pov i just logged on after going inactive as soon as i said i was coming back
im just a mysterious recluse idk man
🦋📖🧠 (for the ask game) -Casper
yo!!
🦋 - How many headmates do you have? 🦋 currently, there are 10 active headmates! the safety pins has 7 folks (crow/me, snuf, irónice, riley, the writer, aj, bug), and the knights are 3 people :)
📖 - What source do you have the most introjects from? 📖 lmao this is easy--moon knight! we introjected the entire system in the show (+ possibly one headmate from the comics). we also have a moomins introject, a post-fictive of a DnD OC, and... idk what i am but im probably some level of introject
🧠 - What's the headspace like? 🧠 a void with a flat floor that is not visible. no walls or roof are visible--it's impossible to tell if it's a black space/large room or entirely empty. its not at all active, but on occasion we'll interact in the void. we just show up as ourselves there, when we can/do access it. we do also have a headspace-ish that's just talking/sound. might make up a word for that. that's permanently active, where we all talk, echo, etc.. people can't always hear it, but it's always present. theres no space/environment associated with it.
actually i probably will make a post about that because it's cool, and feels more like our headspace than our actual headspace!

i love that it’s pikachu saying this bc pikachu attained freedom by electrocuting the fuck out of ash and outright refusing to get into the fucking pokeball
so. uh. hi. sorry we were gone.
short version: the past two months have been a fucking disaster and everything is on fire.
long version: under the cut, TW for uh... everything? (or just check the tags)
What is CDD and how is it related to DID?? Sorry
CDD (childhood disintegrative disorder) is a disorder on the autism spectrum and it's just not related to DID at all. it's characterized by sudden reversals or late onset developmental delays of language, motor skills, and neurotypical socialization, usually around age 3-4 years old. In the DSM-V it's just under Autism Spectrum Disorder, not its own diagnosis.
the two are insulting to compare (to both disorders).
with DID, it's offensive and wrong because it implies DID causes intellectual disability (it doesn't), that DID is static (it's not, DID is sometimes curable and CDD never is), and that DID is just like autism (no). It's not bad to have an intellectual/static disability, nor to be autistic, but it's still not good.
with CDD, it's offensive and wrong because it implies CDD is dissociative, trauma based, curable, and not neurodevelopmental.
it's just bad and wrong all around.
we’re going to start trying to stay off tumblr for the shabbat (sundown on friday to sundown on saturday), so heads up that we won’t be replying in that time!
this person RBd a post from us with these tags
[ID: #frankly i don't like op #but im willing to overlook syscourse rn #because reproductive rights are so much more fucking important. end ID]
like? hey? why??
we're also not a syscourse account really, we talk about it sometimes because it keeps circling back to us but we're just some gremlins. it's perfectly possible to engage with our blog without paying attention to it, especially if you go to headmates' personal blogs.
just. absolutely weird shit. a rb starting with "i don't like op for unrelated discourse but i'm reblogging."
and this person HAS US BLOCKED.
incredible.
hey so we're an endo collective and we try and not actively participate in syscourse for the most part, but i was hoping yall could give some opinions on a post we saw? the post was from griffinsyscourse and i agreed with what they were saying. it was about how the demedicalization of medical terms (system, alter, ect) is harmful and that, while theyre not saying our experiences arent real experiences of plurality, we should try and use different language like collective or headmate instead. weve been using system up until this point but i really agree with what they had to say, but i wanted to hear some more peoples thoughts on kt!
Why do people keep asking me abt this blog like this. It's clearly just a sysmed.
Anyway they need to prove those are purely medical terms first, which they haven't done (bc they aren't)
"system" as a term predates medicine (obviously) and medically speaking a system =/= plural, there are singlet systems and that's the basis for IFS. a system is literally "a set of things working together as parts of a mechanism or an interconnecting network."
"alter" is short for alternate personality/identity state, it is ALSO not an original medical term, it post-dates "alter ego" and isn't exactly creative. actually, "alter" is less medical than "alternate identity state," which also isn't inherently medical.
i'm excited for their sources too, especially since i've never met a single clinician who believes the terms to be exclusive.
nothing is being demedicalized, if anything, the terms are being needlessly medicalized so people can make up a guy to get mad at.
