ShadowPeach BP AU Physical Book: An Update

Cover reveal! Still haven't started of course, but I wanted to design a cover, at least for the digital version if we don't get to do the physical one.

I also just got a blank proof book from Lulu to check the binding/sturdyness. Look at this monster! And it would be ONLY HALF of the shadowpeach/spicynoodles bio parents au!

The cover itself is nice and sturdy, the pages are a little delicate but that's mostly because of the sheer number of them. but they are nice and thick, meaning that you don't see through.

Lastly, the story on Webtoon has been updated up to part 7!

I’ll never understand why anthropomorphic animal cartoons like Robin Hood and Zootopia will go to the trouble of creating character designs that are meant to be understood as “attractive” or even “sexy” to the human audience but explicitly avoid showing interspecies romances between anthropomorphic animals. Why is THAT weird but, like, trying to make rabbits recognizably sexy-coded to humans isn’t?

Sometimes, sure, but why was Maid Marian a fox in Robin Hood? There wasn’t anything particularly “foxlike” about her personality, and it would make more sense for her to be a lion. They made her a fox only because Robin was a fox and making her something else would be “weird”, but I don’t think the wolf cop or the chicken maid or the lion prince were actually meant to represent race.

Interestingly, though The Grinch Who Stole Christmas is narrated by Boris Karloff, the big musical number is sung by the late Thurl Ravenscroft - an American voice actor better known as the voice of Tony the Tiger.

My headcanon is that the Grinch and Tony the Tiger had a bad breakup, and “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” is the resulting breakup song.

I have been wanting more people do make fanfics and fanart about movie Bowser, especially since ya just can't help but pity him a bit for his situation (even though he deserved it)

And to be honest I don't think anyone here is terribly out of character. Luigi is a sensitive soul through and through but he's right in that he would stand his ground and not apologize for his part in getting Bowser thrown in prison. Kind of in a sense of "well this is kind of awkward and I know you hate me, but I feel kinda bad for you and don't want you to be all alone" kind of way.

Heavenly War Part 1

You guys kinda get to start seeing the difference that led to Wukong ascending the throne and it all leads back to loyalty.

In the AU, the Brotherhood weren't the only ones to go to war against the Celestial Realm, I like to think that they all had large individual backing, considering they were all strong demons/celestial beings, and two of the members were recognized as Kings, they would have other smaller position members. Which also led to larger amounts of casualties. Which if you consider that not only was Macaque fighting alongside Wukong, but also his FFM Generals and soldiers, he would more likely give himself up to save their lives. At least in the AU, Macaque would be more aware of this, and way more insistent of figuring out where Wukong is than going along with what the Brotherhood thinks.
