If you ever wonder why I repeatedly stress that the modern American left is nothing but an anti-voting fandom and everything they do comes back to justifying why they won’t do the bare minimum of civic duty of voting for liberals against the far-right, this is why. It doesn’t matter how many people Republicans kill, it doesn’t matter that we’re still deep in Trump 2.0, their priority is drafting posts about why their uwu morally pure little ass won’t vote. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if your position is “I’m willing to do anything to support my cause, even if it’s killing people or being killed, because it’s for a noble cause” but refuse to vote, you aren’t actually willing to do anything to support your cause. you’re the conservative guy who fantasizes about being the victim of a crime so that he has an excuse to murder someone without consequences.
frankly, as a Minnesotan, I reserve the right to reach out and shake anyone who expresses those views to me until their teeth rattle. You vote as a matter of harm reduction or you sign on for the harm you cause with the worse option, and I am fresh out of patience for people being cavalier with other people's harm.

Work with what we ACTUALLY have. This is not a perfect world and demanding that it is before we improve things is HOW PEOPLE GET KILLED.
I do not consent to die for anyone else's ethics. I am not part of your team. I don't want to die for your moral satisfaction. And if you're so intent on sticking perfectly to your ethics no matter what, consider how ethical it is to knowingly make people into unwilling martyrs.
