Aur kya dekhne ko baaki hai
Aap se dil laga ke dekh liya
“What else is there now for me to view, I have experienced falling in love with you.”

Wo kahin bhi gaya lauta to mire paas aaya,
Bas yahi baat hai achchhi mire harjaai ki.

Main na aane ke iraade se hua hi nahi tujhse juda kabhi..
Main jab bhi hua door tujhse, Kuch dair baad fir laut hi aaya hoon.

Akele meiñ hai raat hamsafar merii, is vaqt zindagii hai rahguzar* merii.
(rahguzar* = path) . Vaqt ke saath duniyaa meiñ kho gaye haiñ, jaise dil ko bhii naa hai khabar merii. . Sab chorte gaye akelaa mujhe yuuñ, jaise kisii ko naa ho qadar merii. . Yuuñ dukhii hone se ab kyaa hogaa 'aks', yahii hai zindagii kii dagar merii.

Mirza Ghalib: most popular Urdu poet
Mirza Asadullah Baig Khan was born in Kala mahal, Akbarabad, Mughal Empire on December 27, 1797. This location is currently located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. He was a poet from India who wrote under the pen names Ghalib and Asad. His honorific was Dabir-ul-Mulk, Najm-ud-Daula. The already declining Mughal empire was overtaken and superseded by the Colonial British Raj during his lifetime, and he was eventually overthrown following the First Indian War of Independence in 1857. These incidents are described in depth in his work. He wrote in both Urdu and Persian. Despite the fact that his Persian Divan is at least five times the length of his Urdu Divan, his popularity is largely on his Urdu poetry.
Ghalib’s existence was one of constant misery, anguish, and grief, with the exception of a brief period in his early youth. He was descended from a prominent family of Seljuqid Turks. His forefathers served in the Mughal and East India Company armies. He was born in Agra in 1797. Abdullah Beg Khan, Ghalib’s father, was slain in combat when he was just five years old. Ghalib was raised by his uncle Nasullah Beg Khan when his father died, but he died when he was nine years old. Ghalib was now living with his mother’s affluent parents, whose indulgence towards him resulted in him developing unfrugal habits and falling to teenage indulgences that would later be responsible for many of his problems.

bas ek aakhri tamanna reh gayi hai seene mein
aur sabhi to kab ke khaak ho gaye
bankar hawa jab bhi main shehar se tere guzaru,
rooh teri baakhuda kaap uthe

Akhir jee gaye yeh zindagi hum apne dum par
Saanson ne toh khaak na sambhala.
Jo chaha tha tumne arson se
Uss khwahish ko humne raakh bana dala.
