"Hey," you greet him in surprise. You did not expect him to show up. But of course, you start grinning like a mad person. Your boyfriend is here. You've seen him a million times, but you always smile when you see him. Always.
Jungkook is standing in front of you, wearing a black mask, a black hoodie and grey sweatpants, with hilarious star-shaped blue shades on his nose. His grey beanie does not hide his messy, black hair very well. He waves at you, and you know he's smiling just like you are behind his mask.
He'd told you he mostly couldn't come to the date today because he had an important meeting. You decided to expect the worst because.. you get it. But he actually turns up. On time.
You're in an aquarium. There's sea animals floating around you within the glass walls, in the blue water. The biology enthusiast in you is screaming with joy. You've been here several times before, but bringing Jungkook here just makes it ten times better.
Jungkook lowers his mask and leans in with that smile on his face you knew he'd have, and he kisses you. He looks ridiculous with those glasses, but his face just makes your heart melt. He quickly wears the mask back, reddening slightly.
You hold his hand as you guide him through the aquarium, showing him around the place. You talk and talk, describing every living being you see in the waters and how they live. Jungkook nods along, amused, as you both wander through the place. You've only recently started dating, and he's never seen you so.. enthusiastic; in your element. Sometimes he doesn't understand what you're saying and sometimes you go into a tangent on a completely different topic, like the ocean currents and how they influence the water temperature, but Jungkook manages to understand whatever you're saying and enjoys it.
After a long last you guys finish your tour and go to the lake a mile away from the aquarium. It's beautiful. There's a canopy growing overhead, on the bank. It's full of flowers, well trimmed fields and a floor of fresh green grass. It's mostly deserted; Jungkook finally takes off his mask and smiles at you. There's a little cafe near the place, and you eat there, talking. There's no one there, except for the friendly owner (who makes a delicious pizza). "Did you buy this place?" you ask him, raising an eyebrow. Jungkook laughs as he stuffs a ridiculously huge bite of his pizza in his mouth.
You sit in the cafe and talk for ages, watching the pretty blue sky outside, until he looks at his watch by accident and yelps as he shoots out of his chair. He apologizes profusely as you wrap it up, pay your bills and go on your own ways. You kiss one last time, and you know you miss him already. You think he feels the same way too, judging by the sad look on his face.
You then sit in the train on your way back home. It's relatively empty. You pop in your airpods and play a song of Jungkook's. You close your eyes as you listen to it, the sun setting outside the window, and you know that you'll see him again. Soon.

Definitely anything that involves food. A new restaurant would be something he would love. Maybe even taking a few cooking classes together, or going out grocery shopping and then getting home and cooking together, having a romantic evening at home. Simple moments he'd always love to share with you.
Yoongi/ Agust D/ Suga
Movie night? You two could go out and enjoy a movie together, maybe stopping to have some dinner at a quiet restaurant before or after the movie. He'd also really love to watch something at home with you, it could be any movie or even binge watching a short series. Snacks, wine, blankets and lots of cuddling.
Hoseok/ Jhope/ Hobi
Somewhere you two can talk and enjoy each other's company. An elegant, classy restaurant and after the two of you can go and get a coffee, then a walk on the beach or in a park, where you two can hold hands and either look up at the stars and the moon or see a fireworks display.
Namjoon/ RM
Somewhere the both of you can discover new things, a museum of any kind or an art gallery and definitely a stop at a coffee shop and maybe a small stall that you and him can pick up a few used books. He would love to hear your views on the things you see and how they make you feel.
Jimin
Somewhere that requires the both of you to dress up. A musical? Something that involves art, whether that is dance or singing. An elegant restaurant, this could be before or after the show. I think also a long nights' drive. He'd want to have a few glasses of wine or champagne so I feel like he'd be the type to have a limousine transport you two around for the night.
Taehyung/ V
Something cute and fun, I think either an art gallery or an amusement park, probably both, art gallery in the day and then as it gets later the amusement park. Places where you two can see and buy some art pieces. The amusement park where you two can walk around holding hands and go on the different rides together.
Jungkook
Somewhere you two can play games and mess around, also definitely a casual restaurant. He'd love to eat something simple but filling with you such as pizza or a burger and fries. Take you maybe to a bowling arena where you two can have some fun and then maybe a late night stroll on the beach or in a park just talking about almost everything.
