I made these as a way to compile all the geographical vocabulary that I thought was useful and interesting for writers. Some descriptors share categories, and some are simplified, but for the most part everything is in its proper place. Not all the words are as useable as others, and some might take tricky wording to pull off, but I hope these prove useful to all you writers out there!

Instead of making up shitty racist headcanons about Miles shoplifting join me in headcanoning him picking up ballet because he thought Gwen being a ballerina was super neat and it would help him in his spiderman job
Spider strength he can’t control + Lifts = Hilarity
Miles, muttering to himself: do not yeet the ballerina. do NOT yeet the ballerina
Jumps. JUMPS.
Miles frantically googling “How high can normal people jump??? How high can ballerinas jump?????? I don’t think I’m supposed to be able to jump straight up to the ceiling and also I keep getting stuck up there please help”
Once Mile’s spider sense pinged lightly about a balcony set and he told the crew master he had a bad feeling about it. The balcony collapsed later. No one was hurt, but now Miles has to go over sets and pronounce them clear of ‘bad feelings’
He’s not even good enough to be in shows yet, but nothing goes out without his seal of approval
honestly I have known so many stage managers and props department people who are Exactly This Superstitious. (And hell, in this case they’re not even wrong he literally has magic danger powers)
I’ve also known a few dancers, and without exception the reaction to finding out this boy can effortlessly hold them in a single arm lift or YEET them dozens of feet in the air (And catch them after!) would be PURE GLEE.
“Okay, Glynda, look, we all know he’s Spiderman. Kid’s terrible at hiding it. But imagine this. None of us tell him we know and none of us tell him how high ballerinas can really throw their partners. And each class we just keep on pretending like we’re impressed with how fast he’s improving but, y'know, he’s still got further to go.”
“Uhuh, yeah, I see that look in your eyes Glynda. You know exactly where I’m going with this. How high do you think Spiderman can throw you?”
“Okay, Glynda, stop giggling, the giggling is creepy. Dessie, please make her stop giggling.”
This is wonderful
One day, in the middle of ballet class, there was a robbery going on a block away, so of course Miles’ gotta rush over there to help out. He grabs his mask, but doesn’t have time to put on his whole suit because he said he was going to the bathroom and it’s be weird if he was gone for so long.
Cue Spider-Man kicking ass in pink ballet shoes and leggings.
This actually increased his popularity severely, and lots of people suddenly gained the interest in ballet; boys too, because if someone as cool as Spider-Man does it, everyone can do it.
When he’s back the instructors don’t comment on the rip in his shirt, the dirt on his shoes, or the smear of paint on his leggings. They make sure to treat the class afterwards. After all, it’s not every day that Spider-Man stops a bunch of bankrobbers and manages to do a high pirouette without crashing through the ceiling this time!
This keeps getting better!
Someone: *Attempts to comment on how weird it is that Miles can throw Glenda high enough she can touch the roof with her palm*

Rex, Fives, Echo, and Cody, Ahsoka in tow, charge out next, leaving their Jedi Generals behind because frankly, this is about the Vode. They’ve given enough to the Jedi. (Tbh, Anakin was kind of out of it and stayed on the ship to take a nap. Everybody else can handle this.) Mace and the other Jedi join the fight; they watched Palpatine go down under the mostly unarmed fists of the strange people from nowhere and they want a piece of the action this time.

You’ve worked hard, you deserve it. And, if you understand why you wrote your story, and understand how your story is supposed to be enjoyed, maybe that editing will get a little easier.

here’s the plot bunny that just jumped out at me:
-Cody is a purge trooper, serving under Darth Vader
-Vader somehow gets ahold of baby Luke, and assigns Cody to Luke personally, with orders to protect Luke at any cost.
-Cody is a good soldier
-Cody follows orders
-Cody decides that Luke’s current situation is, in fact, not safe. Partially because the Emperor clearly intends to train Luke as an apprentice and Cody can see what that did to the last guy (there is no way Cody doesn’t know who Vader is), partially because children need things like “friends” and “positive role models” and “houseplants”, partially because of Vader himself (Cody’s like “wow this possessive obsessive murderous asshole’s gonna give this kid so many daddy issues”)
-Cody yeets himself and Luke the hell out of there
-Cody proceeds to find the safest, most supportive, most house-plant-y place he can to raise Luke, because Cody takes his orders seriously
-Cody gets really offended whenever anyone suggests that he deserted or is on the run from the Empire, because he’s a LOYAL SOLDIER who’s just FOLLOWING ORDERS
-When Luke joins the Rebellion, Cody does too, because he’s still gotta protect Luke
-he insists that he is still a loyal soldier of the Empire, and for all intents and purposes, he is, he’s just, on special assignment.
