The problem with seeking out obscure films is that you might fall in love with a film you can't fucking FIND!! Not even for ready money!!!
this post is about Funnyman (1994)
This feels so stupid to communicate via reblog LMAOOO but do you want a link to funnyman ? The whole movie, no ad, I love searching things on the internet and I found your movie.
The only place I've found it, though it cuts off the credits and therefore the epilogue, is Youtube. I have an adblocker so youtube has no ads for me.
It's VERY hard to find hard copies of even on ebay and such. Think of it as a live-action R-rated scooby doo where the gang go up against an actual murderous supernatural entity. Also it feels like those 1970s psychadelic movies like the whole movie feels like its on drugs. Many people in the movie ARE on drugs AND I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO SO MUCH.
Killer clown is a trope I hate hate hate, because usually the people doing it are Americans, and the US has no clown tradition and has a cultural phobia of clowns so there aren't any TROPES. The clowns in killer clown movies are just murderous lamps--i.e. you could replace them with a lamp and the movie would not change. This movie actually does CLOWN shit, like he kills people in a specifically clownish silly cartoony way. He acts like the character Mr Punch/Pulcinella/Harlequin and uses UK tropes for clowns and draws on that rich history, so it WORKS. Does the movie always pull this idea off perfectly? No, but like, damn it's the only movie even TRYING to! The actor does an AMAZING job, even if the one-liner jokes in the script aren't always perfectly polished.
Edit: whoops I misread what you said there. Thought you were ASKING for a link. If you have a different link than this that includes the credits I would love to have it thank you so much!
