This is how I imagine their dynamic, very bro-mantic
ok so Langdon is Garcia's ride or die bestie (sibling) and vice versa. they went to med school and residency together and they actually hated each other at first because they were both competing for the top spot but then just became competitive best friends who dunk on each other all the time and motivate each other to do better. and Garcia knows about Langdon's chronic back pain, but his addiction totally comes out of left field for her (because sometimes we are just blind to our bestie's flaws). her respect for him, being busy with residency, and his ability to mask his issues with a joke or two made it pretty easy to deny any suspicions even when they did come up. so she is genuinely pissed off when it turns out Santos was right about him because - that's my fucking brother, what do you mean he was diverting drugs and I had no idea, fuck you for suggesting that and now fuck him for not telling me anything when I could have helped him. anyway she's so pissed off and sad about the whole situation she just needs to compartmentalize it to focus on work and avoids contacting him. but one day she spontaneously makes the trip to visit him in rehab without warning and he actually cries when he sees her. and goddamn it if she doesn't want to cry too so she makes fun of him for crying because her default is to deflect emotional subject matter at all costs. but she does awkwardly hug him (she is also weird about physical contact unless it's in the context of a relationship with a woman and even then, I mean she is your standard allergic-to-emotional-vulnerability surgeon what do you expect). she makes him tell her every single detail including how he, Abby and the kids are actually coping. and she makes it very clear he is never allowed to lie to her about shit like this again because she thought they were friends, and assures him that if anyone talks shit at work about him she will shut them down immediately and welcome him back with open arms (but like, not literally because she doesn't really want to do that again lol ew). she doesn't visit him again but she does call at least once a week. so when Langdon says nobody reached out, Garcia doesn't count because a) she's not ER staff and b) that's his sister like of course she's going to reach out but family doesn't count.

currently thinking about how cute/fun a holiday bbq would be with Frank.
Frank, a little easier today, having a couple beers.
Frank, his eyes following your every move.
Frank, making your plate for you, remembering exactly how you like your burger or dog.
Frank, sitting you on his knee when there’s no extra chairs.
Frank, his hand on your back, guiding you, touching you, keeping you right there.
Frank, his eyes softening when he sees you across the yard.
Frank, sunglasses on.
Frank, muttering something horribly funny in your ear.
Frank, giving you a bite of a cupcake. Kissing the frosting off your lip.
Frank… existing as a man for one day. With you.
Ok I’m done now lmao
Have we moved on from this or can I say that I don’t think v!Pyro actually killed Czeslaw, and rather that they were just so convinced of the monster that he was becoming that I think it’s just as likely that Pyro had just convinced themself that he did really kill Czeslaw like everyone thought he did.
Convincing himself he wasn’t turning into a cruel and violent person, but rather that he had been one all along.
The way Dan so clearly wanted Phil to kiss him when he put the jelly on, and had to mention several times that it was too much
