A holiday that either had couples get together or got split up, but mostly got together.
Roksu just doesn’t know the appeal of having a partner, thinking about it just makes him shiver. The thought of kissing someone? Just no.
So, yes. Roksu is perfectly fine being single.
Roksu can’t help the twitch in his eyebrows at the lovebird in front of him.
As Roksu watched Soo Hyuk feeding Jung Soo his homemade meal.
‘Did they have to do this every single time?’
And they seem to be worse at Valentine’s, as Roksu cringes at the sight of the two who seem to start having a make-out session in front of him.
Don’t get him wrong, He is fine with them being together, He is even happy for them.
Roksu is just tired of being the third wheel as the couple keeps doing their public display of affection. He tried to make excuses that he is busy and that he won’t be available.
But for some reason, they are always there.
If he uses the excuse that he is sick, those two are panicking over him and is staying by his side with words saying that he must be dying because he never said if he is sick with his pain tolerance and for him to say that, or something along those lines
Which was rude. Roksu hated pain so for them to say that he has a pain tolerance is rubbish. And he is truly fine when he says that he is fine, so stop looking at me like Soo Hyuk and Jung Soo.
And now he is monologuing at his thought, He seems to be doing that lately.
A cold wet sensation is suddenly felt in his cheeks.
Roksu brings a hand to his cheeks in bewilderment before looking at the snickering duo in front of him.
“Finally, back with us again?” Soo Hyuk asks him
“What are you thinking about that you never responded to us?” Jung Soo asks in curiosity
And the two are giving him that don’t believe you look, again.
Standing up, Roksu decided to just go to the library and leave those two alone. He finished eating his lunch anyway.
“Wait, are you going to the library now?” Jung Soo shouted
Stopping at his walk he looks and stares Jung Soo in the eyes
And with that, he continued to walk in the direction of the library
“What are you two doing here?” Roksu deadpanned at the two
While smiling at him, Jung Soo cheerfully sits down beside him while Soo Hyuk is on the other side.
“Nothing,” The two of them said at the same time
Suspicious. Those two are suspicious right now.
“I don’t believe you when you say nothing but I’ll pretend I believe you. Just, don’t bother me”
Saluting at him “Yes, sir!”
“shhh, we are in the library”
These two are truly unbelievable. What is he going to do with them?
Unknown to Roksu he is already smiling and looking at the two fondly, but it didn’t escape Jung Soo and Soo Hyuk’s notice.
Looking at each other’s eyes, they can see the hope in their eyes. Hope that Roksu feels the same way.
Lee Soo Hyuk remembered that time when Jung Soo confessed to him. That he loves him and Roksu.
It gives him pause since he had so many experiences of people be they female or male confessing their love to him. He rejected them politely and gently. Some cry in front of him; some don’t accept it, and some just accept it.
But Jung Soo… He is different, for one he knows him, one of his favorite underclassmen with Roksu of course, basically one of his best friends.
And for Jung Soo to confess to him… that Jung Soo is in love with him AND Roksu, both. Soo Hyuk has mixed feelings about confusion, happiness, bewilderment, and other things that he can’t explain. Because of being completely off-guard, he responds on instinct.
He politely rejected Jung Soo.
Soo Hyuk immediately regrets this, which added to the confusion that he is already feeling.
Jung Soo just accepted it and after that started to distance himself and yet acted like that confession didn’t happen.
Soo Hyuk didn’t know but he is hurting.
He doesn’t like the way that Jung Soo is ignoring him. He doesn’t like that Jung Soo is pretending that nothing happens.
Soo Hyuk slowly realized that he is in love with Jung Soo, and when he saw Jung Soo on a blind date.
He might or might not have ruined that date, though that day ended up with a fight, shouting, yelling, tears, and them being officially together.
Soo Hyuk doesn’t mind that Jung Soo is also in love with Roksu. If anything, Soo Hyuk has also developed a feeling for Roksu.
The way Soo Hyuk falls for Roksu is something that is quite comical and is also Jung Soo’s fault.
It was actually during the foundation day. Where he visited his beloved lover and beloved Roksu in their room.
What happened is quite cliché as he saw that the two are wearing those maid outfits with Jung Soo blushing and Roksu still in his normal deadpanned face.
The two of them are in the middle of attention, even if they didn’t notice it. But Soo Hyuk notices that some are eyeing his lover and his Roksu up with lust in their eyes.
He didn’t notice it, but he already cracked the table he was holding while glaring at those people.
The others did, which is why they are inching away from him and those who are being glared upon, notice that and start to slowly leave just to get that attention away from them.
Roksu notices that their customers are slightly scared away, and he turns his attention to the one who is scaring their customers away.
With an annoyed look, he marched up to Jung Soo and dragged him to Soo Hyuk before bluntly starting to control his boyfriend. Roksu doesn’t want to lose the money that he betted from the other class. He had to prove that their class would have a better score than the other.
