if you want to experience life more deeply you have to find more beauty. stop training yourself to dismiss, to mock, to assume the worst all the time — when you do this you build walls between yourself and the world. and after a while you stop feeling the warmth of it entirely.

beauty requires openness. it asks you to let things reach you, to soften enough to be moved. it’s not naive to see beauty everywhere—it’s a skill, a form of intelligence, a kind of quiet bravery. because it is so much easier to critique than to create, to detach than to engage, to dismiss than to love.

let yourself be affected. let yourself find things beautiful and let that be enough. life is not asking you to be cool, sitting on the sidelines and nitpicking everything. it’s asking you to see life and experience it fully.

Supergirl (2026) is actually pretty darn good. Haters gonna hate, but don't trust the negative reviews. They're probably from a misogynistic worldview. I don't agree with 100% of the messaging (I don't think revenge against someone who repeatedly proves they will choose evil is corrupting so much as it is pruning), but the design, aliens, action, were all solid. Favorite movie? No... but so much better than the slop Marvel has been pushing out lately.

Note: there are valid criticisms of the media's depictions, at large and not just in this movie, of sexual violence implied or actual toward women, and how appropriate or not those depictions are in escapist fantasy movies. That is a discussion worth having, but not the one I am currently having.

listening to CDs in the kitchen i always brace myself for the ad between songs but then it just keeps rolling. skipping around how i like without interruption feels heavenly. we're in such a commercial angst prison that books and CDs are luxury now 😭

The writing in Bleach is so goofy. It's the same kind of goofiness as One Piece where it's like kids telling stories around a fire, taking turns adding on saying, "And then..." followed by the wildest nonsense superceding whatever wild nonsense had just happened previously, except Bleach was done by edge lords who were obsessed with looking and sounding cool whereas One Piece is joyful and is cool because it appreciates how cool and amazing a lot of different and even stupid things are... Bleach is cool, but it's mad pretentious.

I saw this when running newpipe. But wait, it gets deeper. I clicked on the details buttons and it said as of today, we have 83 days left until Google rolls out this new requirement for apps inside and outside of the google play store. If any developer disagrees with their new terms and fees, they will be blocked!

I'll share some of the info below:

Looks like they're trying to nuke the remaining privacy and freedoms we have left on the internet.

What to do?

-Get your developer friends to not comply to their new guides

- Sign the open letter on the site and take action by checking out the full resources list on their website as well!

To summarize, this is all daunting especially when you feel all alone with unfair and inhumane regulations comming out faster than improvements but we got this working together!
