Thats also what I mean that "The Reservation" in a settlers mind is like this weird alternate reality & almost not a real place, they think its a singular, weird place. Like Silent Hill or something. There's settlers that either think that Reservations were "reparations" for Native American genocide (they're not, they're both a product & tool of the genocide) and/or that Native Americans specifically chose to segregate ourselves there & "The Reservation" is this awful place where we choose our own misery & the bad stuff that happens there. And it can all be fixed by just not living there. And if we still face racism or addiction problems etc then its still our fault, & they completely divorce all the issues on Reservations as entirely seperate things that happened because Native Americans are bad people who make bad choices & not the reality that they're the after effects of living through our own apocalypse
