Mr Grace and his little ducklings
So we all agree that "Amy" is just Dennis's codeword for his hot older boyfriend?
Although, someone should have told them that a "secret" relationship normally takes place behind closed doors xD
I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately, for personal and universal reasons. So I decided to once again use my free will to paint dogs âš
I bumped into the IG account of @zebbythegolden and I couldn't resist his charm!

when i was 15, i felt like⊠really deeply DEEPLY uncomfortable with the fact that there were cameras everywhere at my highschool. the sensation of not being able to walk to class without being monitored somehow really fucked with me for some reason.
this only worsened after seeing this segment on the school news that featured various stupid stuff caught on the hallway cameras, like people falling down or readjusting their underwear when they thought the hallways were empty.Â
but they werent. there was someone watching, and they forgot to police their behavior and ended up getting embarrassed for it. everyone laughed at this segment. i remember the classroom being filled with snickers as someone fell flat on their face. i wasnât a âsuperwokeâ kid or anything, but i didnt think this was funny. i thought it was scary. what if that was me? what if i got caught fixing a wedgie on camera without even knowing it?Â
i remember these cameras being used for everything â spotting dress code violations, catching students skipping class, etc. you can argue that they shouldnt have broken the rules, sure, but that doesnt excuse the concept of Being Constantly Watched.Â
and what about the times when they werenât doing something wrong? like when they were walking back from the bathroom or tripping over their own feet? did that warrant embarrassment and shame from their watchful spectators? does existing in a school hallway warrant surveillance?Â
this brings me to the concept of anti-shooter architecture. there is a rising interest in school layouts that prepare for the possibility of a shooter roaming the halls. these improvements include bulletproof glass, concrete cover, andâŠ. something scary.Â
many of these highschool floor plans include some type of circular or central âwatch towerâ feature, and the designers actively boast about it being a panopticon. a panopticon. the same thing they use in prisons to enforce the idea that the prisoners are always being watched, though they can never really know when.Â
what kind of effect will âanti-shooter architectureâ have on kidâs minds? the constant threat of violence is already taking its toll on teenagers who have undergone active shooter drills, and this concept of air-tight security (clear backpacks, metal detectors, camera surveillance, constantly locked doors, etc) is not really an environment you would want to raise a child in, so why are we sticking kids in schools like that for 7-8 hours a day?
which leads into the next thing. many peopleâs solution to this is more guns, which equates to police presence in schools. ive already seen videos coming out of school cops beating black kids and ordering muslim girls to take off their hijabs. but beyond the racism and xenophobia, itâs another (now living) reminder of the unsafe environment these kids find themselves in. another reminder that theyre being watched and their behavior is being judged according to the law, or whatever the cop or teachers find inappropriate. that standing up for themselves or arguing can be taken as hostile and warrant physical intervention.Â
police presence on campus grounds is DIRECTLY used to suppress student activism. you know that.i know that. we know that. you remember that photo of the cop spraying a line of peaceful protesters? you remember that cop that tackled a student for holding a sign? you remember the fucking car fuls of kids that were arrested for protesting?Â
police are our enemy, but they can be found in plenty of highschools and colleges now. even in elementary schools, where young children are being taught to obey and trust cops. the conditioning is being started young, and if you donât conform to it, you become a watched enemy on your own campus.Â
what kind of affect will this militarization and surveillance in schools and campuses have on future generations? itâs impossible to deny that environment has an effect on development, so what kind of behavior are we encouraging when we educate children & young adults in schools that not only prepare them for violence, but instill them with the idea that they are constantly being watched, monitored, and judged? that they could be victims of gun violence at any time, or that protests are an excuse for police brutality?Â
Since joining Tumblr, Iâve met a lot of young queer people. Look, Iâm a bisexual man in a gay relationship, and Iâm approaching 30. I was still a kid when Matthew Shepardâs story was being covered on the news. I remember thinking, âI better keep my mouth shut about these feelings Iâm having.â
And then I met Dominic when I was 12, and people could see how in love we were. And we got the shit beat out of us. The year I met him, some kids in the grade above me held me down against the bleachers in our gym and stomped on my hand until my fingers broke. Instead of sending me to the nurse, the teacher sent me to the assistant principal to explain the situation. She asked why the kids had beat me up. I said, âThey were calling me gay.â
Her response was, âWell, are you?â
My, âI donât know,â earned a call to my parents, and I was outed. Efforts were made to keep me from seeing Dom. Throughout high school, Domâs stepmother intensified these efforts. He slept in the basement of the house. Although he was an incredibly talented student, he was prohibited from participating in any extracurriculars. He suffered a lot of physical abuse during those years.
