A/N: I figured this would be fun, I’m not following the movie timeline. Please don’t just copy elsewhere
This all started when you made a crochet sleeve for bucky.
It was black and helped him feel normal in a sense.
Then you made a sleeve for Steve’s shield.
Steve was confused and going to ask you about it, until he saw nat shaking her head.
“They makes things for everyone, just accept it.”
But the elders couldn’t let it go.
So they came up with a game plan.
Bucky really got it started.
“What if we just ask them to teach us”
Steve was unsure
“What if they feels like we don’t want them to make us stuff?!”
“Steve you’re a dumbass, they won’t feel like that. Maybe they’ll be excited to have someone to share their craft with?”
“Ohh I didn’t think of that”
“Of course you didn’t”
So the plan was set in motion
One morning you were on the couch crocheting and talking to nat… who had a pair of knitting needles!!!
Something the two of them have never seen before.
“Morning boys”
They have already been caught.
“Morning y/n, morning nat”
“Im gonna take my project to the other room, have fun y/n!”
The men watched nat leave and seemed to relax a bit.
“How can I help you boys?”
“Can you teach us”
“Teach you what? How to use the microwave again? Light switches? The compound doors? The tv? Movie player?”
“No can you teach us how to do what you do”

“Oh that yeah I can. Let me grab my extra hooks”

You’ve finished your project, and the two super shoulders were just finishing up their test squares.
“Ya know, i don’t know how yours look so nice all the time. Mine looks bad”
“Buck don’t be so hard on yourself, it took me a while before my edges came out nice, or I stopped reducing stitches”
“It was relaxing to sit here and do this”
“That because yours came out nice punk”
“ gentlemen, no fighting. This is supposed to be relaxing. And Bucky I’m not perfect either. I made a few oppsies on your arm cover”
He just gave you a confused face
“WHERE!”
“Here let me see it and I’ll show you”
He took it off to hand over
“Here I messed up which stitch I was doing, on many sides I did that.”
“It’s still LOVELY THOUGH”
“I know, that was the nicest out of the three attempts”
More confused face.
“You just have to practice more”

Bucky has now learned he likes knitting more than crochet.
And has now knitted:
Beanies
Scarves
Gloves
Socks
Bags
Steve has now crocheted
Blankets
A hat
Gloves
The team, they thought it was funny at first. But now it’s just a lot.
They get things from you and sometimes the soldiers. But you mostly get the gifts they make.
They can’t escape the 🧶….
Tony: Y/N!!! Stop teaching the elderly!!
Y/N: but why?!?!
Tony: steve and buck now both crochet because of you! And now we have yarn in bulk being delivered.m!!
Y/N: bulk yarn?!
Bucky: great you ruined the surprise!!!
