Regina-stans look away, but I still feel astonished about the fact that apparently the writers wanted us to feel sorry for Regina when Hook came back to life and arrived at the Granny's. Yes, she had lost the love of her life and it's very sad and unfair, but that moment wasn't about her. Why should've Hook stayed in hiding when he sensed the danger like the others and wanted to come and check that everyone he cared about was alright? If the people of Storybrooke - and the ones outside it as well - had to constantly treat Regina with kid gloves so that she wouldn't lash out and return to "the dark side", had she ever truly grown as a person? She herself said that her first instinct was to rip Killian's throat out. If the situation was reversed and Robin had been the one to return, such a thought would've never even crossed Emma's mind. I also find it very hypocrite that when Emma was grieving Hook's death and wanted to help, Regina told her to basically "sit that one out", because she could've not been objective because of her loss and no one bat an eye. But - of course - when Emma suggested the same to Regina after Robin's death, everyone was judging her for it. Damn double-standards.

I will never like Regina. Her "redemption" was bullshit. Like you said, her first instinct was to kill the person her supposed friend loves who just came back to life (though I like to believe that if she did that Zeus would just send him back again... 🤣)

And she just never took accountability or faced actual consequences for her actions. She just separated herself from the Evil Queen as if she was a whole other person and not just her in different outfits.

I've said it before and I'll continue to say it. Her redemption could NEVER be real until she gave back all the hearts that she still had in her vault in s6!! And honestly, that would've just been common decency. Returning the literal hearts you've stolen from people wouldn't be redemption, but it would be a step in the right direction. As long as she had those hearts, she could NEVER be redeemed. You can't claim to be a hero now when you've got a crypt full of innocent people's hearts that you took. There was so much more they needed to do if they wanted to actually redeem Regina though... Having her own up to raping Graham for like 30 years for one, and to being abusive towards Henry, taking responsibility for the way Emma grew up instead of putting the blame on Snow and Charming as if the had a choice... The hearts are just the physical proof she never changed...

I’ve been seeing more and more things about how the Merry Men were wrong for taking Roland back to the Enchanted Forest at the end of s5 without consulting Regina and I just wanna say fuck that.

Regina was NOT Roland’s mother. Regina KILLED Roland’s mother. Okay, sure, due to the time travel hijinks Zelena ended up killing her. But Regina arrested her (on bullshit charges of her being a good person helping an innocent woman…) and was going to execute her (did in the timeline before Emma and Hook time travelled). Then, Emma saved her, brought “her” back to the present in order to save her and keep the timeline intact. And Regina gets pissy at Emma for it. As if she wasn’t the one she saved her from. As if her happiness is more important than an innocent woman’s life. And she was going to kill he’d again! Regina had no right to Roland. The Merry Men were his family and had every right to take him back to his home.

Ya know what could be great? Buck keeps in touch with Theo, like he is checking in on him and stuff because this kid just lost his parents and his parents were Buck's friends and Buck does feel a sense of responsibility towards Theo due to sharing DNA. But then the 118 are pestering him on when he's going to adopt him, when he's gonna take him home. And Buck is just confused. He asks why he'd do that and their response is that he's his kid. And Buck just says "No, he's not." Because he cares about the kid, and he wants to make sure he's okay, and he'd love to stay part of his life and be there for him, but he's not his dad. He recognises that he just was going through a dependency on pain meds, his job has insane hours and no stability, and he's NOT his dad.

Idk, I just think that could be interesting. Everyone just assumes Buck is gonna be taking Theo in because he's biologically his father, but Buck recognising that that does NOT make him his dad, he is not in the right place for a kid right now and he just doesn't feel that's the right call.

She full on mentioned it in S6 too! Why did she never give them back to the people she took them from?! How many innocent people were walking around Storybrooke with no heart? How many of them knew they didn't have their heart? How many of them didn't know? The amount of people who were probably in fear every single day because they knew that if Regina got a little upset she might go into her heart vault and crush their heart! (It also annoys me that Rumple just had everyone's stuff and never gave it back, even during his redemptions... Though not as bad as hearts...)

