My theory on Wave

Wave might be the same guy who betrayed Nox in the past. For one, we know there is something going on with Wave, since the last episode of the Stardust Arc, where he has some panels and seems to be manipulating Deacon with information about Buddy lying that he seemed to “find out” through slowly gaining info from the Hollow cousins. I also went through the Little Shadows Arc and found the guy who betrayed Buddy in the past, and got a color pick of his skin in different lights, the best I found in the first episode who I will dub “Evil Man” through this. I also color picked Wave’s skin in natural lighting and compared the two hex codes I got. You know what I found? They were a perfect match. Both #eccebd which, to me, feels like good proof especially since even when trying to get a perfect color match it will be slightly off, and when drawing characters, at least I, try to pick tones that are different from each other.

This was an intentional move (I think). I also tried to color pick their hair, but since the “Evil Man” doesn’t have much showing, it was hard to get an exact color. But, I also color picked from Wave’s hair when he was making an evil face at Buddy (like I’m sorry, what was that, except for proving that he’s been deceiving them; if my theory is right this would also be the second time of this) and the color at the crown of Wave’s head is strikingly similar to that of all the samples of “Evil Man”’s hair.

Me and @moonyscribe were on a call discussing this (and I was just scrolling through the chapters which we see more of “Evil Man” (these were predominantly Little Shadows IV and V) to see what else this man is doing through those episodes) and we found that “Evil Man” does state that there are wishes that the elders are choosing not to make because they are too dangerous or they “are cowards" this could mean lots of things, but I think this could mean that “Evil Man” could make a wish such as, “Take me to the future” or something.

There are some holes in this theory though, but I am too lazy to write them out right now so that’s it :)))) my entire theory is also mostly hanging on the skin color lmao

So this is very rough, and I might clean it up in the future, but I wanted this out with the new chapter, so here it is!

I really liked the lyrics to the song Chase sang in the newest non-fast pass chapter, and I really wanted to set it to a song with some 80's influence because of the sci-fi genre of the book they're in.

Also I know I'm not Chase Hollow, but hopefully this gives the vibes of almost being in his range. Either way, it was really fun to bring this song together. The night WAS made for the moon and the star :)
