FACT CHECK TIME
time to correct misinformation - people have been crediting this photo of the moon to the artemis ii mission. that’s not true.
from what I can tell it originated from this post- photographed on August 10th 2025 and NOT from the artemis ii mission.
i love this photo too, and i’m not saying you can’t appreciate the beauty of it, but people are claiming it’s from the artemis ii mission when it’s not and taking credit away from the original photographer.
I do love that we get to see the Schemers doing the "unglamorous" work that is required for a revolution. It can't all be marches and combat and clandestine spy missions. The people involved have day-to-day needs. They need food, shelter, health care, child care. All these things cost money, and the resistance will end up in a much more precarious position if people can't take time off work to participate. This is a big reason resistance movements fade out and die in real life.
It's all well and good to get people to pick up a sword and shield and fight for cause. But at the end of the day, you need people to make dinner and wash the dishes just as much. Community care IS resistance.

Statue of Liberty Welcoming Immigrants, New York
“The New Colossus” is a sonnet that American poet Emma Lazarus (1849–1887) wrote in 1883 to raise money for the construction of a pedestal for the Statue of Liberty. In 1903, the poem was cast onto a bronze plaque and mounted inside the pedestal’s lower level.
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. “Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
~Emma Lazarus.
Moon joy 🚀🌕
i hate it when i cant even write a poem about something because its too obvious. like in the airbnb i was at i guess it used to be a kids room cause you could see the imprint of one little glow in the dark star that had been missed and painted over in landlord white. like that's a poem already what's the point
you get it. you get the themes. i dont have time to do it justice. just look at it its on the ceiling
The Murderbot Diaries is about a lot of things but one thing it's about is realizing that you're not going to die young in a blaze of glory

i get asked regularly for photos of jpeg and it honestly feels like this every time
"I refuse to give up on you because you remind me of myself, and if I declare you a lost cause I'd have to accept that I'm one as well" unfortunately dynamic of all time to me
i love when a character has something terrible happen to them and as a result they see themself as, essentially if not literally, a ghost. and so that means they only can (and have to) do what ghosts do, ie get revenge and then cease to exist. easy as that. but then halfway through this ghost vengeance they realize hey actually i might still be a human person. with human needs. that’s incredibly inconvenient, considering how much i’ve invested in this whole ghost thing

Part 3 (Final)
The end. Thank you for reading!! Well, that’s the gist of it. Are Nathaniel and Ptolemy similar? How did Bartimaeus see them? That’s the theme. The two might have had some similarities, but fundamentally, they’re complete opposites. Even so, Bartimaeus will likely never forget either of them. Hmm, I might come back and add more later. Since I translated everything at once, there might be translation errors, less suitable translations, or spelling mistakes. If you find any mistakes or have suggestions for more appropriate translations, please let me know.
