Growing up Lgbt is whole other experienc...especially when you constantly nearly out yourself with jokes...but have queer role models is one thing that can help normalmize the LGBT in this heteronormative world...Some wondeful queer icons I know and love include:

•Troye Sivan

•Hayley Kiyoko

•Brendan Urie

•girl in red (Marie Ulven)

•Sam Smith

and of course there are many more....

Queer representation on TV also created comfort in young LGBT kids as they find a character that they can relate to...it also helps other kids see that being LGBT doesn't change who you are as a person and that every person is equal no matter how they identify.....

Many TV shows and movies are trying to include LGBT rep | some shows and movies I know that involve LGBT charcters incl:

•Love,Simon

•Call Me By Your Name

•She-ra:Princess of Power (Netflix)

•Perks of being a Wallflower

•Teen Wolf

•No Good Nick (Netflix)

And of course many more

Just a reminder that sometimes these shows portray a certain stereotype of LGBT people that would be easily recognized without explicitly saying they are whatever they identify as EG. making a gay guy very feminine etc.

And yes there are many feminine gays but there are also feminine straight guys and more masculine gay guys too..there is no right and wrong way to dress,act, present yourself to the world....Y O U R L I F E Y O U R C H O I C E.......
