book prompt I thought of

character A is a cocky teen runaway and seasoned thief, character B is a older women who works as a doctor and beloved by everyone in the town. One day, character A gets severely injured and ends up behind character B’s clinic. When character B finds character A, A expects them to turn them in, and is very surprised when character B takes them in and treats them without question. Character A, not used to being shown basic kindness, instantly latches onto character B and eventually starts living with them. Later character B would realize that character A is far to depend on them and try to push character A to live without relying on character B more. When character A hears this, they instantly assumes the worse and break down, begging character B not to kick them out.

the DuskCove districts!

I realize I didn’t explain the districts to much in my last post- so I’ll do it here instead!

the districts were created by the city 30(ish) years ago, when there was a lot of conflict between the races(basically civil war if it all happened in new York). Eventually, the city made the districts to calm everyone down, and it did work. only people of certain races are allowed in certain districts, people called enforcers have to guard their assigned district to make sure no one of a different race gets in and that no crime happens under their watch. There’s a different team of enforcers for each district.

it’s important to note that purple(the crime district) legally isn’t a district. Technically it’s apart of orange, but so much crime and poverty happens in the purple area that most consider it its own district and the enforcers for the orange district have given up on keeping that area safe.

It’s common for people to commit what’s called race fraud to get into purple, which is where you get a fake id to fake what race you are. Race fraud is EXTREMELY illegal and can get you in huge trouble if you get caught with a fake id.

I had the idea to bring this world to my friends, and now we are working on creating ourselves if we actually lived in this world! My character is a lunar month insectoid named Ghost, who lives in the green district(suspiciously close to the border to purple).
