Working an office job will truly make you have the wildest enemies, bc why is my nemesis rn a woman I’ve never met and who exclusively haunts me by sending diabolical emails, and also a specific guy who left my company before I even worked here and made the system so fuckass that it ruined procedures for like a year
Yesterday my nemesis (woman I’ve never met and whose face I’ve never seen) sent my office an email so rude, basically saying we had fucked up every project she ever ordered from us, one of the worst emails I’ve ever read in my life.
And it pissed me off so badly that I spent the ENTIRE WORK DAY today compiling evidence from every project my team has ever done for her, pulling past emails she’d sent us, putting together an entire case proving that she had been the problem all along. That she got projects mixed up, that she’d made requests that were nonsensical, literally everything you could possibly imagine. Screenshots of emails, reports we’d submitted, EVERYTHING.
This woman in particular has been terrorizing my team for years, her name is almost a slur in my office, I had simply had ENOUGH of her.
I put all of this evidence together and sent it to all of my bosses at 4:30pm. Then I took a long break to eat a sweet treat and drink some tea.
After my break, my bosses all called in an emergency meeting with me and they said they read my report and fucking loved it. And I sat on a teams call with my boss’ boss as she wrote my nemesis the scathing email I had always fantasized about sending, using the evidence I’d compiled, and hit send.
It was the most satisfying workday I’ve had since I got hired.
the vocal minority
As they say, there are people in the world who think that anything which was not made for them should not exist. Your job as a creator is to absolutely never make anything for these people.
You cannot please everyone. If you try, you will please no one. And no matter what you do, you will have haters. The better your work and the more loved it is, the more and louder will be your haters. Hate mail is proof you're doing something that matters.

Emos & scene kids got this close to abolishing gender for real. I try not to think about it too much.
The idea of a popular teenage subculture where girl & boys pretty much all dress the same feels impossible now but for a while it was reality and it was beautiful.
just seen the news from portugal. how many more people have to die before rider safety is taken seriously at these races it’s sickening
a 19 year old kid should not die doing his job because race routes aren’t being properly secured.
more than anything the thing i’m angry about is the fact that this was completely preventable. some risks in sport can be reduced but never completely removed - crashes can always happen, and no amount of safety measures can eliminate the risk of death (though more can always be done). but an unauthorised vehicle on the road at a race like this shouldn’t be possible. riders shouldn’t be left vulnerable enough for tragedies like this to happen. i don’t understand how the first death of this kind didn’t trigger a complete overhaul of the whole system. how is the response to this anything less than the implementation of whatever measures it takes to stop it from happening again. it’s just so horrible

im so so SO thankful for the servicing missions. Not only for obviously fixing hubble up, but also for taking all these careful close up images. I mean I know they were all done for technical inspection of the cold and inanimate hardware

unintentionally they feel very tender. Like just sitting still with somebody for a while and taking time to notice all their little perfect imperfections. Happy birthday Hubble.

I've been meaning to make a post talking about my stroke because y'all got bits and pieces of the recovery but I never actually told the story of HOW it went down and the thing is the type of stroke I had is usually the type young people have and since having mine i've now heard multiple stories of people under 40 having very similar strokes and the scary thing is, is that they didn't get help right away. Because you're young and healthy and sure you feel weird but it'll pass right? but it doesn't, and it gets worse, and by the time you get to the hospital (some people literally take days to go) the deficits are worse and recovery is harder.
so here's a super long post about strokes in general, and mine in particular/what I went through.
Some of you might remember me talking about this when it happened- please read and be aware that strokes can happen at any age!
For anyone who has ever had covid before, please be sure you are aware of stroke symptoms. Each successive infection raises the risk in a pretty major way, and a lot of people are dying young due to not knowing these signs or being afraid to act on them. Please take care of yourselves.
