Y'know this may be the first time in forever I actually reblog something and add commentary. Neither of these takes are wrong, but I think additional context should be added that the price per unit sold does have some relationship with a company's ability to keep staff employed, with respect to the running cost of the company. Less money spent to develop respective to the sale price and units sold does mean that a game can turn a profit after less units sold, which is why we're seeing these massive games with 250 million dollar budgets + 5 million units sold being considered "flops": 5 million units didn't make the money back, and thus they may genuinely not have the money to keep slogging away and burning cash at the next hellaciously over-built game that management says they have to make. Now, is it your fault they failed because you wouldn't pay $80 or $90 or whatever hellacious sum? Fuck no. This is mismanagement, feature creep, etc becoming pretty much the word of law at these AAA studios as AAA gaming decides that building the shiniest, every-pore-visible game is the only way to make sales. The solutions? Vote with your wallet. Buy the indie stuff that helps sustain small studios. Show your support to these devs. Don't buy what doesn't feel right to buy. It's probably also worth adding that of all the companies out there... nintendo's game development staff seem to actually have it decently as far as job security and executives taking pay cuts to make sure devs get paid goes, but nintendo's gonna be fine without your money. Don't EVER feel pressured to buy shit you can't afford, lol.

this is a vegetarian potato curry recipe that's about 75% spices; once you get the potatoes in there you can really do whatever you want with it

this is literally just pasta, broccoli, and cheese babey and you can live off that shit for DAYS it makes such a big portion

also you can make the flatbread yourself it's super quick!!

oh hey I'm eating this white chickpea chili right now, much like the curry it's mostly spices and you can do p much do whatever you want with it
