This was my interpretation from the beginning, that it wasn’t bigotry so much as spy craft: Castiel was such a wildcard already by the time we first meet her, and letting Dean have him seemed to her to be a pretty critical outcome to avoid.

Just like heaven was so set on not letting Jack happen: we kill what we can’t control. Or Uriel, for that matter, only killing the angels who wouldn’t join him.

Someone brings up the specifics of classic cars so Dean launches into explaining what's best for hunting, quickly devolves into which car is best to hook up in, also uncomfortable. "Dean, would you prefer they keep asking about our sex life?" "ALRIGHT FINE, CARFUCKING IT IS" Sam is absolutely not helping because for once he's hiding in a corner with a beer and no one is asking him about being Lucifer's vessel

this is a vegetarian potato curry recipe that's about 75% spices; once you get the potatoes in there you can really do whatever you want with it

this is literally just pasta, broccoli, and cheese babey and you can live off that shit for DAYS it makes such a big portion

These are my two favorite comfort foods. They're very easy to make and dont take long to cook.

Garlic butter rice

Orzo mac and cheese (comes out a little bit soupy)

this recipe for gogumabap (sweet potato and rice) saved my life when i couldn't eat hardly anything for a long time. the recipe itself calls for a heavy bottomed pot but you can absolutely use a rice cooker and put the rice and diced sweet potato in together and just let the machine do its thing

If you have a crockpot, I do a really good pulled pork carnitas that is:

Pork - any cut boneless

Onions- chopped anyway you like

Orange juice - about one cup (you can use about 2 tablespoons of the condensed frozen stuff if you have it)

Root beer, pepsi, or other cola soda - about one cup

Preferred chili mix seasoning - 1-2 packets depending on how intense you like your flavoring and how much pork you put in

Garlic - as much as you wanna, specifically smashed not cut

Canned or frozen corn - to your preference

Dump all that into your crockpot in the morning (or the night before) and let it run on low until dinner. Cook some rice if you feel like it, or just serve over tortillas.

I have switched to using Startpage.com and vastly prefer it. for one thing, instead of displaying an "AI summary" at the top of the search results (unless you turn it off, yes I know), it displays the first paragraph of the Wikipedia article, with link, whenever it finds one that's relevant.

Dean says this to a child of the original absentee father, one who had never met his Father face to face to that point (and beyond, Cas didn’t meet God!Chuck until s11). One whose fall from grace wasn’t sauntering vaguely downwards so much as he was flinging himself away from Heaven’s grasp to serve Dean.

What a complex, multilayered show that happened almost entirely by accident.