-When Rebellion leaders express concern about the Purge Trooper actively professing loyalty to Vader and Palpatine, Luke’s like “oh lmao don’t worry Dad’s just like that”
-Rex is so confused and pissed off
-but also happy
-Above Yavin IV, Cody manages to steal a TIE fighter and hovers aggressively behind Luke, shooting the shit out of anyone who comes near him
-Luke is on Bespin. Vader is on Bespin. Vader is dueling Luke and taunting him about the Dark Side. Vader is about to disarm (and dis-hand) Luke. Vader gets fucking tackled by a purge trooper, out of fucking nowhere. Cody just. fucking YEETS himself on top of him, punches him a couple of times, then grabs Luke and books it.
-Vader is so confused
- “was that fucking CODY”
-he thinks Cody’s betrayed him
-he starts trying all the old secret communication channels that imperial spec ops has
-he gets ahold of Cody
-Cody is more than happy to give him a mission update, and is confused and offended when Vader accuses him of treason
- “I’m following orders sir you said to protect him and that’s what I’m doing”
- “you STOLE my SON”
- “I removed him from an unsafe situation and cut contact with individuals likely to have a negative impact on his emotional wellbeing”
- Vader has zero chance of winning this argument, Cody has an entire library of parenting books and child psych texts to throw at him
-anyway fast-forwarding to the Battle of Endor
-Luke and Vader face off again with Palpatine being an evil cackling shit in the background
-Luke has decided that since Cody is “dad” Vader can be “father”
-Luke getting zapped by Palpatine, “Father please, help me”
-Vader having an existential crisis
-out of fucking nowhere, Cody just full-body tackles Palpatine and yeets him into the reactor shaft
-Vader: “…I was gonna do that”
-Cody: “glad to hear it, sir. Keep it up and I might consider weekend visitation rights”
-also it is very important to me that Cody has been wearing his Purge Trooper armor this entire time. The whole 18 years or so of raising Luke on the run, Cody got up every morning and put on his Purge Trooper armor, because he is an on-duty soldier of the Empire and just because he’s on special assignment doesn’t mean he’s gonna skip out on his uniform

i LOVE THE NEW ART and also i feel it is very important to add:
-Cody’s black armor is not Vader’s fault. It’s Cody’s. The Empire was majorly shaking up the army’s aesthetic and Cody is always a man On Top of fashion trends, and he saw Vader’s armor and went “pffft i could wear that better”
-when Vader said “protect Luke at any cost” Cody interpreted that literally and persuaded Vader to set up an untraceable bank account with a truly absurd amount of money in it. After Cody absconds with Luke Vader can see money coming out of the account but he has no way to figure out what Cody’s buying or where he’s buying it and it pisses him off so much
-Obi-Wan is still alive in this timeline. he’s been trying to track Luke down but because Cody is Very Good at his Job he doesn’t find him until after Endor
-actually i think it would be very funny if Obi-Wan showed up literally right after Endor, while they’re all having their celebration. Vader is there. Cody is hovering menacingly right behind Luke, who is trying to get his Dad and his Father to get along (Cody is confused because as far as he knows, he and his commanding officer are on perfectly cordial terms)
-Cody’s like “oh HEY obiwan” and immediately tries to kill him because technically speaking no one ever revoked order 66
-Luke still finds out that Vader is his father via Dramatic Reveal on Bespin. he’s upset that Cody didn’t tell him. Cody didn’t tell him because clones don’t have fathers so it literally never occurred to him that it might be relevant
-Cody absolutely follows Luke to Jedi Swamp Camp on Dagobah.
