@metach
when a child with chronic or terminal illness or a disability/their sibling is well informed about the condition strangers love to say "no child should have to know that 😢" yeah well i think the world would be significantly better if more children knew about that actually. teach your healthy kids about illness teach your abled kids about disability Please !
and people will say this about the stupidest shit of all time. a diabetic child is like "this is my glucose monitor! these are my ketone test strips!" and people are aghast "no baby should have to know about this!!!!" okay so youd rather his mom just poked and tested him and injected insulin and collected his urine without explanation? you genuinely would prefer this child live in fear and ignorance about the daily routines of his life? because like no amount of pouty faces and prayers and condescending instagram comments are going to remove the illness from the child's life so our options are being informed about our bodies or being confused/frightened by them.
“If voting changed anything they’d make it illegal” is the whitest thing you can say btw. Suffrage for people of color and women has been a struggle since the inception of this country. Actually I think if you quote that, the ghost of Dr King should be allowed to haunt you as a poltergeist and never let you sleep,
It's also very "blue state leftist". When I lived in a red state, having to re-register to vote because you'd been somehow purged for no reason was a regular thing.
"if voting changed anything they'd make it illegal" like babes are you not paying attention, they're fuckin' *trying*
"drinking raw milk is dANgeRouS"
you do realize that's what people drank for thousands of years, right?
you do realize people are still drinking it all over the world today, right?
you do realize the land of milk and honey was the land of raw milk and raw honey, right?
you do realize that when doctors were prescribing milk cures to people with chronic illnesses, it was raw milk they were using, right?
you do realize that raw milk is actually pretty common to this day in some european countries, right?
you do realize that all the families of 12 living on farmsteads in wisconsin in 1860 were drinking raw milk, right?
you do realize that the notoriously healthy amish drink raw milk, right?
you do realize that small-time farmers who produce dairy products are drinking their milk raw even if it eventually goes off to be pasteurized, right?
YOU DO REALIZE THAT ALL BABY MAMMALS DRINK RAW MILK, RIGHT?
You do realize that the infant mortality rate pre-pasturization was 150 to 300 deaths per 1,000 live births per year, compared with 5 or 6 deaths annually today.
The objective of this review is to provide an integrated historical account of the complex, often convoluted events impacting milk hygiene a
You do realize that the reason people had 12 kids was because half of them died in childhood, and the other half weren't expected to live long lives into adulthood.
Child mortality remains one of the world’s largest problems and is a painful reminder of work yet to be done. With global data on where, whe
You do realize doctors also once prescribed mercury as a cure for syphillis and just because doctors suggested you do something in the 1800s doesn't mean you should be listening to their medical advice?
You do realize that there are no actual accredited studies saying "THE AMISH ARE MAGIC SUPERHEROES WHO SUDDENLY HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH MILK" and that when you google Amish and Raw Milk all you get is people like you praising the Amish for their magical ability to not acquire bacterial infections. But here's a study showing that despite infant mortality rate in America as a whole being closer to 5.6% - it's 9.9% in Amish communities. Meaning roughly 1/10 Amish children die before leaving infancy. And! Stillbirths are at a rate of 1 in 64/year (it's closer to 1 and 175 for the rest of America) :

They sure must be doing something right with all that raw milk.
Baby animals drink their OWN MOTHER'S MILK because their mother's body provides them with an antibodies and calories so that they can piggyback from their mother's immune system while they are still developing their own while also receiving nutrition needed for survival. If a mother has a bacterial or viral infection: they will pass that to a child. It's why pre and neo natal care is so difficult when it comes to developing new drugs and medications. If a mother contracts a bacterial infection - such as the one this mother contracted after giving her son raw milk only to get sick via exposure to her son - it can (and in this case did) kill a fetus or a breast feeding baby who has no immune system capable of managing. The toddler is still under care.
A Florida dairy farm was named in a lawsuit filed by a woman who claims she lost her unborn child after getting sick from drinking raw milk.
Just because you haven't died yet doesn't mean countless people haven't died over the course of human history as a result of acquiring a bacterial infection via raw milk.
And literally, all you're quibbling over is the fact that someone is heating up the milk just enough to kill bacteria before cooling it again. That's what you're upset about.
There's no chemical induction, there's no added unknown fomula xyz, you're upset about boiling out bacteria.
This type of discourse can and will lead to people dying because they believe raw milk is safe.
And it isn't.
Y'know like Archangels and angels are depicted holding swords and dressed in armour. That's because the Bible described them as such. And later depictions stuck depicting them with swords even if technology had advanced. But there really isn't any rule stating that if like angels come here again they'd have primitive technology and that they won't adopt any new weapons as technology advances, so now I'm imagining Archangel Gabriel with an AK-47.

