The Great Wall of Vagina - Jamie McCartney (x) Jamie made molds of the vaginas of women between 18 and 76 years. Among others, they include twins and transgender women. Women are often confused about their vagina, because they think it looks different: with this project he demonstrates that vaginas are as different as faces. McCartney hopes that his work will help to stop the increasing growth of labia corrections in recent years.
(Yes these are vulvas, the title of the work is a play on words, The Great Wall of China/Vagina rhymes, Vulva doesn’t.)

one of my worst writing sins is abusing my power to create compound words. i cannot write the sentence "The sun shone as bright as honey that afternoon." no. that's boring. "The sun was honey-bright that afternoon" however? yes. that sentence is dope as fuck. i do not care if "honey-bright" is a word in the english dictionary. i do not care if the sentence is grammatically correct. i will not change. i will not correct my erred ways. the laws of the english language are mine.
Honestly always found this stylistic part of someones writing to be truely delightful. Like a group of friends getting ready to have a historical themed tea party and have a goofy time pretending to be snobby victorian english-folk
please enjoy this "vintage movie poster" I saw in a dream which was so funny to my subconscious that I immediately woke myself up to write it down for later
when people visit, I keep almost intervening in how they interact with Belphie, because they'll pick him up and carry him around, or cuddle him up to their face, etc....but then I'll see Belphie closing his eyes and leaning into it, purring full-blast, and it's like oh okay he wants to be treated like a stuffed animal. he's into this. I'll let everyone just do their thing, then.
little boy who LOVES YOU
Best trick I ever picked up. Seriously.
I have also learned this is great for [PICK A COOL NAME FOR A SHIP] and [LOOK UP THE FACTS ABOUT OXYGEN LEVELS] and [WHAT’S THE WORD] and [DOUBLECHECK CHARACTER’S EYE COLOR] and ALL KINDS OF THINGS.
Anything that isn’t critical in the moment, and could be filled in later while I’m currently trying to burn through writing pages that will be lost if I don’t get them out right now? Brackets.
This is seriously the best advice, and it really helps put it into perspective that the first draft is just that- a draft. There’s no reason to agonize over a particularly tricky bit of writing when you could just leave it in brackets and skip to the good parts, the parts you’ve visualized. I also use brackets for [fact-check this], [use a stronger verb], [is this in character?] and other notes as I write, just so I don’t forget what I want to work on when I go back and edit.
Note the good sense of [brackets] not (parentheses).
Parentheses AKA round brackets can appear in fiction, usually as an afterthought in a character's thoughts or narration (as I saw them used just recently), but square brackets hardly ever do.
Good post op. {need to remember this for later}

In undergrad I submitted an English essay with an in text citation of [remember to cite the shit here]. The prof left a very plain and direct comment of “you forgot to cite the shit here”. I think I died inside.

Clearly a chain of the greatest wisdom
He was as tall as he was tall, and his eyes were the color they were. To describe his hair one would say that he had some. His face had all the features you'd expect, and none of the ones you wouldn't. "There he is," people would often say of him, but only when he was there. And they were right.

seems like there's a whole genre of:
society: autistic people fundamentally don't comprehend [x]
autistic people: no, I get it, I'm just Not Gonna Do It
just because I understand doesn't mean that I agree
At some point in my childhood someone quoted, "You've gotta know the rules to break them," at me and I took it to heart