-Of course, he immediately tries to kill Yoda. Luke’s entire jedi training takes place on the move, as he and Yoda are fleeing through the swamp while being stalked by an Imperial Purge Trooper
-Luke still texts w/ his dad every night tho, to let him know he’s okay and having fun at Jedi Swamp Camp
-Cody’s like “okay honey don’t forget to eat ur snacks also you should be more careful about breaking vegetation i know exactly which direction you’re heading XOXO”
-Han Solo legitimately bails on the Rebellion because Cody gave him the Galaxy’s Most Intimidating Shovel Talk
-it only lasted about 5 minutes tho because Cody hauled him back because Luke would be sad if he left
-Luke finds out Leia is his sister. Cody finds out he has another kid to take care of. (Cody is fully capable of interpreting “protect my son” as “protect my offspring of indeterminate gender” because clones only ever had a vague understanding of gender anyway)
-Luke doesn’t inherit his father’s lightsaber from Obi-Wan. Instead, Cody hands him a lightsaber that he just happened to have lying around and told him “this belonged to some dipshit who couldn’t stop dropping it. I’ve added a wrist strap for you.”
-in this au, Luke’s fighting style involves a lot more bodily contact, because of reasons
-Leia asks Cody about her biological parents, since Cody knew them before the empire
-Cody: “your father was a dramatic idiot. Your mother was a dramatic idiot, but more compact.”
-during Luke’s childhood, Cody was absolutely that overly involved PTA parent who bullied everyone into making cookies for the school bake sale
-he was also the parent who organized playdates and volunteered to chaperone all the field trips
-Luke’s first teacher deserves a fucking medal because during the first parent-teacher conference of the year a fucking Purge Trooper shows up and sits down and starts asking questions like “is Luke getting adequate social support in your classroom” and “what changes should we make at home to support Luke’s education” with a very serious face.
-Cody has difficulty helping Luke with his homework because it’s not like they ever taught clones things like history or writing or literary analysis
-Cody is NOT afraid to request a meeting with the teacher to go over the subject material so he understands it well enough to help Luke
WAIT I JUST THOUGHT OF THIS:
-Return of the Jedi, Act 1. Scene: Sarlacc Pit. Cody’s mostly sitting back because he and Luke came up with the “backflip off a diving board over certain death while R2 yeets you your lightsaber” plan and he’s very confident in it
-however
-Boba Fett comes zooming in to do some fuck shit
-and immediately gets tackled by Cody, who just throws him over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and hauls him away going “idiot little brothers need to quit touching my shit”
-Boba is immediately overtaken by childhood instincts and goes “i am OLDER THAN YOU” before he even realizes who’s carrying him
-Cody kidnaps invites him over later so Luke can meet one of his (many, many) uncles. it is horrifically awkward.
I’m sorry everyone here’s another:
-Luke’s preschool teacher: “and uhh how old are you, Mr. Trooper?”
-Cody, an Imperial Purge Trooper, very seriously: “sixteen”
@maulusque …did nobody in the Rebellion mention that there’s a mind-control chip in Cody’s head? Because, even if Cody thinks it’s unnecessary to remove it, I don’t think Luke would stand for his dad being mind-controlled even one more day.

so yeah cody doesn’t find out about the chip until he and luke join the rebellion bc rex is like “OH SHIT it’s CODY” and “so how’d you get your chip out” and cody’s like “what chip”
and then Rex and Wolffe tackle him and haul him to the nearest medbay BUT, they discover that because of ~mysterious medical reasons~ they can’t remove Cody’s chip without killing him. because of the ANGST potential. So now Cody and Rex and Luke have to deal EMOTIONAL TURMOIL
so Cody’s wondering: “i only stole luke because i was following orders. At what point did I actually start caring about him? DID I actually start caring about him? If the chip were removed, would I still love my son?” (of course he cares about him, chip or no)
And REX is wondering “is this even really Cody? Is my big brother still alive in there? He’s changed so much but then again, so have i, how can i ever know if i’m talking to Cody, or the chip?”
and Luke never once doubts that his Dad loves him but he DOES go “huh i guess that explains a few things”
and Cody’s feeling all sorts of bad because here’s this brother who clearly loves him and missed him and Cody only has a few tangential memories of him (his memories of before the empire are very spotty), and Cody’s now worried that he doesn’t actually care about luke at all and the chip is just making him think he does, and that he’s actually incapable of caring about anyone, Rex included, and he THINKS he wants to reconnect with his little brother but WHAT IF it’s just the MIND CONTROL CHIP-
(of course, none of that is true, Cody’s just spent the last two decades ruthlessly repressing all his emotions to the point where he wouldn’t recognize a Feeling if it bit him on the ass, and right now ALL of the feelings are biting him on the ass, and he’s so confused).
