My first post for Victor (@prednisonehateaccount) hasn’t gotten traction so I thought I would make a new one with his latest update.
Victor is an unhoused disabled trans person escaping abuse from family and an institution, and he needs help!
The rest of his update:
“I use a power chair. I need to live in an accessible building, likely built after 1990, which is more $$. I also need to live along good bus routes and/or relatively close to school. Generally, I see sublets for those buildings go for $1800-$2000, and I need to pay a deposit.
Due to a health emergency I had to travel back to new york early. It was 100% the right call and it’s saving my life, but due to my power chair and the fact that none of my friends live in accessible apartments I have been hemorrhaging money staying at a hotel.
I was able to outrun the costs for a while, but I’m currently $1k in debt. While fundraising for me to have a place to live, we need to outrun those hotel costs of an average of $250 a night as well.
I need the stability of housing for both my health and for school. I have been so grateful for the help of each and every one of you. It’s been a long journey and we’re almost there. It’s the home stretch!!”