It's okay if you don't want to answer the questions that i have send. But i have another one for you ( thats not about toxic armys and their shenanigans ofc) but there's that has been stuck in my mind lately.
I watched two Jackson Wang interviews and he pretty much talks about feeling lonely in life. For example, he confessed that he hasnt found any love connection and never had a serious relationship with someone, even though he really wants to. He even turn the ligths on in his house everytime he goes abroad. Because he wants to feel like somebody is waiting for him at home and is waiting to welcom him. Just the domestic normal stuff that normal couples in a serious relationship do.
Its definetly possible that most of the bangtan members are feeling this way too. The loneliness, longing for someone to their real personnality and not just the celebrity status. I'm curious to know who's longing for it the most.
There is no denying that being a public figure, especially some big star, can have an effect on the private life and interpersonal relationships. But also, difficulties are there, regardless of someone's position in society, except they can be of a different nature and some of the issues can be all the same because we're all just complicated people at the end of the day.
I know about those Jackson Wang interviews. I also saw recently how he invited some fans back to his place post-concert. Whatever he's going through, he's doing it all publicly and as much as it's a friendly get-together and Jackson wanting some chill time with the fans, he's still not some average person. So, things might get complicated or not. If this is one method of his of not feeling that lonely, then what else can I say?
But going back to how it relates to the BTS members and how they might find themselves in a similar situation, about feeling lonely, about wanting some connection with a partner and so on, that's something that we don't know. We might speculate based on their music and lyrics perhaps, or what they say in interviews and all that. But it would be nothing but this glimpse in someone's life that is pretty much private. None of them are as open publicly about the idol life in terms of romantic relationship as Jackson is. And as much as there could be commonality because they've all been working in the same industry and living similar lifestyles, it doesn't mean they all end up having the same trajectories and difficulties along the road. Maybe they're in happy relationships, maybe some of them don't want commitment and are into more casual situationships. Maybe some are currently dating, while others are not. This is really a topic on which there's barely anything there to talk about because it's simply a topic they don't acknowledge. And they're keeping that part pretty much to themselves. Who's to say that one member hasn't gone through a difficult breakup at some point, while being really cheerful on camera? In the 10 years that they've been active, I'm sure life wasn't all perfect.
Fans like to speculate and believe they know when something is wrong, especially in the case of those focusing on a supposed inter-band relationship, when something is going on, if they're going through something, or what's the period in a relationship when everything is going well, but somehow, they can't also tell when a member who is not majorly shipped with another, might be having love troubles with a partner who is outside the band (cause they're not all in a poly relationship, as much as fans like to joke about). That's something to think about because I believe it shows that theories are just theories and outsiders don't really have access to much and a lot of things can be deceiving. It's one reason why, when I used to read about ship timelines, I always thought about how could a fan/shipper be able to do one? Because it's like taking a step further from enjoying the interactions and the moments. It has a sort of fictional element to it. But I went too much of a tangent here, a bit unrelated to your ask.
The point is, I don't necessarily disagree with you because there are factors that can have similar effects on those who lead a certain lifestyle, but then again, generalizations don't always help and we have to look at the individuals as well. Who they are are, their temperament and personality and how much they are willing to share. If they want to or have any desire to do so.
BTS - Most likely to date a foreigner (Most to Least)
Thank you anon poster for the request. Our opinions only.
This covers only people who are completely foreign / have grown up in another country rather than people who are half-Korean and have grown up within that culture.

Being able to speak English would definitely allow Namjoon to be able to better connect to someone from another country, so long as they were also fluent. While he would prefer if she could also speak Korean, we don’t necessarily think not being able to would be too much of a barrier for him. We see him as someone who already has a lot of knowledge on other countries, cultures and customs but is always wanting to explore the world and learn more. He has also spent significant time studying abroad in New Zealand, which would have opened his eyes to different traditions and allowed him to meet people from different walks of life. The biggest issue in a foreign relationship would come from him being unable to sometimes ‘unlearn’ some of the dating rules he has picked up from growing up in South Korea. He might struggle with the typical power dynamics between the genders if he was dating someone more liberal, but he would try his best to understand and change any behaviours that might be considered disrespectful to the woman he was dating.
