I can't believe that despite decades worth of research, its sheer availability in modern day and age and a huge damn load of proof, there still are people who think that a complex dissociative disorder, stemming from a natural TRAUMA response, can form without trauma.

It's okay if you want to be quirky and special. I get it, same here. But you don't have to fake a debilitating mental disorder and make actual extensive trauma survivors look like fools in the eyes of public for that!!! We're already a marginalised group. Getting a diagnosis and being taken seriously is already hell. You don't have to make it ten william times more complicated for actual disabled people! God!

endo is an inherently ableist and problematic label that spreads misinformation about complex dissociative disorders by very definition. if you use it, misinformed or not, you are still spreading such ableist misinformation. you are still being ableist. does this make you irredeemable? no. does this entail addressing, apologizing, and rectifying? absolutely.