Was Kali suspicious? Or was she just a traumatised kid who had just been retraumatised and lost everything? So so glad the show didn't have her betray El. I never saw her as suspicious, but I was terrified that they were gonna go in that direction with her just for shock value. I'm so glad they didn't.

I still despise the conclusion of her story though. Bringing her back just to kill her, likely to avoid having to kill their main characters, is actually disgusting. This young woman who was kidnapped as a child, had her identity stripped from her, was abused and experimented on, then she escaped, she formed her own family. Just like El did. She happily took El in when they met, helped her understand her powers, truly cares about her identity. Then she's forced to watch her new family be murdered in front of her and she's kidnapped, has her hair shaved off again (which is a huge fucking deal and breaks my heart every time I think about it, same with El in S4...) and used as a blood bank to create new kids to abuse and experiment on. And then Hopper just does not trust her in the slightest from the second they meet, he leaves her behind to just save El (he could've carried them both, he just didn't want to...) only going back for her because El is clearly distressed at her not being safe (and she would've gone back for her herself if he hadn't...) and then proceeds to sacrifice her life to protect El. And I do get it, that's his daughter. But it just all feels really gross. Sacrificing this woman of colour to keep a white character safe (only for said character to kinda maybe die later in the same episode anyway...) And then everyone just moves on. It's all just "oh, Kali died. Anyway..." until Mike's theory about her using her last moments to (again) make sure El gets out safely and gets to live her life.

Last season they could’ve still had Athena land the plane while remembering they had a pilot in the cast and used him for that. And they could still send Hen and Athena to space while also sending Karen. They won’t of course. Karen is for when Buck and Athena don’t remember how to use a memory card. 🙄

You know, I too am desperate to get to a part in the story again where Buck is no longer miserable and alone, I want him to be happy. Also there's a possibility to have some fun with an off-screen Bucktommy reunion. Secretly dating, sneaking around, comfy in their bubble while debating whether it's too soon to tell people. We could have flashbacks in a later episode like we did with Henren in "Tomorrow" (6x06).

But also we skipped over so so many of the important milestones the first time around with Bucktommy. We didn't see their first meeting. We didn't see them go from eventually agreeing on a second date to being boyfriends. We didn't see what they liked to do together (except each other) in those first six months. We didn't see Buck go through all the new firsts that come with dating a man for the first time. We got basically nothing about Tommy and his perspective at all after they listed his ten-thousand hobbies in 7x04 (which never came up again btw). We saw no interactions between Bucktommy as a couple and their MUTUAL friends which they have (except that one episode that was supposed to be about how cute Bucktommy are but then they put Eddie in every possible scene with them) - no double dates, no casual hangouts like barbecues or stuff like that.

So if they bring Tommy back as a love interest for Buck I really need the writers to do better this time around. I'm not gonna take Tommy seriously as an option for Buck to settle down with if they only give us the smallest of crumbs again. I know all the other long term love interests who became part of a couple later in the show were main characters themselves, so of course I don't expect the same level of screentime for Tommy that Maddie got when she got together with Chim or that Bathena always had. But I remember how great they did with Taylor for example even though she wasn't a first responder and she didn't have close ties to the 118. I want to actually see the Bucktommy relationship this time around and not just be told: "Oh yeah, it's been six months and they updated their relationship status to >boyfriends< at some point".

Season starts and they’re sneaking around. No one knows they’re back together (except maybe Ravi…), because Buck remembers them all stopping him from calling Tommy after they broke up and doesn’t think they’d understand. But also because they’re all still grieving Bobby and it feels wrong to be happy right now.

Then a few episodes in, everyone finds out by total accident and it freaks Buck out a bunch. They’re all supportive, no one is against it. But they’re asking all these questions. “How serious is it?” “How long?” “Are you going to move in together? Get married?” Etc. and it just freaks them both out.

Because of that they end up having a fight, and then the episode ends with one of them having an NDE. Cliffhanger.

Next episode is everyone trying to save whichever one nearly died, and throughout the episode we get the flashbacks of their relationship. Everything we missed.

The episode ends with them making up and deciding to move in together.
