I am thankful for @michael__maxwell and all my friends and family. I am thankful for movies, good books, good conversation, comedy, laughter, tampons, acting, ukulele, art, painting, museums, dance, kickboxing, music...the list could go on forever. I really feel so thankful just to be alive. This time of year is always hard-three years ago was my mothers last Thanksgiving. For those of you that may have just lost someone to cancer, I am so sorry. Someone once told me that grieving takes a lot of work and it is true but, I promise the pain gets a little easier every year. And if you are caring for someone with terminal cancer, even when it is excruciatingly painful to watch the one you love going through this- being there is the best thing to can do to help and you will be happy you put them first. My heart goes out to you. This ticket was held in my hand for over five hours when I waited for my number to be called so I could vote. I snapped this photo hoping it would good to look at to remind myself that I was able to vote for a female president. Unfortunately she didn't win. Watching my mom die changed me. I have become more inclusive, sympathetic, and understanding of others. To be kind, thoughtful, considerate, vulnerable, joyful, amiable, rational, and peaceful. My family and friends are considered my most valuable investments in my life. We may not always have the same opinions on politics, human rights, climate change, racism, or sexism, but I never wish to offend or hurt anyone or discriminate. If I have said anything regarding my beliefs that offended anyone - I sensibly apologize. I can not speak for anyone but myself. I vow to be tolerant and refuse to be baited by the hate on social media and the like. I will continue to voice my thoughts and opinions and use social media the way I want to. And you can always unfollow me. However, I will not further engage in anything that does not spread a message of love. All the same I will not tolerate name calling, sexism, racism, or anything leaning toward hate crimes against freedom of speech, immigrants, LGBTQ communities, women and. Basically all the wonderful things that makes America America. Only love. Only understanding and compassion. Never hate. We are stronger together not divided.