The day he turned 18, he packed up everything he had and walked to my house, and weâve lived together ever since. Things are better, but theyâre not perfect. Iâve had trucks pull up next to me at stoplights and, seeing the pride sticker on my car, through old drinks and garbage into my window. I no longer speak to my dadâs side of the family. I havenât been to see them for Christmas or Thanksgiving in years. One of my uncles had cornered me at Thanksgiving when I was 17 and said, âIâm not going to judge you, but Iâd be happy to break your neck so God can do the judging a little sooner.â
I joined a support group for trans and intersex people. When I joined, 40 people attended regularly. Within the year, the group was half the size it had been. Some couldnât make it anymore, because they were staying at the shelter, where their stay hinged on them agreeing to instead to attend homophobic sermons. Some were put in correctional therapy. Five of them died. Three of those, I didnât know, but I knew Alex, the 19 year old who was fag-dragged in Kentucky and died a day later in the hospital, and I knew Stephanie, who went home to Alabama to care for her mom in hospice and was beaten to death with a baseball bat by her momâs boyfriend.
Tumblr is not reality. The dynamic here does not reflect the dynamic out there. Hereâs the part where I finally make a point, and it might be extremely unpopular - but guys, value your allies. Value each other. We are met with enough hate in our daily lives to enter an online safe-space and meet more hate from our own, over petty things. Donât go after one another over every little thing you find problematic.
Learn to see nuance. Maybe the word âqueerâ bothers you, and you see a gay man using it as an umbrella term. Maybe someone called a trans man a trans woman because theyâre confused about terminology, but the post where they did it was voicing support for the trans community. Maybe someone is just asking a question, wanting to learn more. Stop. Attacking. These. People.
Allies are being driven away. Members of our own community are being ostracized. Others are feeling nervous and estranged, and itâs largely because of places like Tumblr, where the social justice movement is quickly becoming violent and radical. I am begging you, stop nitpicking âproblematicâ things and start directing your efforts to create real change. When it comes to comes to your allies, forget the âsocial justice warriorâ mentality and put down your torch. Educate calmly. Be respectful. Be understanding. Be forgiving. And Iâm certainly not saying that your anger doesnât have a good place - when you are met with bigots on the street, congress members who want to pass hateful laws, violent protesters, abusive parents, prejudiced teachers, that is when you need to be a warrior. Thatâs when it counts. In the real world. When you have the opportunity to protect people from real harm. Attacking your would-be allies via anonymous asks is just going to lose us ground in the long run. And we donât have time for that, not when trans women of color are being murdered every day, not when states are still fighting against marriage equality, not when there are politicians in office who believe that trans people are possessed by demons, not when weâve just lost 50 brothers and sisters to one gunman, not when the media wonât even admit that the attack was homophobic.
Please step back. Look at the big picture. Look at where we are, globally. Donât just log on to your safe space and attack your allies over small missteps. Thatâs like washing the dishes in a house thatâs on fire, kids. Letâs fight on the battlefield, and when we come home to each other, letâs just focus on bandaging up our wounds so we can go out and win the war.
Signal boost to this unbelievably important message.
Iâd reblog this a thousand times if I could.
Stop attacking allies. Educate. Not hate.Â
This is incredibly important. Please read!
Educate calmly. Be respectful. Be understanding. Be forgiving.
Gonna Reblog this every time
non autistic people shut the fuck up about elon musk he doesnt deserve to be defended and i hope he dies
like as an autistic person i literally promise you there is countless ways to support us without licking the heels of the literal richest man on the planet who uses child labour and exploits millions of people
also ''aspergers'' isnt real and that hasnt been an official diagnosis for over a decade now and it was only called that in the first place because of a neo nazi eugenicist who sent autistic children to their deaths unless he deemed them ''smart enough'' to get the 'aspergers' label. also "high functioning" and "low functioning" autism isnt real. you are literally just autistic or you are not
non autistic people reblog this actually especially if you think even for a moment about defending the epic racist child labour billionaire lol
PSA - PLEASE READ AND SPREAD HE WORD!!!
IF YOU SEE THIS PLANT AT ALL, DO NOT TOUCH IT!!!
Giant hogweed (Heracleum mantegazzianum) is an invasive herb in the carrot family which was originally brought to North America from Asia and has since become established in the New England, Mid-Atlantic, and Northwest regions of the United States. Giant hogweed grows along streams and rivers and in fields, forests, yards and roadsides, and a giant hogweed plant can reach 14 feet or more in height with compound leaves up to 5 feet in width.
