I have a "theory"

This was a while back, but do you guys remember "that mf back there is not real!" I have a theory. So we all know that angels, for a lot of the beginning of welcome to nightvale are "nonexistent" and its illegal to acknowledge them, right? My theory is that the guy that really angry lady was yelling at was an angel. She was then, obviously, a dear citizen of Nightvale, still stuck in her ways, and therefore refusing to say that he exists. In fact, her anger makes complete sense! If you were chatting to a person who tells you theyre an angel and you knew it was illegal for angels to exist (similar to mountains), then you'd surely be filled with righteous rage. Ive solved the mystery i want my prize please/j :]

Soooooo this may be a SPOILER for people who havent finished tma, just putting that out there as a warning bc I hate being spoiled

You know how jon says that they him and (martin) probably wouldn't be together in other universes without the fears and their experiences tying them together?

So despite the fact that nobody likes thinking about this, i was because I (re)listened to the episode and I had no choice. Its the fears and the bad things they go through forcing them together. Which means, if they had chosen to send off the fears to other universes, theres a chance that the amount of Martin's an Jon's who ended up together would increase. Maybe they wouldn't even have their tragic ending. Perhaps they would go live in the mountains together.

To be clear I still think jon chose the right path in sacrificing himself even though its devastating and I cant listen to mag200 without almost crying. More Jmart (probably) doesnt justify putting hundreds of other worlds at risk