anyway Rex and Cody reconnect, in the way that any siblings who’d been separated for twenty years would need to do, and Cody eventually convinces himself that whether or not it’s only because of the chip in his head, he loves Luke and that’s what’s important, and even though it never comes back fully the longer he spends around Rex and Wolffe the more he remembers about them
anyway after Endor, Vader officially revokes Order 66, which turns the chip off, and gives Cody an honorable discharge, which means that Cody is officially retired, and since he’s no longer in the army, he has no commanding officers, and thus no one is authorized to issue any orders that would re-activate the chip. Cody notices zero differences apart from the fact that if he wanted to, he could choose to NOT try and kill General Kenobi on sight. He also gets fewer headaches. (NB Cody does NOT so choose, he thinks that Kenobi needs to stay on his toes and that the occasional murder attempt is good for him).
Luke convinces Cody to return home, while Luke helps Leia and the others rebuild the Republic. Cody doesn’t want to leave Luke, but every parent has to learn to let go of their kids eventually, so after many tearful goodbyes (Cody is SO PROUD of Luke and he loves him SO MUCH), he goes back to the little planet he raised Luke on.
and he goes back (and luke wanted him to go back) because Cody has someone waiting for him there! I decided that Cody deserves a boyfriend and in defiance of every fandom trope ever, it’s not obi-wan. it’s also not another jedi, or a soldier, or a bounty hunter, or a medic, or any other character with a tragic backstory and badass abilities. Cody’s bf is literally just a regular dude, another single dad that he met when Luke befriended his daughter at school. (she’s a bit older than Luke and left for college a few years before Luke joined the rebellion)
Luke eventually semi-bullied Cody into letting them move in with them, because they were having financial issues and Cody has like, infinite money because of the funds Vader gave him. So Luke grew up with a sister and Cody spent like five whole years being essentially married to this guy but he didn’t notice because Commander “no feelings” Cody is Resolutely Ignoring his Feelings. Cody’s Regular Guy Boyfriend has spent YEARS pining but he hasn’t said anything maybe because he’s also a dumbass?
and btw Cody has zero qualms about yeeting himself into this guy’s bed and cuddling him on nights when he can’t sleep because that’s just what clones do and cody never thought to question it
so this poor guy, who has been dealing with this for years, finally snapped and kissed Cody right before he and luke had to leave and so Cody’s spent the entire rebellion just being confused about it and Luke complains to Rex and Rex and Wolffe bully Cody into having Realizations so when Cody goes back home he finally gets his shit together and kisses him back.
And so Cody begins his life as an officially retired man. he spends a lot of time volunteering with the kids program at the local library (which he funded with Vader’s money because Luke needed Adequate Educational Enrichment). Due to things like this, Cody was considered somewhat of a community pillar so when it gets out that he’s back, all the neighborhood moms start dropping off cookies and casseroles and someone organizes a neighborhood potluck as a “welcome back, Purge Trooper Cody” party.
Luke visits regularly and eventually sets up his jedi academy on the same planet, a few hours away. Rex and Wolffe move in to the mother-in-law unit out back and Wolffe takes up gardening which is very helpful for his stress levels. There’s a big family reunion at Lifeday and Cody cries because it just hits him that he has a big ol’ family and they’re all here because they love him.
Also fun fact when Luke meets Leia he comms his bff/sister at college all excited like “HEY you know that imaginary friend i made up when we were kids? well she’s REAL and she’s even a REAL PRINCESS” and Leia’s like “well i drew shitty pictures of you when i was four” and that’s how they find out that Leia is also force-sensitive and that they are probably siblings.
other fun things which definitely happen but may not fit into the final fic which i AM writing:
-Ahsoka and Sabine retrieve Ezra from wherever the fuck, and he joins Luke as an instructor at his Jedi Academy.
-Anakin goes into semi-exile, since he’s definitely committed Way To Many Crimes to ever be allowed to exist in the new republic without being super arrested. Obi-Wan goes with him, ostensibly to guard him and make sure he doesn’t decide to do a little more genocide, but mostly because Anakin is his brother. After Obi-Wan passes away, Ahsoka shows up and escorts Anakin to a dinky little planet way off in the outer rim. There’s rock huts on the island, but Anakin needs more medical support than that so they convert his ship into a suitable facility. C3PO, who volunteered to come along and take care of Master Ani, is upgraded into a state-of-the-art medical droid. Ahsoka leaves Anakin and C3PO on Ach-To, and Anakin spends his days meditating and being bullied by the frog nuns who live there. Luke and Ahsoka visit him regularly.