Giant Hogweed sap contains toxic chemicals known as Furanocoumarins. When these chemicals come into contact with the skin and are exposed to sunlight, they cause a condition called Phytophotodermatitis, a reddening of the skin often followed by severe blistering and burns. These injuries can last for several months, and even after they have subsided the affected areas of skin can remain sensitive to light for years. Furanocoumarins are also carcinogenic and teratogenic, meaning they can cause cancer and birth defects. The sap can also cause temporary (or even permanent) blindness if introduced into the eyes.
If someone comes into physical contact with Giant Hogweed, the following steps should be taken:
Wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and COLD water as soon as possible.
Keep the exposed area away from sunlight for 48 hours.
If Hogweed sap gets into the eyes, rinse them with water and wear sunglasses.
See a doctor if any sign of reaction sets in.
If a reaction occurs, the early application of topical steroids may lessen the severity of the reaction and ease the discomfort. The affected area of skin may remain sensitive to sunlight for a few years, so applying sun block and keeping the affected area shielded from the sun whenever possible are sensible precautions PLEASE, DO NOT JUST READ AND SCROLL! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT AND POTENTIALLY LIFE-SAVING INFORMATION!!!
Extra note: if you live in Oregon, New Jersey, Michigan or New York and see one of these, call your stateâs department of agriculture to report it, and trained professionals will come kill it before it can produce seeds and spread.
Frankly, if you see one in general, probably call your DOA and see if thereâs a program in place.
Do not burn it, because the smoke will give you the same reaction.
If for some ungodly reason there isnât a professional who can handle it for you (and please, please use a professional), the DOA of New York has [this guide] for how to deal with it yourself.
OH MY FUCK I HAVE THESE IN MY BACKYARD.
Fucking invasives. Signal boost.
Re-reblogging because I checked Snopes, and not only is this shit true, but the text on this is pretty much the same as it is there! Stay safe, kiddos.
According to the US Department of Agriculture, these are currently the states and provinces in North America where Giant Hogweed is present. Even if your state/province is âclearâ that doesnât mean that it is not there. If you see Giant Hogweed in your yard or anywhere please call your DOA! This stuff is mad deadly!
Also here is a human for size reference. Since they are huge it should be easy enough to see and spot when fully grown.
The burns can also be very bad, far worse than any poison ivy. Just Google âGiant Hogweed Burnsâ and youâll see. It can cause bad blistering, red painful rashes, and more. Please be careful of this plant!
They exist in Austria and Germany too. Please be careful!
Also, if you are in the Iowa/Minnesota area (maybe farther, I donât exactly know), there is a close relative (also invasive) with yellow flowers called wild parsnip.
Flowers (source):
Leaves (source):
It only gets to about half the size of giant hogweed but has all the same toxic effects. The plants in the pictures look small but Iâve seen ones at least 6 feet tall with stems two inches thick.
A lot of pictures available of giant hogweed are fullsized and in bloom. Just because it lacks the flowers doesnât mean itâs not hogweed! It is dangerous well before that point.
As seen above, another important detail when identifying them can be the stems. They often have this reddish speckling, and are covered in bristly hairs. Like the rest of the plant, you should absolutely not touch them either.
You can see here how the redness is mostly on larger, older portions of the stems.
For those of you in Ontario, here is a link to some more information via Ontarioâs Invading Species Awareness Program . It has details on the plantâs growth, removal methods, and groups you can report sightings to.
Unfortunately I lack information on herbicide use, but if the responsibility of removing giant hogweed somehow falls to the owner, please research local laws/restrictions concerning the use of things such as glyphosate (roundup). It is always possible to make things worse instead of better, so exercise caution in all areas, not just the handling/disposal of the plant.
This is not bullshit. My sister works for the Cooperative Extension in New York and this is a big P.R. focus for them. They have trouble because somebody may spot some of these on a neighborâs property and call it in, but they canât get permission to go in and take it out because the neighbors think itâs âprettyâ or they ânaturalâ and want it to stay.
Hereâs another thing about it that makes it dangerous and maybe might scare some people into doing something about it: this time of year, (winter) the dried stuff is tailor-made for attracting kids: long, light, jointed. It looks like bamboo and they will use it to frame up little huts, make beaded necklaces, use as âsword.â, etc. The worst is itâs hollow which makes it perfect for BLOW GUNS.  Imagine getting that stuff on your lipsâŠ.