2. V
We definitely see Taehyung as someone who would view foreign women, particularly Europeans, as quite exotic and desirable since he is someone who embraces and consumes a lot of foreign art, music, fashion and cinema. He is one of the few members we can see actively seeking out a mixed relationship, though perhaps for the wrong reasons. He would love the idea of a classical ‘Hollywoodesque’ romance or something he would see in a romantic comedy movie, though the reality of dating a foreigner with cultural differences might not become clear until later. Although, from what we gather, Taehyung is from quite a traditional family, we do notice in him an increasingly rebellious streak and the need to ‘prove himself’ and be ‘different/individual’ that might inspire him to want to break the norms and date someone who his family might not approve of. We also think he is the only member who might date someone who is not fluent in Korean. He would have the romantic but possibly naive idea that love can overcome all barriers including language, and would initially enjoy dates that would include things can both enjoy without in-depth communication such as visiting galleries and museums while holding hands. The physical aspects of such a relationship would also be important, with him showing how he feels with his lips and body. We do think a relationship like this would not last long-term, as both parties would end up becoming frustrated, both in themselves and the other person, at not being able to truly show the other how they are feeling.
3. Jungkook
As someone who has grown up constantly travelling and meeting people from around the world, we do think Jungkook might have a broader taste when it comes to the women he is attracted to. He would find women of different races physically sexy, as well as being more open to embracing another culture. We particularly think he would be keen to date an American or someone from Japan, since he has spent a lot of time in both countries. While he might not necessarily seek it out, we don’t think he would be too nervous about dating a foreigner if she showed interest, so long as she spoke enough Korean to be able to share her interests and passions with him. As someone who is eager to learn English and other languages, he would also love and embrace the challenge of trying to match her knowledge of his language with his of hers. He would also love sharing parts of his background with her, such as introducing her to local traditional food, music and customs.
4. Suga
Communication would be of huge importance to Yoongi in a relationship, so he would need to date someone fluent or almost-fluent in Korean but would also not be against trying to learn another language to provide more equality. We get the impression that Yoongi does not really care too much about tradition; while he is proud of his heritage, he also openly recognises the downfalls of his country and the expectations placed on people to fit with cultural ‘norms’, so while he wouldn’t actively seek it out, he might naturally find himself breaking with tradition and falling in love with a foreigner. We also think he would find women of all races attractive in their own ways and as someone who has a lot of general knowledge about the world, would not be too baffled by different attitudes or opinions. We think above all else, it is important for Yoongi to find someone who is on his ‘level’. This would include sharing a similar sense of humour (and being able to make each other laugh) as well as finding common ground on interests of experiences growing up. He would particularly love to find, for example, if a foreigner had grown up watching some of the same T.V shows as him or listening to the same music. While age is also not important, we do think a relationship with someone who is around his own age might be easier to establish as he would enjoy comparing stories of what it was like to be a child/teenager in the 90s and early to mid 2000s.
5. Jimin
While we don’t necessarily think that Jimin would actively want a relationship with a foreigner, we do think he would be attracted by the idea of having a casual date/sexual encounter with one. We see Jimin as someone who is very influenced by his friends and those around him, constantly seeking approval, so might not feel in his comfort zone with someone who comes from a completely different culture to his own. He likewise might feel a little intimidated by them, especially if they are from a more liberal background or had opinions which differed to what he is used to. We do, however, think he would be physically attracted to women of a different ethnicity, but would be too shy to actively pursue her.
6. J-Hope
While we don’t think Hoseok would turn down the chance to date a foreigner if he liked her and they clicked well, we do feel he is more likely to fall for Korean women. He strikes us as someone who would want his romantic partner to remind him of home; comforting and familiar when he comes back from long tours away. We do think he would enjoy being friends with foreigners, but might not get the same 'homely’ feel from them.
7. Jin
Like Hoseok, we feel Jin would want his girlfriend to feel stable and homely. We also think, as someone from quite a wealthy and traditional Korean background, his family might have stronger opinions on the type of woman he should marry, and he would respect that decision more than some of the other members might. He would not be actively against dating a foreigner if he met someone he truly liked and if they shared common priorities in life, but we think he is more likely to find that with someone who comes from the same cultural tradition as him. We also feel he is more likely to date someone conservative; who is happy raising a family with him and settling down as a wife and mother. We don’t think he would be demanding of this; but would naturally find himself attracted to women who gave off that vibe.