Eventually, an angry teenage girl shows up with a note. It says “Hi Dad, this is Rey, she’s one of my students. She isn’t fitting in so well at the academy, and she’s having a lot of trouble dealing with her anger. I figured you could help her out!” XOXOXO -Luke. P.S. She’s from Jakku, so she hates sand just like you! You’ll love her, you have so much in common!”
and Anakin really really really doesn’t want to do this but she looks so hopeful and so he resigns himself to another padawan and he tries his best to teach her to manage her anger, but it’s not like he ever really got the hang of it, so they muddle through it together, but having a teacher who truly understands what she’s struggling with is invaluable to Rey.
He also teaches her lightsaber combat, but Anakin refuses to/was banned by Cody and Obi-Wan from ever picking up a lightsaber again, so mostly he just whacks her in the shins with his cane while she furiously tries to remove his limbs. (Anakin resolutely ignores the ghostly cackles he hears whenever he whacks his student).
Back on Cody’s home planet, one dark and rainy night, a red-haired young woman dressed in a grey jumpsuit and carrying more weapons than is reasonably practical shows up and tries to kill Luke. Cody snags her and sits her down at his kitchen table and she’s like “I MUST KILL LUKE SKYWALKER” and Cody’s like “no you don’t. sit the hell down and have some hot chocolate”. So basically Cody dads Mara Jade out of the Emperor’s mind-impulse to kill his son and then is like “Luke have you met Mara Jade, she seems like a nice young lady” and Luke and Mara Jade become the galaxy’s most powerful QPR because it’s what we deserve.
also PS i do NOT have a name for Cody’s Regular Guy Boyfriend and i am OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS
The Addams Family renting out rooms in their huge mansion cheaply to broke college students.
The students digging it because the craziness and the bugs are pretty much the same as any other dorm house. Also, Morticia and Gomez treat them all like visiting cousins, not like tenants to abuse and exploit.
One of the tenants is a creative writing major and Gomez and Morticia house them up in the tower because of the quiet and the inspiring view
They’re supposed to be working on a typical coming-of-age story but after living with the Addams for just a week the project is becoming a horror-Gothic-romance
They go to their room after classes one day and find Thing correcting the grammar errors in the manuscript with a red pen
and yeah, the students pay roughly market value for their rooms, but that doesn’t stop gomez from shouting “capital idea!” and handing them wads of cash when they tell him about their weekend plans or what they’re researching, so they basically end up living there for free
In the same vein, half the them have to turn into exceptional fencers, because Gomez just doesn’t give a shit, and if he sees you in the library, its fucking Sword Fighting Time.
Fester and Pugsley find out one of the college students is trying to get into chemistry and woo boy, there has never been a faster study of how to counter various acidic chemical reactions due to “water” balloons in campus history.
Morticia and Grammy are keeping the horticulturalists on their toes with their Black Tulip/Rose hybrids, which can flick their barbs a foot away from their stem system. But it’s fine, one of the kids has managed to breed Aloe with the anti venom.
Lurch makes sandwiches for everyone who’s too much of a coward for Grammy’s cooking. Any music major will find him looming over them, utterly stone faced as they practise until they finish, when he’ll smile, and slowly applaud.
And the spookiest thing of all
Wednesday and Thing will find your thesis. They will critique it in every way imaginable.
There is no escape.
I especially love the idea of Gomez spotting a student in the library, throwing a sword at a startled student, shouting, “En garde!” and lunging at him/her with a sword of his own.
Student (later in life), when asked how she jumps from quietly doing research to handling a sudden influx of ER cases so quickly and easily, says, “When you have to snap out of deep concentration on biochem to fight for your life then get back to biochem without losing your train of thought…you learn or you die.”
This has made me laugh so hard-
And you know how chatty Gomez is when he fights, he’d probably help more students work through creative blocks via swordplay than any education counselor in a stuffy little office.
Gomez Addams as the embodiment of the Rubber Duck Method for struggling students via surprise swordplay is directly on brand.
And I firmly believe that long-term residents who finish their degrees suddenly, mysteriously, find that their student loans have been paid off. The family attends every single graduation ceremony and claps and cheers for “their” students as boisterously as any parent. They make a particular point of doing so for the ones who have no other family in attendance.

Also I wanna make a quick note about Kyubey and his granting of wishes.