I work at an environmental science college and can also confirm this. Â This stuff is bad bad bad news.
To all you aspiring herbalists and just nature adventurers: please, pelase be careful
Iâve brushed up against this stuff and it fucked me up for about two months. And the scars lasted for a year and a half after that
What the FUCK!?? THESE ARE IN MY FYCKKKIGN YAAARD?!?!?! OUT BACK ?!
oH FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Tis the season for giant hogweed warnings, my friends.
Everybody please remember not to go out whacking around in the bush unless you know how to identify your local toxic plants. And please, for the love of it, wear pants! Hogweed will fuck you up, please report if you see it, but wild parsnip, poison ivy and poison oak are no fun game either.
This little quiz can show you, even poison ivy can be tricky to ID. Stay safe!
For once, I am actually happy I live in a dead desertâŠ
Reblogging since Pokemon Go is out for many of you, and if you choose to go exploring, be aware!!
Just as a heads up, while not green on the map, this has moved into Ohio. So my babies back home, be safe and be careful.
Woah, important stuff!!! Definitely looks like carrot greens, but yikesâŠ
People keep searching for ways to argue that JK Rowling has always been a horrible person deep down as a way of explaining her recent behaviour.
But hereâs the thing: thatâs probably not true at all.
Pretending it is discounts the harsher, scarier truth: that even decent, well-meaning people can be radicalised by dangerous, hateful, predatory groups, and given enough time they can become truly hideous versions of their former selves.
It can happen to me. It can happen to you. It can happen to any of us, given the right mix of circumstances. And over the past few years, weâve seen it happen to one of the most famous childrenâs authors of our age.
Nobody is immune.
So youâre saying that The Clown wasnât always⊠outright evil?
No one is born evil
WellâŠ
Good point, but prejudice is best installed at a young age. Why is why I assumed the said Clown was just evil since some early part of their life.
What Iâm saying is that JKR, like so many average people, very likely started off in a place of well-meaning ignorance. Then she started exploring new and different ideas being shared online. Some ideas resonated deeply with her experiences as an abuse survivor, so she began exploring them deeper. Then, wham, public backlash. Her trauma is triggered - but so is her curiosity. After all, if something she did or said set people off, maybe sheâs onto something. So she starts exploring more. Starts asking more questions. And when she does this in public, there is always backlash. Meanwhile, however, in private, her new friends are telling her âSee? This is proof weâre right. This is proof that the world wants us silenced, because theyâre scared of the truth, and they really hate women that much.â And what do you know, what theyâre telling her starts sounding more and more reasonable, especially since the outside world is becoming more and more hostile.
And round and round it goes, until you have a radical.
This is absolutely how radicalization works. I started out âI could never be a feminist, they hate kinkstersâ (yes, this was a massive oversimplification) and within, oh, i think two years? i was saying âwell, i donât like the overtones of âradical feministâ but whatâs so wrong with saying youâre a radical AND a feminist? we need to make sure thereâs space for traumatized women who really do legitimately hate and fear men.â When you become an extremist, you become UNRECOGNIZABLE even to YOURSELF.
#also JKR is just the most famous and most heinous case#there are MANY MANY young people being indoctrinated with the same ideals within the circles they found safety and community in#i do not care that JKR has been radicalised; i am far more worried about people not recognising the radicalising process#and how it invades queer and womenâs communties to deliberately and actively create harmful environments#as disappointing and gross as JKR is; itâs#itâs important to recognise that radical ideologies (be they alt-right racism or TERFdom) are spread (via @wondersmith-and-sonsâ)
There is also thisâŠ.revisionist tendency to say that JKR has always been a closet bigot and conservative and right-wing since she got famous, but thatâs not even entirely true. One of her first major political stirrups was criticising Tory austerity measures and David Cameron, (she also once said âpeople who send their children to boarding schools seem to feel that Iâm on their side. Iâm not.â), donating to Labour and being openly supportive of the British welfare state. She has, in at least one interview (from 2000) self-proclaimed to be left-wing. As early as 2003, she claimed that one of her biggest writing influences was a Jessica Mitford, who Rowling described as a âself-taught socialistâ.Â
