same girl, I would also travel space and time for my pup :,)
“The betrayal of the love of your life abandoning you in your most vulnerable time is a higher form of betrayal than what she confessed that night, by every measure imaginable. “
- The Drama: Blatant Abuse (awritersmargins)
Has the potential of marrying your high school bully ever crossed your mind? Well, this film is essentially the reality of that.

“The Academy found their moment to honor his work but picked the wrong film to do so. Mediocrity was awarded that night. These people are under spells.”
I cannot believe that this man made There Will Be Blood and lost Oscars. The halo effect made a political film out of something that wasn’t
I finished Bugonia smiling... Been a while since a film in recent years got me to this point.
"I love the classic John Wick neon-soaked world as much as the next person. It works. Eve's story however, doesn't fit that world."
I am a bit late to the discussion, but I finally got around to watching this movie. Sadly I was a bit underwhelmed ...
Here is what I had to say about it: Ballerina
"SEE? DEPTH!"
...for audiences who don't pay attention. What an odd thing to say…
Anais Nin, In Favor of the Sensitive Man and Other Essays
My late night life:
Write a little, write a little more. Edit. Edit more. Watch sixteen YouTube videos on a niche aspect of what I want to write. Transcribe half an hour of commentary on the subject. Click back to docs. Write nothing that has anything to do with all that research. Edit some more. Line out what I want to write. Write the exact opposite of the framework. Delete half of what I wrote. Have a panic. Fall asleep to the adrenaline dump. Barely wake up on time for work the next morning.
thinking about how when you experience a lot of shame in your formative years (indirectly, directly, as abuse or just as an extant part of your environment) it becomes really difficult to be perceived by other people in general. the mere concept of someone watching me do anything, whether it's a totally normal activity or something unfamiliar of embarrassing, whether I'm working in an excel spreadsheet or being horny on main, it just makes my skin crawl and my brain turn to static because I cannot convince myself that it's okay to be seen and experienced. because to exist is to be ashamed and embarrassed of myself, whether I'm failing at something or not, because my instinctive reaction to anyone commenting on ANYTHING I'm doing is to crawl into a hole and die. it's such a bizarre and dehumanizing feeling to just not be able to exist without constantly thinking about how you are being Perceived. ceaseless watcher give me a god damn break.
sorry to put your tags on blast on this insane breach containment post I have since muted, but you're right and you should say it.
It is defeatable. Go for the throat.

Can someone who listens to Cameron talk about these movies please tell me what his thoughts are around Lo’ak? Because I have not stopped thinking about him for the past week and the more I do the more avatar 2 and 3 piss me off.
Why not just make him the main character and explore that? Why have the kid even consider offing himself and then try making us forget about it almost immediately after? That sh*t was dark, man. It put me in so much emotional distress because I really didn’t see it coming, but for his parents to not even acknowledge his absence broke my heart.
I am no nutrition expert but I do have a pretty damn good track record of keeping myself alive, so I want to remind you all that "fed is best" also applies to adults. There's nothing you could eat (that has been deemed fit for human consumption, I don't mean asbestos you smartass) that would be worse for you than just straight-up not eating. No food is as bad as no food.
A protein bar isn't the best possible source of protein in your diet, but it's better than not getting that protein. Fresh fruits would be better than orange juice, but if your choices are between having the orange juice and not getting the vitamins at all, you drink the fucking orange juice.
If you were out at winter while barefoot, and your options were between wrapping random newspaper around your feet, or not having anything to protect your feet, you wouldn't think "newspapers are a worse option than proper shoes, therefore I shouldn't take this worse option" and go barefoot.
Was lowkey disappointed with how varang turned out to be after meeting one man. "Oh but she never met someone like him before!" what a classic trope
She’s just barely a notable character and having her on the poster TWICE is such a scammy thing to do but whatever… marketing is marketing
“It’s photoshopped” honestly in the age of AI that has a homey sort of nostalgia to it. Remember when people used to put effort into faking things?
the avatar movies are crazy bc "what if colonizers literally inhabited and puppeteered the bodies of indigenous peoples in order to exploit their homeland" sounds like the premise of some sort of anticolonial horror film, like specifically the kind of thing that would be commenting on self-indigenization among white settlers, but because it's James Cameron his whole takeaway from that premise is "it would be preddy cool"
actually sorry. the takeaway is also "the white settler possessing an indigenous body would actually be extremely good, perhaps even The Best, at being indigenous, and he would become their Leader"
jamesy read dune and said wow this paul guy is pretty neat
"Breadcrumbed along, with nothing to show for it. An involuntary ego death."
