This ideas was with me for a while now, because I play games on PS :)

Perhaps, a Flippy with gamer! reader wouldn’t be so bad, would it? If you’d like more detail, I play shooting games (DOOM, Call of Duty, Wolfenstein etc.)

Flippy

Flippy would actually quite enjoy video games and would probably ask to play them with you

He especially likes games with a calming atmosphere such as Animal Crossing and Kirby

But believe you me, Flippy's not good at them… yet even if he isn't the best it's just fun playing them with him

He tends to leave the room if you start playing first person shooters

Flippy likes that they make you happy but with the sounds of firearms and screaming it can be very triggering

And he doesn't want to make you scared, nor does he want to make you break away from the game to deal with him

There is one kind of game Flippy's really good at however, and those would be puzzle games

He's a smart bear so even though it takes him a minute to figure out the puzzles he'd enjoy every minute of cyphering it out

Flippy wouldn't be opposed to a date with you where you just play some games and eat pizza

But all things considered he's more into card games than video games

Sam

Sam has already gotten quite a bit of experience with gamers so it's not like he's completely clueless

It's more so that he doesn't understand their appeal, he likes how they make you happy but could never imagine playing one himself

Sam enjoys some videogames however, one of his favourites being Fallout

He likes watching you play videogames, especially fps games

The usage of guns and the violence involved just really speaks to Sam's heart y'know?

Of course, to be expected, he also really likes point and click adventure games, although he sometimes jokes about how their too meta

Sam can try his hand at a co-op game but he's really bad at them

He likes other kinds of games though, he really likes bored games and twine games

Sam may not play many video games but he enjoys making them and you enjoy demoing them

He doesn't plan on realising any of them, but it's a hobby that makes the both of you

Jackson has borderline personality disorder (characterized by impulsive decision making such as substance abuse and poor financial choices, mood swings that occur over a short period of time such as hours, extreme anger and issues controlling it, a pattern of unstable relationships, fear of abandonment, fluctuating sense of self.)

Harrison has histrionic personality disorder (symptoms being perceiving relationships to be closer than they actually are, obsession with their physical appearance, unstable and rapidly shifting emotions, seeking to be the center of attention, voicing strong opinions wherever they actually believe them or not, feeling underappreciated or depressed when they're not the center of attention, excessive public displays of love.)

Carson has narcissistic personality disorder (symptoms including lack of empathy, few boundaries, a sense of entitlement, inflated sense of self-importance, constant need for praise, an expectation of receiving special treatment.)

Hope has BPD which stands for BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORDER.  I’ve had two people at least go over this idea and seem to agree with the argument that I laid down for her having this.  It is a supernatural based show and you can argue both ways of what I see so please realize that this isn’t me 100% saying in canon she has it and that the writers are going that way or whatever else. 

Also would like to say that it is UNLIKELY that Hope ever actually gets the words said to her given that she hasn’t even really done a whole lot of therapy and other things. The only time she has done sessions was with Emma and that was counseling which is a little different than therapy.

According to the DSM-5 has these symptoms of which you must meet FIVE out NINE.   That was all taken straight from someone reading the DSM-5    (   video here  ).

Frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment.

A pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation.

Identity disturbance:  markedly and persistently unstable self image or sense of self

Impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self damaging ( sex,  spending,  substance abuse,  reckless driving,  binge eating,  etc )

Recurrent suicidal behaviors, gestures, or threats, or self mutilating behavior

Affective instability due to marked reactivity of mood

Chronic feelings of emptiness

Inappropriate intense anger or difficulty controlling anger  (frequent displays of temper,  constant anger,  recurrent physical fights)

Transient,  stress related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms

Post traumatic stress disorder  also known as ptsd.   Hope was mentioned to have this in her FILE that was given to us before legacies and Emma also mentioned it briefly in an episode in season one.  Well,  I decided to go looking at Kati Morton videos to bring up what is in the DSM-5 since I don’t have a copy.  

Exposure to threatened death or actual violence,  sexual violence etc.  You have to either have experienced it yourself,  witnessed it,  learned the traumatic event happened close to where you were,   or experienced repeated graphic detail of the event (like first responders).

Have to have ONE or more of the following intrusive symptoms

flashbacks,  dissociative reactions

Persistent avoidance of the stimuli connected with the traumatic event.

Negative cognition and mood connected with the traumatic event.  Has to be at least ONE MONTH.  Has to have impairment in functioning during the life.

I know for sure there is more information that I could pull out for everyone on this as it is a complex disorder but this is just one video       (  located right here ).   I really encourage you to look at the video and really anything related to her channel because it is so informative and hands down has helped me when looking up illnesses that a character might have.

gonna be completely candid and say that i haven’t really had the motivation to write much lately because i’ve been super  ✨ depressed ✨  and just got diagnosed with bpd and i’m falling behind in school and work sucks and i’m just trying to figure out my life so uhhhh i might empty my inbox again and drop a lot of my threads to kinda.....  start fresh ig???  i may even remake again who knows lol but i just wanna say thank you to those who have reached out and that i love y’all endlessly and hopefully i’ll be more active again soon <3