Jung Soo just looks amused at his lover.
His lover still can’t believe that he is calling Soo Hyuk that but he loves it so much. And he loves that Soo Hyuk is being protective of him… and Roksu
And Jung Soo can’t help but widen his smile at that. That will be great news, two of his loved ones alongside him. With the three of them being happy together. Jung Soo can’t help but be flustered and have his heart starting to beat faster from being excited.
Soo Hyuk notices that just looks confused about why his lover has these weird dreamy looks on his face.
It still looks good on him.
But after that, Jung Soo starts to tease him about Roksu. And Soo Hyuk had to agree that he falls for Roksu when both Jung Soo and himself saw someone trying to hit on oblivious Roksu, flirting with Roksu.
Both of them chase the guy away from Roksu, even if it was hilarious watching how that guy gets destroyed by Roksu’s obliviousness and with Roksu taking all the cringy and overused pick-up lines as insults.
Their favorite is probably this exchanged
“Hello, may I ask a question?”
“There is nothing that hurts”
“…When you fall from heaven, does it hurt?”
“Did you hit your head? Do I look like Lucifer to you?”
Yeah, this is still cracking them up until this day. Jung Soo had to explain to Soo Hyuk as he hadn’t seen that side of Roksu yet, but according to Jung Soo, Roksu is high on caffeine as he still hasn’t slept for a week at that time, ‘that workaholic’ which alarms Soo Hyuk.
They manage to put Roksu to sleep that night. And they talked about their obvious feelings for Roksu and started to plan on making Roksu fall for them, now that Soo Hyuk recognizes his feelings and stops being in denial.
Which brings them here in the present.
Soo Hyuk just watch Roksu as he reads, there is still something fascinating about how Roksu reads his books, with the way he flips the pages, his focused eyes, and his serious face, it’s very fascinating and Soo Hyuk won’t get tired from admiring Roksu and based on Jung Soo expressions he seems to agree.
Now that it was valentine’s day, Soo Hyuk and Jung Soo planned this day for Roksu, to seduce him. They are hopeful that Roksu will be their lover at the end of the day. And with how Roksu gives them that fond look that he never once wears in front of other people, they are so hopeful that Roksu might reciprocate their feelings.
Thus, they redoubled their efforts at their attempts.
The first attempt is during the time that they pick up Roksu, they tried to flirt and compliment him but it went over Roksu’s head.
The second attempt is during the first period, only for their plan at that time to get thrown into the garbage as the teacher of Roksu and Jung Soo announced that they will have a quiz. A quiz that Jung Soo forgot.
The third attempt is during lunch, on which maybe they might have gone overboard as they quickly fell into a make-out session, giving Roksu a show. Only for it to backfire as Roksu walk away from them to give them some privacy.
And now, it looks like they will have to go through a more hands-on approach and a library is perfect for this, especially since Roksu likes to read in the most secluded corner of the library.
They have to be fast for this or they will wait more time since they only have 30 mins left before Soo Hyuk has to go through his class.
Oh, how much Soo Hyuk hated the conflicting schedule now.
Soo Hyuk fights his smirk as he watches Jung Soo casually lean over Roksu while teasingly saying something to Roksu with his lips near Roksu’s ears, the breath that left Jung Soo’s mouth made Roksu shiver slightly.
Jung Soo looks at Soo Hyuk from the corner of his eyes when he saw Soo Hyuk’s moves. He watched as Soo Hyuk ‘accidentally’ touch Roksu’s sensitive spot and Jung Soo saw the confusion in his dear Roksu’s eyes.
Jung Soo leans away giving Soo Hyuk more access to Roksu to ‘accidentally’ touch him as he asks Roksu
“Then, the most possible solution for this one is?”
“Hmm… The most possible solution is…”
As he tried to distract Roksu from what they were doing. It wouldn’t be good if Roksu figures out what they are doing after all, and both of them knew how observant Roksu was.
Since they already scrapped most of their plans because of how awful the timings are, this time they would slowly tease Roksu, making him frustrated, and making him realize something about his feelings about them.
Choi Jung Soo is not an idiot like most would say, he knows things and he certainly knows how to get what he wants, and what he wants is for Soo Hyuk and Roksu to be his and he is patient. When he falls in love with the two, after the whole 5 stages and going into the acceptance stage, he plots to get them especially since he notices how the two are acting around him and to each other despite not noticing it themselves.
And people call him oblivious.
So, he makes a move on Soo Hyuk first since he would need to get Soo Hyuk to help Roksu. Soo Hyuk turning him down at that time is quite obvious, as he caught him off-guard. Making Soo Hyuk jealous is something that he enjoyed even if he had to go on a blind date since it makes Soo Hyuk finally make a move.
