Howdy friends, enemies, and my beloved mutuals 🫶
I’m Sage, they/them please; I’ve thought forever that I need a Proper Pinned Post, so, *welcome to my humble abode*
(My username has a backstory, I love muskrats as an animal and it’s related to an old inside joke from a group chat, it is NOT an endorsement of our dictator’s evil ex boyfriend)
I’m Autistic + ADHD + CPTSD, I write poetry when I have the brainpower, and I’m a triple threat of queerness (and I’m posting bout all of em)
aromantic (quoiromantic if we’re being niche)
demisexual + bi/pan (typically say bi because I think the flag colors are better)
nonbinary (agender with a bit of flux)
(With polyamory thrown in there as a bonus, for *pizazz*— more relationship Anarchy than anything else— I currently have a beloved spouse, two QueerPlatonic Partners whom I love dearly, one bestie-that-might-turn-into-A-Thing, and friends and friends and friends who don’t have different labels but they’re my world)
Fandoms I’m into that you may see content about
Dropout & Friends
Wicked (movie and book)
Musicals, generally,
Heartstopper + the Osemanverse
Agatha All Along
Phineas and Ferb
American Girl
Psych
AND MORE (I forget what else I like
(Sammy Rae & The Friends is my favorite band, seen them in concert twice, and I don’t have any tattoos but I’ve decided that if I ever do, it’ll be lyrics and art from this song specifically)
I am also a progressive Christian-agnostic (grew up strict Apostolic Pentecostal) who is quite involved at my ELCA Lutheran church (on the church board, I do puppet ministry occasionally, I preach, and I’m starting the SAM program and will likely eventually do the TEEM program/go to seminary properly). I’m a big super nerd about niche theology concepts, especially Open and Relational Process theology a la Tom Oord, so please ask me questions about that!
Also, when I say I’m a Christian, it’s really in a deconstructed quasi-agnostic way that’s much closer to humanism and much more distant from fundamentalism. I only want to talk faith with people who WANT to talk about it, and I’m certainly not wanting to try and convert anybody, I like atheists and I understand why they are atheists. I get it. Maybe I’ll be an atheist someday; I’m not certain there is a god or if they’re the way I think of them, but for right now I believe in a higher consciousness/ground of being (not omnipotent) whose primary characteristic is love/care, who animates life in all forms and is constantly working in partnership, in real time, with all of creation to create a more loving and just world.
Maybe that’s a light sauce, but it works for me. And I know there are other religions and faith traditions I could get those beliefs through, and I think they’re really cool and I want to learn more about them. And also it feels really meaningful and special to me to take something that both shaped me and harmed me, and participate with other folks on a similar journey to upcycle it into something fresh and good.
Right now I’m in a congregation that feels very vibrant and is using those theological foundations to do genuine good in the community, like be a safe haven for queer people and partner with mutual aid groups. So. This slays and I love it.
(I love being mainline now but good freskin heck the music just… feels dehydratingly bland after growing up with the bassiest most orchestral gospel music possible. The unsingable Lutheran hymns can’t hold a candle to this 😭)
There shall be memes, there shall be observances of the Tumblr Holidays
There will be 18+ content, but I try to keep overtly NSFT stuff to one of my side blogs (which goes unnamed here), but I’d appreciate if minors DNI, whatever, at your own risk buddies 😌
I tag my original posts as #Sage Says, and whenever I post outfits and fashion thoughts I tag those as #Sage Styles
Happy Tumblring!