This isnât to apologise for her behaviour or rehabilitate her into some former activist who is still worthy of saving; itâs to contextualise her recent descent into TERFdom compared to her previous political stances sheâs openly held. She was probably never going to be a staunch ally for equality and diversity, and yes, a lot of the HP series were very problematic in retrospect, but she could very easily have gone the other way and at the very least turned out to be less of a bigoted shitbag she is now. The fact that her politics in late 2000âČs/early 2010âČs were similar to so many people who are now activists and organisers for queer, BIPOC and vulnerable communities should tell us to be all the more careful about radfem ideology and transphobia in progressive spaces.Â
Itâs comforting to say âwe should have known in hindsight that she was always going to become a TERF, the early signs were all there!â but thatâs also not true. We have to recognise that the toxic ideology, the active harm she chooses to participate in, was a deliberate choice; this was a path she chose to go down, not one that was pre-determined for her. Itâs also an easy way to separate ourselves from being critical of radfem influence; âJKR was always a right-wing bigot and thatâs why she became indoctrinated with radfem bullshit. Iâm not a right-wing bigot, therefore unlike her, I will never fall for radfem bullshit.âÂ
People who become radicalised, including those to become radfems, were not always irredeemable right-winger proto-Conservatives doomed for extremism and hatred, and thatâs the point. The revisionist idea that she was always beyond salvaging erases how TERFs recruit people (especially vulnerable, impressionable people) in queer, progressive and liberal circles and how easily their dogwhistles can go undetected. The idea that JKR was already a closet right-winger from the get-go and therefore could never have been a good person is ultimately unhelpful because all it does it separate from the reality of how radfem doctrine spreads. TERFs sell their own toxic, harmful views packaged as progressive ideas as part of their strategy and thatâs why their ideology is dangerous and requires constant vigilance to drive out.Â
âRace and racism is a reality that so many of us grow up learning to just deal with. But if we ever hope to move past it, it canât just be on people of color to deal with it. Itâs up to all of us â Black, white, everyone â no matter how well-meaning we think we might be, to do the honest, uncomfortable work of rooting it out. It starts with self-examination and listening to those whose lives are different from our own. It ends with justice, compassion, and empathy that manifests in our lives and on our streets.â â Michelle Obama
I have been here, multiple times! By referring to the order as a âLittle Rosaâ, you donât have to make as big a deal out of the fact that youâre seeking help.
And believe it or not, it gets better. Rosaâs also gives out sweatshirts to the homeless (or sells them to the general public) that has information on local soup kitchens and even computer training in the area, on an insert sewn inside the sweatshirt.
(Details)
Reblogged again for these excellent details.
Also you can buy slices for the homeless through their online store, from anywhere, not just PA!
here is the link for anyone who wants to buy slices for the homeless
thank you for the comment about buying online! I am in canada but would love to help
PLEASE SIGNAL BOOST
every sweatshirt you buy is a sweatshirt he donates, and œ the purchase price of all other merch goes toward free slices. Iâve been there many times, including when i was homeless and didnât have anything else to eat.
Nice!
Not to get dark or anything, but 9/11 is coming up in the USA
Or, let me rephrase that: an annual day where Muslims in the USA are scared to leave their homes. If you have Muslim friends or neighbors - watch their backs. Check up on them. Without fail, every year, thereâs always an attack. Every year someone I know or someone I know by extension becomes a victim.
One year I had to go pick up my roommate from the library because she was too scared to leave. Some grown ass men had followed her there throwing rocks and yelling threats.
Another year I got a knife threat slipped into my mailbox.
Another year someone shot up the side of our mosque while we prayed for peace inside.
Check up on your neighbors and call out racist and islamophobic behavior where you see it. This year, with all the unrest and elections coming up, itâs bound to be bad and everyone I know is already on edge and taking precautions.
Stay vigilant and stay woke âïž
this is so important
to reiterate:
Check!! In!! On!! Your!! Muslim!! Friends!! And!! Neighbours!!
and yes, this is applicable everywhere, not just America. donât leave it because youâre from the UK or Canada or France or anywhere else.
Also important!!
The majority of Muslims in the USA arenât even immigrants or Pakistani, or Indonesian or anything else - the highest percentage is actually African American.
