We met Alton Brown at a show he did here - we paid the extra cash to meet him and get a blurry cellphone pic with him and have him sign a picture. He noticed my (male) companion’s pocket watch, and proceeded to order him to take it out of his pocket. It wasn’t obnoxious, it was in a Dom tone that brooked no argument. So he complied. When he found out it wasn’t wound, and so not working, he was deeply disappointed, and told him to do better next time.
If this guy isn’t a Dom, I’ll eat that spreader bar.

Void Month - June 2020
As (highly!) requested, here it is. It’s gonna’ be deep, it’s gonna’ be dark, it’s gonna’ be fantastic. Presenting for June; a month given over to our favourite twisted little psychopath; Void Month.
What does it entail?
Naturally, it’s all the finest Void!Stiles works, all for your browsing pleasure.
Write something, draw something, edit something. Whatever you do, it’ll be fantastic. Anyone who wants to is free to participate, and I highly encourage you to do so. Not only is this a great way to meet other content creators for Mitch, and expand your art base, but it’s also a great way to make friends and join the community a little if that scares you.
I’m personally committing to posting a fic a day, give or a take a few, and posting some other content too. You, of course, do not have to do this much, you can give as little or as much as you like. Don’t stress yourself, this is all about fun.
There will be a groupchat again, for both anyone who wants to keep up to date, and for all the content creators separately. I will post an updates calendar too, to guide anyone who needs help on when to post, to gain some inspiration, or simply anyone who wants to know what they can expect to see throughout the month.
When is it?

Spark!Stiles is the biggest missed plot line in this show, tbh. Remember that time that he wanted to talk to Malia and apologise, and she went to leave, and the door locked itself from the outside? And neither of them were anywhere near it? And I think stiles assumed it had been Melissa, but then once he’d said his piece and Malia had heard him out the door was just suddenly not locked any more? And I’m pretty sure Melissa was nowhere nearby? Remember that?
And when stiles and theo were on the roof of the hospital, and stiles slammed Theo back into the fencing surrounding the power grid or whatever it was? And there were sparks all over the place and it was all very dramatic? Well a) there shouldn’t have been sparks, because he slammed Theo into the fence that separates people from the electrics, so if their safety fence is sparking like that, they’ve got a serious OH&S problem, but b) when Theo spun them around a little later into the argument and he slammed stiles into the fence? No sparks. Why were there sparks when Stiles was doing the man handling, but not when stiles was the one being manhandled? Because stiles is fucking magic, ok, that’s why. He’s fucking magic, and it comes out in moments of high emotion or high stress.
In the wise words of stiles himself: “once is an incident, two’s a coincidence, three’s a pattern.” And we have four instances, my friends. At least. The “I don’t have enough mountain ash by several metres; oh wait I willed it and now it’s joined, we’re all good” moment, the “whoosh it away to break the line” moment, the “door locking itself from outside even though no one touched it” moment, and the “sparks flying all about the place even though there’s no logical reason for there to be sparks here” moment.
Conclusion? Stiles is fucking magical.
Fucking treasure trove of possibility, the spark!Stiles story line, and they just left it there to rot, unused and unexplored, and I will forever be pissed about that

I’m sorry, but this just - like, I’m kind of disappointed that people expected better from President Orange. I got a lot of shit for saying he wasn’t my president, for saying that I didn’t nor would I ever support him, and yet people are STILL astounded by how idiotic this man is.
This man who is supposed to represent America ‘The land of the free and home of the brave’, America the ‘Land of Opportunity’, where the whole ‘American Dream’ was built, has gone on live television mocking the special ed, depreciating women, showing that there are a type of people (Immigrants and aliens, illegal or not) he considers ‘less than’ the rest of the Populus, the consistent declarations of ‘fake news’ that go against his beliefs when he clearly appeals to a fraction of the people here in America that are racist, that are against the LGBTQ or against those that come here seeking an opportunity. This grown man who acts like a child and goes against what America was supposed to be, does something like this, and people are taking his actions on America as a whole.
Yes, there are a fraction of the people here that are for Trump, sure that fraction sometimes is daunting in the face of those against him, but just because he is the President doesn’t mean he has the whole of America behind him. Please realize some of us really want this fucker out of office, that some of us wish he’d experience half the moral humiliation he’s inflicted on others, that he could suffer as an underprivileged so he would know how it feels. Not all of us are for him, some of us have been against him from the beginning.

I am full on cackling because I forgot Edward had succumbed to the Spanish Flu. He looks so stressed out in this picture and I swear I can’t look at it without giggling madly. God, Tumblr is amazing.
'Mature’ rant.
So I’ve had to delete a few comments on a story of mine that depicts a fem!Stiles as too ‘mature’ for the age of 17.
Stiles, in my story, cooks her own food (and sometimes make some for others), takes care of others - emotionally, mostly - and often has a job of some sort. Now, I listened to their complaints, the way they tore it down and said that I was making her too ‘unrealistic’. I gave it serious thought - because, ya know, I could’ve made her too mature for 17, it’s not impossible.
Then I promptly decided fuck that. I wrote her as I saw many girls my age in high school who didn’t have a support system like I did. I spent the night over at a friend's house who lived with her 20-year-old sister and she did most of the cooking. I’ve seen girls who brought their own lunch from home (sometimes nice lunches and other times just a plain sandwich) because they didn’t qualify for the free school lunch.
I’ve seen teenage girls become women because of the environment they were forced into. Some knew exactly what they wanted to do when they graduated, others were filing for emancipation before they were out of school, and some were already living on their own.
SO. Moral of the story, you may think that I portray a character of my story as ‘too mature’, but I know exactly how possible it is for someone so young to have to be that mature to survive. Thank you very much.