[also, obligatory reminder that endogenic =/= nondisordered and traumagenic =/= disordered and an origin says nothing about one's diagnostic or disordered status]
Just informing you I reblogged this, but through the reblog queerautism made so I do not believe you would have gotten a notification. It is a bit down on my page if you wish to view it, it addresses this.
- Tim (he/him please do not use they/them for me)
hi! unfortunately your reputation precedes you and i have no interest in interacting with you, but thanks for whatever you thought was important to say i guess
i mean, you said you were excited to see his sources, what happened to that?
super fucking ableist to ignore what someone has to say about you harming people like them with their disorder because you don't like them.
if you aren't interested in participating in conversations where people are trying to tell you about your harmful behaviour, don't engage in them in the first place.
i hope its lovely in that little echo chamber you live in where you ignore how what you say can be bigoted because youre "radically inclusive". ableism isnt so inclusive in my opinion, but whatever
- damian (he/him)
"if you refuse to engage me in the argument i want to have you're ableist" sure is a fucking take my guy
You do not own specific language. Shut up about it.
it gave its opinion on the topic, engaging with it, and then refused to listen to what we have to say
in the same way its fucking ableist when an anti-endo hides behind their "endos dni" after saying bullshit, this is also fucking ableist.
or do you not consider it ableist to ignore the concerns of people with an actual disorder telling you you're being harmful to them? does it only matter to you when its endo and non-disordered systems talking?
- damian
I do not think it's ableist when people think you kinda suck and do not want to engage with you specifically, no. Y'all are kinda unbearable.
interesting of him to assume that we/crow do not have a disordered system and to assume our origin.
we do not disclose our origin nor the specific dissociative disorder that we have, but that's also part of why it's a bold assumption.
us not caring about discussing with a specific teenage system who has a history of being absolutely obnoxious in the notes of people we follow routinely is not "anti endos DNI," it's "we're blocking you specifically because you're fucking annoying and we've already been forced to read all of your points."
the accusation of ableism because of not talking to someone with an "actual disorder" is just... yeah i can't make ourself care. the assumption that he knows our disabled and disordered status is ridiculous. the assumption that we aren't or don't listen to disordered systems is ridiculous. the assumption that we never engage with people who disagree with us is ridiculous. but no, we don't owe you a debate or time spent reading your post.
plus, if you really cared about sharing your sources, you could've not sent crow to dig around on your page to get them.
i hate that how in plural spaces DID and OSDD 1b really are the only disorders that are talked about and known. i've seen OSDD 1a systems talk about their experiences and are fakeclaimed for their alters not being distinct enough and therefore just role-playing. and P-DID is just left out of the conversation in general. they always say, "only DIDOSDD systems are valid!" and as a P-DID system, it does hurt even though i know they technically include me, just keep forgetting.
anti-endos are so obsessed with finding the fakers that they hurt members of their community for displaying healthy unique differences in experience.
sorry if words are weird, sick and brain not really working that good.
- aspen
Oh they barely include OSDD at all, just when they can use the concept to hurt other people. You're so right, and it genuinely sucks
its so frequent for OSDD-1a to be a complete afterthought and for someone to use OSDD/OSDD-1 when theyre explicitly talking about OSDD-1b. im guilty of this too, so i try to keep myself in check and not contribute to that erasure
I had to learn about OSDD-2 (which isn't even technically a system related disorder, just a dissociative one) from a comment that @the-safety-pins made. It would've been REALLY beneficial for us to know about that because it's very relevant to our life!
Also of note--OSDD-1b doesn't, like, exist
I mean, obviously the experience does, but there is no diagnostic difference between 1a and 1b, there are no additional subtypes of OSDD-1 (1a/1b is taken from the previous diagnosis of DDNOS)
So it's not even using an umbrella to refer to one subtype. It's just ignoring one of the two main presentations of the same subtype, which in my opinion is almost worse.