Given the political climate and recent surge in violence - protect your neighbors, and protect black Muslims especially!!!!!
thinking about how novartis is running a lottery where the prize is literally the life of babies and apparently this went unnoticed
Spinal Muscular Atrophy is a degenartive disease that affects between 4-10 children in every 100k live births. For those of you unfamiliar with epidemiology, this number might not have a lot of meaning, so suffice to say it is a rare disease, but among the rare diseases, itâs a common one. When it comes down to diseases which only affect one gene, SMA is the most common cause of infant death.Â
I wonât go too deep on how and why it happens, or all the diffferent subtypes of the disease, but what it entails is that for the severe presentation, because the baby is lacking one gene, theyâll gradually lose the strenght in their muscles. By the age of 4, most those children are dead.Â
Itâs not an easy death. The child loses the capacity to breathe and swallow by themselves because of muscle weakness. We provide support as best as we can, but thereâs not a lot we can do about something like that. And though muscle strenght is lost, cognition is unaffected, which means the baby brain is maturing as it would regularly, inside a weakening body.Â
So, itâs horrific. But because itâs a single gene causing the mess, and because science has advanced this far, scientists went âhey what if we could give the kid this gene?âÂ
And thatâs exactly what they did. Enter Novartis, pharma giant. They decided to try it out: put the gene inside an empty virus, give the virus to the kid. Did it work?
to those of you who donât speak medical: yes. yes it did. it worked really well. it worked well to a point where they ran tests with 15 kids and all 15 kids survived without need for respiratory aid, as opposed to the usual 92% death/permanent ventilation rate.Â
âWow, this is good,â said Novartis. âIâm going to put a 2.1 million dollars tag on it.â
âWhat the fuck?â said the parents, who are regular people who do not have 2.1m sitting on their banks.
âWell, you know,â said Novartis. âYou only have to take it once in a lifetime! Seems like a fair price to me. Uh, but also, do bear in mind it only works if you give it to the baby before they turn 2 years old.âÂ
but does it end there? no! although the drug was FDA approved, Novartis needs their prized treatment to get cleared on the rest of the world. people are complaining about the price tag, too. so they have an idea. a brilliant idea!Â
âWeâll get the contacts of the kids who have it around the world,â said Novartis. âAnd then weâll run a lottery! Because we are generous, weâll give away a hundred doses a year for the entire population of planet Earth! Of course, that means your country has to agree my drug is legit.âÂ
âWhat if I donât get picked,â wonder the parents of the children.
âWell, you know. You can always just raise 2.1 million dollars, but remember you have to do it before your kid turns two.â
so now i sit here seething in hatred toward big pharma, watching mothers desperately trying to raise an absurd amount of money which is even more absurd if your coin is weaker than the dollar, saddled with the weight that if they donât do it in time, theyâll have to watch their kids die
and then every once in a while one of them manages to raise the cash, and then theyâll post videos in their social media and i get to watch as the babies gradually regain strenght and starts sitting on their own, then moving their limbs, then standing up by themselves
while the other mothers share increasingly desperate videos of their kids who can no longer sit, and no longer swallow, and no longer breathe, until it all ends with a single text shared through instagram that just says âthank you all, but my child has passed, and weâll give what we managed to raise to the next one.âÂ
meanwhile novartis pats themselves on the back for their generosity of playing roulette with the lives of babies
There is an EVICTION MORATORIUM in the entire U.S. until the new year, but you MUST declare it to your landlord in order for it to be effective. Â This does not cancel your rent, but it will delay a potential eviction. Â PLEASE share this info so that those who need it, have it, bc they arenât being vocal in promoting this.

A book crystallized in the ocean
oh mood
NO NO NO.
This was not crystallized by the ocean. People. No. This is why artist credit is SO DAMN IMPORTANT THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE MISINFORMED HERE.
Alexis Arnold is an artist who creates crystallized books. Her work is amazing and beautiful, sheâs made dozens of these.
This particular one was not made by her, however, it was actually created by Catherine McEver - who was inspired to try it after seeing a show of Alexis Arnoldâs work. Itâs literally the first picture on Google image results if you search for âcrystallized booksâ and she posted about it on her blog showing other process shots as she made it.
TWO DIFFERENT WOMEN ARE BEING DEPRIVED OF CREDIT FOR THEIR CREATIVITY BECAUSE THIS FALSE INFORMATION IS BEING SPREAD. FUCK THAT.
Considering how many times Iâve seen the uncredited post on my dash Iâm finally going to reblog it, with the proper credits.
Selling these as stickers and more on my Redbubble!!
If youâre able to and youâre interested, please help support my college education! Iâm a full time 2nd year student majoring in architecture as well as working as a swim instructor 2 days a week, however because of my class schedule, I am unable to work more often.
Covid also left me out of work for 3 months, and Iâm scared I wonât be able to afford my supplies for this semester.
If you canât, thatâs totally ok. But if youâre able to and willing, please reblog, and share with your friends and people who might be interested!
Sofiali is an independent artist creating amazing designs for great products such as t-shirts, stickers, posters, and phone cases.
Please support any way you can!
