Just got followed by 24 different bot accounts that looked similar to this. Don't know what that was trying to accomplish (likely just spam) but regardless, friendly reminder to block bot accounts when you see them!
How you can tell these are bots:
In a situation like this where it's a mass "attack", they typically have similar names with extra numbers or letters to make them distinct, since you can't have the same url for multiple accounts
(This seems like relatively clear info to me but I feel like it should be included)
In my case, all 24 accounts had the same string of letters and numbers with a few coherent words (red) and a random string of 2 - 3 numbers at the end (yellow)
None of them had unique profile pictures, banners, or any customization on their blogs
All of them had the likes, following, and comments tabs open, which is the default for new accounts
The one I looked at most closely did have reblogs, but it didn't appear to have any clear pattern or distinction that would possibly give some hint at interests
(In other words, the reblogs looked entirely random with no signs of human intent behind any of it)
They all followed me either in quick succession or all at once (most likely all at once). I couldn't find exact timestamps and I was asleep when it happened, unfortunately
None of them interacted with my blog in any way before following (please note that some bots may like your posts)

checked the timestamps for the email notifs I got, it was in quick succession between 3 - 6 am in ~10 - 20 min intervals. also got followed by two more of them after I posted this, and when I looked at their blogs, they'd both reblogged the same two posts as the first one I looked at :/