I actually don’t like the idea of Kyubey pulling genie rules when granting them. The issue of the series shouldn’t be that Kyubey is this jerk who misinterprets wishes and doesn’t give you the spider-horses you rightly deserve, it’s that being a teenager is hard. Okay, well sort of.
But hear me out– Sayaka’s issue isn’t that Kyubey misinterpreted her wish. He gave her exactly what she wanted. She wished for Kyosuke’s arm to be healed, and that’s exactly what happened. In fact, when the bandages come off, the arm was perfectly healed. No scar tissue. Sayaka wasn’t ripped off here with her wish.
In Mami’s own words, a wish is a miracle. I think that aspect is really important to keep, that these wishes, these miracles, aren’t some cheap fakeout. They do the impossible. They can do something you could never do, no matter how hard you tried.
Therefor, the issue isn’t that you want something and don’t get it, it’s that you want something but it’s not what you need.
So Sayaka wished for Kyosuke’s arm to be healed, but she didn’t get his affection. That’s not a fault on Kyubey’s part. That’s because of what she wished for. She got what she wanted, but not what she needed.
And man, does that strike a chord. I think an important part of growing up is making mistakes and learning about yourself from them. Madoka’s mom had a whole bit about making mistakes in the show, and on my first watch as a younger kid I didn’t get it. But as an old fuck, I do.
Sayaka made a mistake here. In a normal world, she’d be upset over it but she’d also get over it and learn from it. This event doesn’t make her a stupid person. It makes her a person who is growing and learning. Mistakes are really important to make when you’re young, it’s how you learn what to do and what not to do.
The fact that you get what you want but not what you need is an aspect I really like, because it’s a great way of writing characters. In fact, you can open any screenwriting advice book and it will directly say to do so in the plot.
These characters get their wants and then are forced to reconcile with the fact that it isn’t what they wanted at all– they have to face an aspect of them self they didn’t know before. And sometimes that truth is ugly. Sayaka wants to be a good person and she’s righteous, honest, and kind. But secretly she wants recognition and to be praised for what she does. It’s hard work, to do good things and never be known for them. To get hurt and never comforted for it.
Does this make her a bad person? Of course not. It makes her relatable.
Being a teenager is hard. You’re at an age where you’re seen as a child and an adult. You’re getting more responsibilities but you’re held by strict rules. Your brain isn’t finished developing. I’m not saying that Kyubey isn’t an awful and misleading creature, but I think it’s more interesting if the characters have a hand in their own self-destruction.
I agree with this 100%. Iirc we never see Kyubey default to “jackass genie” rules when granting wishes. He doesn’t intentionally screw them over when he grants their wish, he gives them exactly what they asked for. It’s just that, oftentimes, the girls don’t ask for what they truly want. Aside from the Sayaka example, there’s Mami (who wished to save herself from a car accident but really wanted to keep living her normal life with her parents) and Kyoko (who wished for people to listen to her father but really wanted a stable home life where she and her family had everything they needed).
And of course, as your said, that’s completely understandable when you remember that these are teenage girls whose brains literally haven’t finished developing so they lack the ability to truly comprehend long-term consequences and they’re still working on introspection. Kyubey is awful because he takes advantage of children who are vulnerable, not because he actively tries to destroy them. He even says in the series, after Madoka accuses him of betraying the girls that contracted with him, that he didn’t betray them. Their own wishes did.
Also, I think Kyubey knows damn well that he should be as benevolent as possible with his wish-granting. It would be easy to screw the girls over by intentionally misinterpreting their wish, and that could drive them to despair and cause them to Witch out. But on the other hand, what’s more despair-inducing: getting fucked over by a malevolent being who deliberately twisted your wish, or knowing that you yourself made a huge mistake that you really regret? The former is more likely to inspire anger and spite while the latter is more likely to cause despair and remorse.

I want to read a story about a wizard whose only spell is “fix this”, but the specially-crafted magic takes their intent into account. "Fix this" can mean repairing the wheel on the adventurers’ cart or healing a broken arm or “fixing” a lock so that it’s in what the wizard considers the “correct” (unlocked) position. Imagine the other mages getting increasingly frustrated as the wizard stubbornly refuses to learn any other spells.
Wizard: *points at a canyon* Fix this
Other casters: That’s not really how spells -
Wizard: Oh look, one of our blankets is now a magic carpet. Guess we don’t need a bridge.