Holy shit. "The demese ef the Ne'enderthels: Wes lengege a fecter?" published in the Science magazine
short but sweet
In France if you suffer from hair loss as a teenage girl and cannot afford a real hair wig the school will try and force you to go to class bald. The school will make you buy a chemotherapy turban, you will buy two different so that the school can choose which one they prefer and you will prove that they are chemotherapy turban and not hijab but once you wear it they will change their mind and say it looks too much like a hijab and insist on you going bald or buying a real hair wig that you cannot afford.
If your doctor makes multiple documents confirming that you suffer from alopecia because of stress and the medicine you have to take for your epilepsy and that wearing a bonnet or something is recommended for your mental health as you’re not ready to go out bald in high school as a teenage girl, instead of admitting they are wrong the school will accuse the doctor of lying and report him to the Ordre des Médecins (equivalent of the General Medical council). Your doctor will find himself asking you for a document stating that you are not Muslim in order to defend himself and prove that no he wasn’t colluding with you so you could wear a substitute for hijab.

In France if you are a North African nurse at a public hospital and wear a fabric surgical cap they will try to make you remove it because apparently it’s a hidden hijab. They will accuse you of going against secularism and when you’ll argue that they are discriminating you by assuming you’re Muslim for a surgical cap on your head they will change their angle and claim that you should wear nothing on your hair because you wear the same surgical cap in multiple bedroom which is unhygienic apparently (which is a bullshit argument cause you wear the same scrub/uniform in different bedrooms as well). They will go as far as claiming that disposable scrub caps (you know the thin papery ones?) are not okay to wear in a hospital even if you change it regularly. And then they will fire you for a lack of hygiene because you wear a surgical cap.

All of that will be done in the name of secularism and women’s right despite having nothing do with either quite the opposite.
The teenage girl’s story is also not just about racism and Islamophobia it’s also about ableism as the girl is convinced that the real reason the school is trying to push her out is because she had an epilepsy crisis in class and nobody knew what to do and the school nurse was absent. It could have ended badly had her best friend not known what to do to help. Apparently it was bad enough to cancel class for the rest of the day and the teacher was shocked to the point of ending on sick leave.
Cowards.
Contradiction of the previous parragraph goes on in the next one xD
We refreain to use GenAI [in concept art dev only]-> but we use it in "other departments" we leave quite vague, lalala.
As someone in and around their 30’s it has been INSANE to see feminism in popular media descend through
Women can wear pants and play sports and that’s equality. Women don’t just belong inside the house. This woman has a career
This woman can be a mechanic just like a man could. She’s probably still a lesbian, though, which is basically the closest to a man a woman can *be*, and explains everything. But she’s still a person!
If a woman superhero CHOOSES to wear stilettos to fight crime, that’s girl power! This comic character written and designed by men wears a bikini and has a waist size of 12 inches because it makes her FEEL POWERFUL! Girls don’t HAVE to dress boyish to be strong! She can make you a sandwich AND be a feminist! Girl power!
What, are you saying women HAVE to do boy things to be taken seriously? Who are you to tell a woman what to do? Maybe some women NEED to get their hair and nails done twice a month to feel powerful! Maybe a lot of women WANT to be stay-at-home moms!
What I don’t think you understand is that women have an inherent feminine spirituality which guides them towards maternal and nurturing paths. Women need to honour their divine female aura to keep their. Their fuckin. Their chakras together or some shit. You should put quartz up your hooha and huff wheatgrass. Leaving manual labour and science and technology to men is natural and good for you spiritually
Uh she can’t do that, that’s a blue job, she’s a pink job girly. Food? Yeah, she’s having #girl dinner, which is a handful of almonds. Time for our 15 step skincare routine, which is empowering. Hashtag #girlboss. Ew no, touching dirt? She’s just a girl. You can’t expect a girl to do that. Haha #girl logic
7. She’s literally on her luteal phase, which means she can’t think rationally. Girlypop is out here fighting for her life in the supermarket. She’s just a girl. You can’t expect her to use her brain today because her uterus has taken over. It’s biology.
casper darling and polygon brian david gilbert are the same man... observe...
Frankly, Dr Evil from Austin Powers was more subtle than this.
