flashback of how he met Jason, and it's how Batman initially comes to the conclusion that this is Jason.
I just thought of a funny DpxDC prompt.
Danny was at a convention in Gotham. He was also getting some unfavorable attention from someone that mistook him for a Wayne and get them to leave him alone when he spots Bruce Wayne. He immediately goes up to Bruce and goes “There you are dad! This guy won’t stop following!”
Bruce, barely paying attention, on cloud nine because one of his kids needs help, just helps Danny and threatens the other person to take them to court for stalking his son or something.
Danny says his thanks and leaves.
Bruce doesn’t realize Danny wasn’t one of his kids until later.
Bruce: wait, which one of you needed help??
Bat kids: ??? none of us??
Bruce, questioning everything: I think someone has tampered with our memories, we must be missing someone, he must have been kidnapped
Batfam: that’s plausible.

Danny: So yeah i just walked up to bruce and called him dad and he went along with it and even threatened the creep!
Sam: Fine, fine, maybe he’s not as bad as we thought.
Tucker: Wow, admitting defeat?
Sam: I still stand by what I said, billionaires are sketchy douches. He apparently just has limits.

You know the funny thing is, given Danny’s experiences (especially with Desire) that scenario isn’t exactly implausible to him.
So in other words Danny might outwardly deny that he is their brother, but internally he is questioning his own reality. As time goes by he might even gaslight himself into believing it.
Meanwhile Clockwork is watching with a bucket of popcorn.
Jazz: Look he can't be your brother, because he's my brother, and I distinctly remember my mother being pregnant with him, so your adoption/clone theory is off the table. The batfam: OH NO!! WE FORGOT YOU TOO! WE'RE SO SORRY BABY SIS! Jazz:...what.
Honestly, both the batfam and the Fentons have such wacky lives that this is entirely in the realm of possibility for both of them. Like... time travel, dimension travel, you name it. And it makes perfect sense that they can easily gaslight themselves into being a family lmao
Imagine Maddie, Jack, and Bruce come together to compare notes and memories. Anything that doesn't quite line up will be scrutinized to hell and back. Anything that DOES line up will be taken in as potential evidence.
The fact that both families have experience with all kinds of supernatural entities and experiences? Both families will be wondering if those two separate experiences from each family was not in fact the combined history of their joint family in another dimension, or some such.
I bet you that Bruce will also bring up that Danny called him "dad" at the start of all this and the adults will theorize that Danny remembered something temporarily, or that Danny's ghost half has some kind of sixth sense about what "used to be."
Meanwhile, Danny will be standing off to the side like, "...I just wanted to get away from a stalker?"
I keep flip flopping between writing a DPxDC fic and drawing a DPxDC drawing... and nothing gets done!!!!!
You know how in the ghost king aus they usually say "Danny inherited the throne by Right of Conquest" despite never killing, dethroning, or even actually defeating Pariah Dark?

I love this and Danny would hate it. Probably would be his least favorite title.
Imagine if ghost earned titles are like fae names and the only reason anybody (living, at least) knows that Joker lost the title is because everyone is physically incapable of saying it in reference to him now.
This, combined with all the titles he got from Dan, means Danny keeps gaining a longer and longer list of titles. Just like he gains new powers.
And in true Danny fashion, he forgets how many he has.