(And as ze said, yeah, OSDD is used synonymously with OSDD-1 constantly and that's also extremely harmful!)
Hey i know you were getting into the conversation, but because of your implication disordered system = constant suffering, im gonna block you. I know you might see this as cowardly and laugh at me or whatever but at this point you're just speaking over someone with DID whos saying being disordered doesnt have any moral weight to it. Please think next time before you make the implication DID=always dysfunctional. It would mean a lot to me and a lot of other people with CDDs
this is fucking hilarious. not saying who sent this but i know who did, and yeah absolutely embarrassing shit here. context: they were arguing all systems were disordered and traumagenic, that everyone else was faking or wrong, no one without OSDDID could use the term “alter” or “system,” and pwOSDDID couldnt identify as singlets/not plural.
all of that’s bullshit, and i said as much.
i hope it’s clear by my usual content, but i did not imply that. i said disordered plurality causes distress, because it does, that’s what qualifies it as a disorder. a disordered system has not achieved healthy functioning, because if they did, they wouldn’t have the disorder even by the DSM’s standards. this is also conveniently ignoring i brought that up because saying fully healthy and functional plurality is a disorder would mean homosexuality would be back in the DSM too, and there’s a reason it’s not.
weird to say that acknowledging what makes something a disorder and why it matters is saying disorders are morally bad. especially to someone who is very open about having numerous disorders, including a dissociative disorder (i do not disclose which one), and being a disordered system.
(also the use of CDD here to refer to DID is violently ableist and incorrect jsyk :) thats not what CDDs are and the implications of this use? disgusting!!)
so anyway, if you’re reading this, yes, you ARE a coward, and yes, i AM laughing at you. especially because you sent a message to get the last word in before sending an anon and blocking me. this is actually legitimately pathetic and embarrassing behavior, and i’m not falling for your guilt tripping because you take every criticism of your harmful beliefs as ableism.
grow up, please. if you’re genuinely so huwt and scawed and im being such a meanie, you’re fully allowed to silently block without being this ridiculously petty about it and should have done that. but it’s not about that, and you know it isn’t. it’s about being right and not having to reconsider your beliefs. it’s about getting the last word in.
hey people in our beloved badly drained wetlands (dc metro area), anyone know of reputable upcoming protests re: the scotus leaks? we’ll be researching more later today but info is good!

Required Reading on the DSM-V <3
hey guys!! i know trying to discuss disorders gets overwhelming, and it’s hard to know where to start with research. there’s just so many books and articles, so you just end up reading tumblr posts instead, i get it.
so today, i’m here to offer my reading list for the DSM under the cut, so you can go in prepared before you make your post!
Hey @sophieinwonderland just curious, is punching a nazi okay?
sksokd lmao we had the same fucking idea and you beat me to it
screams in Jew.
This is about her insistence that fighting back is never the answer but okay, sure, we were -checks writing on hand- comparing all OSDDID systems to Nazis, that's definitely what was going on here
Huh?? This is a "is violence ever the answer" question. Stop trying to make everything about DID or OSDD systems
It's always weird how people don't understand context, and that parallels and comparisons aren't literally equating things.
But to answer the question, it's obviously context dependent.
Punching a Neo-Nazi in a bar is just going to start a fight and get both you physically hurt. It's a useless action that helps no one. Punching a Neo-Nazi in a protest can end up starting a riot that gets people on both sides killed.
Publicly punching a Neo-Nazi on camera might be politically advantageous. Nobody likes Nazis in most modern politics, so this puts Nazi-adjacents in positions where they either have to support the violence or support the Nazi.
Now, if we're talking about a country controlled by Nazis, the calculus changes. Obviously, in a war with other countries, the best tactic is fighting.
However, from within a fascist nation, violence can be counterproductive in many circumstances. It will often make neutral parties sympathetic to the authoritarians, and make people okay with signing away more of their rights. Statistically, non-violent resistance in the modern world tends to be a significantly more effective mechanism for overthrowing governments than violent resistance.
hold on let me just
there we go