Originally, he thinks that it would take them a very long time to make Roksu fall in love with them, but the look that he gave them gives him hope. Oh, he knows that Roksu will be theirs eventually. Roksu just had to get out of the denial space that he comfortably tucked himself in.
And now it looks like they will be together
‘Roksu will be theirs soon, and no one would take him away from them’
‘I will make that happen’
‘And I will make sure that no one would steal his lovers away from him’
Jung Soo shook his head to clear his thoughts going in that direction, Roksu is here and he doesn’t want Roksu to see that side of him. Not yet.
Before Jung Soo flinched when he felt someone flick their fingers on his forehead. Looking up he saw Roksu looking at him in his usual facial expression that the others would call as cold, but Jung Soo see the hidden concern in Roksu’s eyes
“What are you thinking that you look like a squashed potato?”
Despite what Roksu says, he looks like he is checking him out if he is truly ok.
Jung Soo silently chuckled in his thoughts at the cute, adorable, and lovable tsundere in front of him
“Nothing, just thinking about how cute you are”
“What did you just say? I didn’t quite catch the last part”
Soo Hyuk who heard what he just says interjected
“Hmm… He never said anything else though”
The bell rang and Soo Hyuk just sigh tiredly at that.
“Anyways, I have got to go.”
And Soo Hyuk and Jung Soo sweat-dropped at Roksu who is now immersed in the book that he is reading.
Roksu doesn't know what is going on with the two but they are too suspicious and they are driving him crazy.
Seriously, did they believe that he would believe those ‘accidents’ when it looks like it was done on purpose? And Soo Hyuk is supposed to be in the drama club. The president even.
He doesn’t want the feeling that it evoked in him.
Every touch lingers on him.
It was making him feel something that he shouldn’t feel.
It was getting harder and harder for him to hide those feelings he had since he learned that those two are already together.
He doesn’t want to be the cause of their relationship to failure.
And he also doesn’t want the two to leave him alone.
That is why he let out a sigh of relief when Soo Hyuk left for his class. He needed to gather himself as he rubbed his forehead. He also needs the plan to counter whatever plans these two have.
“Are you feeling dizzy, Roksu-ah?”
‘And Jung Soo got influenced greatly by Soo Hyuk’ Roksu can’t help but think when he heard that nickname.
Jung Soo just looks concerned at him.
Ignoring Jung Soo, Roksu planned to confront the two in their shared house.
“What is that?” Roksu started the moment they are all in the living room
“What is what?” Jung Soo ask Roksu
“Those touches, those types of teasing. Why?”
Is this some sort of prank? If it is, it is cruel to Roksu. But then again, the two of them are not that type of people, they will never play with other people’s feelings.
And this is confusing to him.
“Roksu, we like, no… we love you,” Soo Hyuk says with no warning.
“No, this is not a prank, Roksu. We truly love you”
Roksu for the first time in his life is speechless.
‘They are serious’ That is how Roksu can describe the two as thoughts ran through his head.
Roksu’s thoughts are currently all over the place, he can’t believe that this was happening.
What should he feel? Happy? Sad? Or anything? Happy because they feel the same thing? Sad because he can feel his slacker life leaving him now? Or something since he is still unsure and is still confused about what is happening.
Roksu stays frozen from his place as the two just look towards each other, thinking if they dropped the info too soon.
It didn’t take too long before Roksu rebooted and the first thing he did is standing up
“I love the two of you too”
Before walking into the kitchen he can feel his stomach grumbling, not because he is embarrassed or anything. The redness on his cheeks is just a sunburn that he gets from walking from the school and the sun is quite hot. That’s all
Leaving Soo Hyuk and Jung Soo to unpacked at the sudden movement and info that Roksu just dropped on them.
Blinking, the words that left from Roksu’s mouth registered in their brains.
“Did that just happen? Did Roksu just-?” The both of them ask at the exact same time.
Then, finally realizing on what just happen the two of them grins and cheered
Roksu who can hear the cheers in the living room just feels his face heated up more. The sunburn is starting to annoy him.
Hearing the footsteps come and stop, he turned towards Soo Hyuk whose face is currently an inch away from his face making him go backward.
Pushing the face away, he mumbled
“Just go and check if we still had food”
Yeah, Roksu will ignore that or the feelings that he just feels
A whisper can be heard on his left ear
“Roksu we still had some food here”
Soo Hyuk said with a smile as he holds some eggs to prove his point
“Ooh~ Let me prepare the food today. We need to celebrate”
Jung Soo volunteer with a cheer on his voice
“I agree, we need to celebrate today”
Roksu just looks with fond look at the two who is now making a mess in the kitchen
He supposed valentines can be a good day too.
Before his mind catches what is wrong with what is happening in his kitchen.
Just as he thought that a fire started in his kitchen.
