The average reaction time from con goers was about 30 seconds from the time they first saw my cosplay to when they figured out what I was doing. Once people saw me for the second time, they came up to me really excited because they understood the connection and they loved the idea. Through cosplay, I have learned how important positive energy can be. Make someone else smile and you’ve made both yours and their day a little brighter. Spread that light through a crowd, and you can brighten the world. Mr. Rogers was a huge part of my childhood. I looked up to him and because if him, the principle of being good to your fellow man was instilled in me. I know he had that effect on so many others as well and for that, I see him as a true hero. Aside from the obvious connection between the two sharing the same last name, I see both Captain America and Mr. Rogers as men of true virtue. Something I think everyone should strive for a little more these days. After that, it was just a matter of finding ways to relate other Avengers to characters from the neighborhood. it’s 3lbs, not 8. also it’s not really meat, it’s mostly fat with some water and salt. You have a wad of soggy bacon inside your skull. And this blob of gross unprocessed jello somehow manages to run a complex biomechanical suit using less electricity than it takes to work a lightbulb. And people wonder why humans are so fucking weird and have odd experiences that aren’t actually real. I mean, if a bowl of tapioca pudding managed to hallucinate so vividly it invented calculus, it also going “dude, i heard a weird noise and i’m 100% sure it was the ghost of the neighbor’s cat which hasn’t actually died yet” would be just as expected as anything else.

‘Temporary’ Names

Vet clinics often have litters of kittens to raise. Either they’re too young for a shelter, too sickly, or the clinic intends to adopt them out when they’re big enough. Whatever the reason, nurses often end up raising kittens and giving them ‘temporary’ names. 

The intention of these temporary names is that if you give the kitten a stupid name, you have something to call it other than ‘the middle black male’, but because it’s a stupid name you wont get emotionally attached and end up keeping it. Again. 

Which is how some nurses end up with cats that have names like ‘Flea bus’ and ‘Trash bag’.
